Love these cards!!!😀 Don't worry about your coloring!!! Don't put yourself down! No one is perfect and all you have to do is look at the comments (only the good ones😉) to see how many enjoy what you ate doing and they learn a lot from you. 💜😀🖍🖌 I don't watch you for perfection I watch you for inspiration and fun! You Got This Girl!!!😀
Hi JD, I am from the UK, South Yorkshire,, right now we are surrounded by floods from constant rain, some of the awful floods are near to us, so bit scary right now I love your videos and like you we have been crafting just about the same time, 2yrs, but this year spent most of my time in and out of hospital after a bad fall at home and broke up 2 bones in my left foot, this has made it that like to have to learn to walk, but am doing fine, after all that keep the videos coming, loved your little boy so cute xxxx
Love these cards, will definitely be trying this. For the last one I think I will be doing a double die cut, just to make the die cut a bit more stable. Glue the dies together. Only one piece of card insert though. Or may see what acetate looks like. But seriously great video and got my brain ticking over with ideas, and that's what it's all about. Thanks girl. Xx
I really loved this one I’ve never heard of Dutch doors. I especially loved the fairy and the mermaid. I wanted the first one to be a bigger door. Wow JD some major talent! You did a beautiful job on all of the cards the coloring on the first card was phenomenal! Stop talking smack on yourself! You are so creative girl! Jeep up the good work.
It’s so satisfying watching the speeded up colouring. I hope it’s a regular feature of your tutorials. I’ve never heard of this technique but I’m sure I’ll give it a go soon. Love the demonstrations. 💚❤️💜💙
I love the fairy card! I enjoy watching your videos and am glad you allow us to see that not every card comes together as it was envisioned. Keep up the great work!!! ❤️😊
For the ocean colouring, I have something you might want to give a whirl. Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. For this particular mermaid card, I would go with the colour numbers 152 thru 163. 154 is one of my all-time favourite colours. - Set out the pencils from dark to light. - Laying the pencils almost flat, gently, oh so faintly colour the horizontal stripes, dark to light, bottom to top. Make the darker colour bands narrower than the lighter ones. - With your aqua brush, turn the panel upside down and brush the water from light to dark. By the time you get to the bottom, you'll have a little liquid with colour gathered that you can "back up" however far you want the dark to be. It sounds complicated, but I could have done 3 cards in the time it's taken me to type this out. -- CAVEAT: Practice first. On cardstock, you have one wash with the water to make this happen before the paper starts pilling and/or tearing. Really 2, maybe 3, but I tell myself one to make sure I have all the colour I want in place before I bring the water to the project. On the gatefold cards where you coloured the rainbow of flowers. In the same amount of time, you could have coloured them with the AD h2o pencils, hit the petals with the water brush from the outside in and you'd have a gradient of colour, light on the tips, dark at the center of the flower. I have no affiliation with Faber-Castell, I'm just obsessed with Albrecht Durer and Polychromos pencils.
Hi JD! Your videos are so much fun to watch 😀. And I love all the great technique and tips that you share. It’s great to have you trying some ideas first. Thanks for saying you are friends with your fans!
I "discovered" you only yesterday, but already I'm a fan of your lovely techniques and positive attitude. Might even back the mermaid with acetate to allow for clumsy fingers. Thanks for the inspiration!
That last one is also my favorite!! You crack me up, sooo funny. That’s one reason l never miss your videos. Keep it up. You put a bright spot in my day !! Love you...
Hi JD. I thought I'd seen it all but your take on crafting is so new & refreshing. You're a great teacher and your coloring is very good. I appreciate all of the tips that you share. You probably think you're just talking (to yourself) but you actually share some insights that I've never heard from seasoned card crafters. I could not resist hitting the Subscribe button this time. Thanks a million!
Loved the video, emojis and all. I think you're super talented and appreciate the time you take to film, edit and share your videos. Keep 'em coming girl!!
