Eau Duelle EDP was my first niche fragrance which started my obsession 14 years ago. As you described Eau Duelle I am thinking I didn't get the green vanilla vibe. I always thought that the EDP was just a stronger version. Now I need to get my nose on the EDT. That Liis Bo is in my cart now (sample). Love your nail color choice.
Oud for Greatness would absolutely be a repurchase for me, but I wouldn't need it right away because it's a scent I tend to reach for during specific occasions :)

Herod and Bo are two of my all time favorites, both discovered thanks to you! I also recently discovered Bois de Santal based on a post you shared on IG, absolutely incredible sandalwood fragrance. Thanks for all you do! :)
Lovely video! Some of them I expected, some were more surprising 😊 I've only just realized that half of my perfume collection is based on your recommendations (sampled first and loved!) so thank you!!❤❤ I'm sorry if I missed this from your previous videos, but have you had the chance to try out Santal Calling by Ex Nihilo? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! 🌞

So cute!! I was proud of myself I didn’t peek at what you picked I hustled listened with anticipation. So happy to see you go with some long time loves. A few surprises….no Gypsy Water??!! I thought for sure that would be one. ❤❤❤❤😉
and it's hard not to peek the description!! 😆 ah yes, I opted for Eau Duelle as my green vanilla 😄 but I'll always have at least some fragrance with the G Water DNA in my collection!
Yes, that was so fun! And the only new addition from your 2 Top 10 for Life videos...drumroll please...Ambrosia Imperiale! I guess I need to sample that. Honestly, it's the banana note that scares me😂 But I do trust you👍
Thanks Anne. Next on my list to hunt down is Ambrosia Imperiale. I'm really intrigued. Banana is a tricky note and I've only got one full bottle fragrance in my collection that opens with banana and that's L'Artisan Parfumeur's discontinued 'Bana Banana'. It's a much greener 'unripe' plantain vibe than I'd ultimately like but works beautifully in the final blend (it is Celine Ellena so one would expect nothing less than banana champagne). Disappointingly, banana accords all seem comprised of very light molecular compounds so it leaves the skin and evaporates into the air very quickly (that sensational hook note in the Comptoir Pacifique vanilla banana one is another deeply frustrating example because once that magically fruity-gummy-banana note goes, one's left with nothing but something redolent of a old crumpled up, dusty vanilla Little Tree smell-- awful). No matter what final composition banana fits into, the note just won't linger as a leading cast member. I'm hunting for a high end fragrance with top notch ingredients which features a prominent banana note in a far creamier, more gourmand direction. Thank you for describing the Navitus fragrance in such a typically colourful, passionate, learned way. Here's hoping I can order a sample from here in the UK. 🍌🍌👃😃
Brilliant video. Many of us (ie ME) only want a capsule perfume for the seasons and occasions. Hubby has his (Naxos, Gris Charnel and Vibrato) and he’s content with those 3!
Hi Anne! I enjoyed this video! I was very interested in your vanilla pick and it's Kayali Vanilla 28 for me too. I own many vanilla fragrances, but I would choose Vanilla 28 first because of the layering factor and reasonable price. Delina Exclusif would definitely be on my list. I'm a huge fan of Jazz Club, but not sure it would be in this group. - Ms. Charlette
Great video, thank you! If you love sweet tobacco check out Charuta Tobacco Vanille and mix with your Kayali Vanilla 28! Omg I don’t have words if you love a sexy jazz club scent. To die for!!
I adore Eau Duelle, but it lasts 15 mins on my skin; so gutted. Can you recommend something else similar but with longevity and moderate sillage? I like unsweetened vanilla by the look of it :)
I have and love Architects Club and it is often compared to Eau Duelle. Thoughts? Are they similar, is it redundant to have both, is Eau Duelle better?
