It's weird how his father felt like the stereotypical black man who abandons his family, then the developers thought the best conclusion to his story would be for him to become a father, but ended up using another black man stereotype of accidentally knocking up their girlfriend early into the relationship. They could have had him becoming a father to an abadoned child, it would have worked so much better IMO.
Can I just say that I don't really blame Jacob for cheating on Shepard? If you've actually watched how his romance plays out in ME2, Shepard is basically forcing herself onto him and pressuring him into the relationship. If I were in his shoes, I'd seek love elsewhere too.

Zaeed will also bad mouth the current Blue Suns leader if you keep talking to him. if you let Dr Archer worry, he pulls out a gun, walks off camera, and you hear a gunshot.
I think by far the worst thing about Jacob is only revealed for Fem Shep. In short, the gross way Bioware forces you to only interact with him by being flirty in ME2, then he cheats on you between ME2 and ME3 (in the unlikely event you romance him). Also, his loyalty mission in ME2 makes Miranda seem more interesting than Jacob. (There's other stuff - the veiled racism, the flightiness, the standoffishness, the way all his suggestions are terrible - but that's the short version.)
All of those poor ex Cerberus scientists outside the lab died because you were just standing there cracking jokes about Jacob getting shot 😂! Lol! OMG I can't 😂!!!
Back in Project Overload, the renegade ending would have meant to keep David attached to that horrific experiment only to find out in the Cerberus scientists mission that he is DEAD. Who would encourage Archer to continue that torture after seeing the "bigger picture"?
I mean, Archer's a d-bag with a capital "D", but when he says it was a nightmare, he probably means when he realized that he became such a monster, and having to live with himself afterward. It's unlikely he's trying to say that at the time, he suffered just as much as his brother.
The dialogue options for Jacob are not romantic. He says the same thing to male Shepard. I don't get people's issue with him. He does a good job and is a loyal crew member and friend. I'm happy for his new purpose and life.
