'So scary'. Whales surround rower out in the Atlantic | ABS-CBN News

In a stunning encounter in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday (July 7), a rower got up close with a large pod of whales. Tom Waddington, a UK-based ski coach, captured footage of what he estimates were over a 1,000 long-finned pilot whales.

They're trying to tell you to turn around. That's why they're called Pilot Whales, because if you get lost, they'll 'stop' you from going out to sea.

@@chiccacherrycolalime Yeah they think he's lost... Sometimes Gulls will lead you back to shore too, but they're going that way anyhow. But Pilot Whales will stop you with a tight circle, if they think you're lost, hence why they got their name, because they'll literally pilot you back to shore by doing so.