They are super similar! I would own Architects Club if I didn't already own Eau Duelle, I love it :) I find AC to be a touch greener, woodier, & a pinch more fresh from the lemon, but I think it's redundant to own both
Do you have a rec for a less dense and deep vanilla instead of Kayali vanilla 28 perfume? I find it’s very heavy on me or it’s because I live in a warmer climate it feels that way. Almost like a vanilla good for spring because I can only wear vanilla 28 in winter.
Sure! I'd recommend trying Burberry Goddess as shadowangel613 said, as well as Lancome Idole Aura, Chloe Vanilla Planifolia, Micallef Ylang in Gold, Commodity Gold Expressive, Eau d'Italie Morn to Dusk, House of Sillage Hufflepuff, or Xerjoff Dama Bianca
My clean scent is L’Eau Papier, but I have samples of Another 13 and like that one too. 💯agree Bal D’Afrique cannot be beat for a unique citrus. I have a little sample of Eau Duelle-would you say the EDT works in warmer weather?
@@amosunia I feel like it's warm and creamy enough for cooler weather, and the bit of sweetness from the mimosa and musk makes it work for all seasons-it's so interesting, kind of ethereal, and beautiful!
Oud for Greatness would absolutely be a repurchase for me! But I wouldn't need it right away because it's a scent I tend to reach for more specific moods/occasions :)
Hi Anne, is it true Herod has a heavy dose of ambroxan? You’ve put me onto Herod but heard it’s an ambroxan bomb with moderate longevity (noted you mentioned 6hrs)
BoraBora has more thick tropical florals, it's more creamy, more dense. The sweetness is also done differently because of the apricot, caramel, and jasmolactone. Ylang in Gold comes across more ethereal, and has a slight bit of a banana like undertone :)
Agree! Ylang in gold is unique because it’s creamy and warm. But it’s definitely smooth. Way oud satin oud is smooth. So w the mfk. If you don’t like rose oud DNA. You won’t enjoy it. Here, the creamy is not only w a banana nuance. It’s lactonic white vanilla & ylang. If you like that, it’s one of a kind must have.
Thank you girls! I have bora bora and looove it! Just don’t want to add anything if they smell alike. But rising the description I think it’s totally up to my alley
I’ve watched your videos on layering but I’m so nervous to layer mine 🫣 what do you usually layer your vanilla 28 with? Can you successfully layer strong perfumes or are lighter formulas better to layer? Like flowerbomb with something else?
Vanilla 28 pairs well with the majority of my fragrances! florals, wood, fruits, gourmands, ambers, powdery scents, smoky scents, booze, lavender, a bunch! I'd recommend spraying two scents you're thinking of layering on a test strip, or spraying the two scents side by side on your wrist and seeing if you like the combo at home. That way, if you don't like it, you can easily wash it off, and you're not stuck with it because of being out. I layer with both, stronger and lighter scents, it's really about how the notes complement each other for me :)
Ylang in Gold. I have a question please. I’ve been looking high and low for the answer but I can’t figure it out. Is both bottles - the all white bottle and the clear bottle with glitters inside - does it both carry the same scent?
May I ask about Ylang in Gold? So I was almost buying it blindly but then I learned it sprays glitter which to me was very off putting. Does anyone feel the same?
This probably sounds so horrible but I always think, if we were to have a natural disaster, my fragrances are always on the list of things I would try to save...I seriously come up with hypothetical scenarios to save them along with things like pictures, journals, etc. Hahaha!!!🤣
I'd definitely repurchase all of those! Spiritueuse Double Vanille is my favorite vanilla, but I would purchase Vanilla 28 first because it's more affordable and it's my layering staple. Gourmand Coquin is one of my favorite gourmands, but it's discontinued (have yet to try Feve Gourmande and see how it compares) so I couldn't add that one to the list. Mon Guerlain is a lifer for me, but I was limited to the first 10, so many of my favorites couldn't fit onto the list! And I'm not engaged yet so there's no immediate rush to grab my wedding scent 😄
