As a hedgehog mamma, this is beautiful. Not many people give hedgehogs a chance because they think they'll be hurt. My little boy helps with my anxiety so I carry him around in a little pouch around my neck. It's so lovely to see people bonding with these wonderful creatures.
And that tiny pub that was built for him is just so adorable
I had to give mine to a friend, because my house smelled like urine. I cleaned her home frequently, but still... I do think they can be potty trained. That would have helped. But she liked climbing on the sofa and on me, but she pooped on me, the couch, the carpet, and my hands. I like most animals, but I can't have any that poop and pee freely.

I have a 3 legged squirrel , and same as Hedgehogs , incredible beings , animals . I fell in love with them . Once you have them , you wonder how you managed to live without them . Animals , that is what my life is now . No way back .

I’m sure Waldo’s mom knows a lot about him. He looks happy and healthy. This vid encouraged me to google African Pygmy hedgehogs, which is the most common pet species. Boy, they require quite a bit of special care! One thing I did notice was that they can become obese, leading to liver disease, if not fed the right diet. They need several additives to their food, and it should be high protein/low carbohydrate. I assume Waldo’s mom knows this and only gives corn as a treat and not a regular diet.

I was wondering about the corn. I don't know anything about those little creatures but I guessed that eating just corn wouldn't be that good for him.
This is so precious and cute! I have never seen a hedgehog before and they are so cute. I agree with you. Both you and the hedgehog got something out of the relationship that was beneficial and each became the better for it. This is just so heartwarming.
