    First time I’ve seen a video of anyone going down Hurricane Creek Trail, usually it’s the other direction. Great looking ride, thanks for sharing these awesome trail videos!

    Sometimes it takes watching someone else's video to remind me I live in the most beautiful area in the world. Traveled these roads a lot in my life and I need get back out in the boonies. I've always owned Land Cruisers but bought a Tundra last time and don't like trail riding in it, even though it's the TRD Off Road model, just a little too large for my taste. I just bought a almost new TRD Off Road Tacoma that just needs a little lift and some bigger tires for ground clearance and we'll be taking it out. I had bought it for my wife but she's decided she should have sold her Trail Edition 4Runner so I've talked her into a 200 series Land Cruiser as her DD so we'll have to do a few add-ons to it also LOL! We took up fishing a few years ago and don't trail ride like we use but we're both getting the bug again. Watching videos like yours, makes me want to get back out there again very soon. Great job, really enjoyed it. I use to ride with the guys from East TN Overlanders but never went to one of the SMOR events, need to get to one soon, maybe next year. Also went to the Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride at Windrock every years and it's been about 3 years since I last went. I will make sure to check out the rest of your videos. I think I have a video uploaded from an ETO ride going up Hurricane Creek, just the last mile or so in one of my older Land Cruisers. Maybe we'll meet on the trail one day, take care.

    When you ran into the cable and signs... the trail actually goes through the creek to the left. Gets tight but has a camp sight at a nice overlook

    Awesome video! Was the creek crossing you mentioned being one of the highlights of the trip...towards end of video when you were talking about Buzzards Roost...was that on the GOAT trail, or forrest road 288? I'm planning an adventure motorcyle trip to this area and would love to hit some water crossings other than Hurricane Creek. I think Hurricane Creek may be too rough for a big adventure bike!!

    Another epic adventure! I plan on doing Buzzard roost, Hurricane Creek and Max Patch in October. any route tips or possibly a time line to make that loop? Thanks!

      Its a fun trip. All three of those can be done in a day. Hurricane creek is more fun going up from I40

    Heya Bill, how bad is the bug (particularly mosquitoes) issue when camping along the SM1000/500 pleases?

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  3 роки тому +1

      It wasn't particularly bad. We always use bug repellent, it also helps with ticks. Thanks for the question.
