My plan is to hopefully take his toddler granddaughter to the cemetery to sing happy birthday and for her to blow the candle out. She’ll never get to meet him in earthly form so it is important for me to teach her everything I can about him. I decided to start this ritual to help keep his memory always incorporated in her life. My hope is that some day many, many years from now when I’m gone she’ll keep the tradition alive.
