It looks like she got lost, she still has a collar around her neck. Then she was most likely hit by a car so she doesn't necessary hell like it were humans that hurt her. But yes she's a sweet little doggo

@dm5341 Yeah, but those same people also created Brachycephalic breeds... and keep making them even though we now know that they suffer Every. Single. Day. from inherent breathing problems due to having the same number of teeth and same sized tongue & soft palate JAMMED into a mouth hole that's HALF the normal size (& bugged out eyes bc there's not enough room in their skull). All bc "people who deserve dogs" (& cats) don't bother to research before buying them.

So my cat is a carnivore, so are dogs....most people too. I didn't make nature's dietary rules, and yet I still think animals should be treated with kindness and respect. Just speaking for myself, if I looked it in the eyes, I can't eat it.

Poor sweet baby was in extreme pain but still waggy, lovey, and smiley. Sending prayers for bonded pair Nemo and Mia to get a forever home together.
Being smiley can be a sign of stress in dogs during scary situations (people, too).

This little baby is so trusting. You'd expect her to show fear and aggressiveness but no she's a smart girl who completely understood their intents to help her and show nothing but love.

I just adopted a dog from The Animal Pad 😀 He was rescued from Tijuana, I get him on Sunday.
You realize that he's going to be under an extreme amount of stress, right? Have you ever dealt with this before? Most people haven't & don't know how to help them by giving them a quiet reception/ place to hide & decompress, letting them interact with everyone on his own terms, at his own pace. Make sure you ask them about his triggers/ stressors & get as many of his supplies/ toys/ foods that he's used to that you can bc it'll help him feel less unsettled. Good luck & bless you for doing this 😺👍
When I first saw her leg, my heart sank. Thank you for taking care of that sweet soul. I hope she has a good home. She deserves it.
Another example, of many unfortunately, of the critical need to donate to animal rescue centers. They do much needed life-saving work but need each viewers' help to continue. Hope & sympathy alone don't help feed or pay the vet bills unfortunately, and every cent to these animals is a matter of life and deth. I donate a little every month to small shelters and rescue centers since I choose life for these animals and hope you do too. Plz choose a shelter or rescue center of your choice and give, even if just a small amount. Saving animals is definitely a collective effort and needs many more people to join this noble effort. Hopefully, you will.
You can also volunteer &/or foster animals, which is really important right now bc most shelters are overwhelmed with abandoned "covid pets" bc owners had to go back to work or lost their jobs/home, etc.

@@candidaprout560I think the gender police meant that she may have escaped/ got out (I prefer 'went for a wander') and didn't realize that anyone who'd go to this much trouble for a "stray" would also check with the local shelters/ Animal Control & put up signs to see if someone is looking for her.

Little confused on the leg…. Did it get fixed or amputated?

Amputated. It looked like an old injury on the x-ray which had healed incorrectly with the bones in the wrong position; you can see it’s smaller than her other back leg, too, so I’m guessing some muscular atrophy. It was pretty clearly making it difficult for her to move around and causing her discomfort; removal was likely the safest option to improve her quality of life.
Tripod dogs can live full, healthy lives; you can see in the video that she’s moving much better without the literal dead weight. She should be on her way to a brighter, better tomorrow!

OMG at the end it looks like her leg was amputated and my heart dropped. I didn't see a cast or her leg. Then the following shots don't show her leg either, only in a stroller and then hopping along in recover. I hope she made a good recovery and has a great life with a new, loving family
They need us. They can't survive without us, and too often because of us. I'm so grateful for rescue people, no matter where they are on the chain. They are heroes to so many of us! These adorable pups are perfect 🥰 . Thank you so much for saving them and loving them. ❤😊❤

I don’t know what to say to people like you who help poor helpless animals. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough. You give of yourselves to help them. You don’t have to but you do. My heart honestly broke at the sight at seeing a dog being so sweet despite being in no doubt obvious pain from such a broken leg, at least now that it's removed they don't have to suffer anymore.
A world with these two and all those that helped them regain their strength and hope is a world to love. Thank to all that gave their time and energy to support these two beautiful dogs!