Havent seen this design of card - so another great video friend. I agree that the fairy card is also my favourite. I do enjoy your videos. I like different card folds or movement cards. TFS
We Are Friends. . .are you coming over for a crop? I should clean. . . Girl, you have so much tech skill- you NEED to come over for color tips. Great cards as usual
Thanks for this video, this is a new style to me. Can you recommend a book that has a lot of folding and styles for cards? I’ve been searching in vain for a book; I did find a website with a nice list and instructions, but I’d prefer a book to have open next to me while I make the cards. And the emoticons and pop up noises don’t bother me, we are all loud in my house so I’m used to hearing background noise 😬
Love these. I’ve actually done some similar to this, but I learned to make them about 50 years ago, then we just called them a card within a card. I really love the idea of your mermaid, but the fairy one wins them all. The vibrant yellow was really nice with the black card coming down on top of it. xxxAnnxxx
OMG, for anyone who has complained about the emoji “pops” - this video just happened to have a few more pops than usual. Having said that, the video editing process is tedious; if you’ve never edited a video you have no idea how much work goes into this process. JD’s videos are full of great tips and she packs a lot of information into one short video. It kind of annoys me that people can’t see the hard work, and appreciate the good without the negative comments. Thanks for the videos JD ! If you choose to address the “constructive” criticism, perhaps you can lower the volume attached to your emojis. 🌟
I really like this technique and think it will be great for journaling and in scrapbooks too. Just found your videos and love your down to earth style so have subscribed to your channel. Tfs x x from UK
I love the things that you do and I will use all of them. I like how you are good about letting your mistakes, if there are any, be okay. I do find the emojis distracting.
It was very interesting and I like smileys but I need to hear headphones and believe me it’s not easy to keep hearing the sound of the smileys , sorry 😐 ...
HI JD. Love your video. For the Fairy card would it be better to have a sheet of acetate or vellum on the back of the die cut side to help hold it together?
Love this technique! Thanks for your simple explanations. I love the fairy one too. I have the reef border from Hero Arts. Might give this a try with some blue inks! By the way I love the casual style of your videos and the emoticons. They make me smile. Maybe you just need a softer sound for those listening with headphones! 🎧🤷🏻♀️🥰
I like your channel! Do you do bookbinding? That seems to be a natural fit for you. And YES :) Your video has me thinking about how it would work as a book. with a story. Thanks for the tips
Hi Jd certainly been inspired by your videos, just wanted to know where did you get your clear t square ruler from? Many thanks , and keep on coming with the ideas, inspiration and fun.
@Laura Gutierrez THanks Laura i live in France so will have to look on amazon as we dont have Michael stores here , and i havent seen anything like this in m y local craft store
Love your ideas! Just started watching you and really enjoy you and your videos. I've been card making since 1997 and I've come a long way. Maybe it would help if I knew how to "season" my stamps. Help, please?
I jist got that fairy die and up ubtil now, I was like........hmmmm that was impulsive because I saw only 1 use....thanks for sparking the creative juices
Oh the fairy is my favorite too!!! My only problem is all the pop up emoji and sound effects. It’s very distracting. Other than that it was awesome and I look forward to your videos! 🧚🏻♂️
Thanks! I might have went overboard with the emojis this video. I'm always afraid of boring people so I add a little emoticon surprise. Appreciate the feedback.
Hi JD, i love this idea and they look great. Please stop the pop sound every time you insert an emoticon, it is not very pleasant when you have head phones on.
Thanks! I might have went overboard with the emojis this video. I'm always afraid of boring people so I add a little emoticon surprise. Appreciate the feedback.
My advice to the complainer: don’t listen via headphones. To you, JD, your videos are fantastic and have taught me so many techniques and have given me wonderful ideas. You are the best!
@@mugsiewugsie not great advise when you don't know the circumstances. I have no choice but to wear headphones. Of course it is up to JD and how she wants her vlogs to be, and that's ok. But it was not directed at you sorry.
Each time I see a gorgeous thumbnail of a card I want to make, it is you JD!
