I clutched my pearls so fast when you said you initially didn’t like Bal D’afrique. I was in a total state of confusion, but I’m glad you recognized the gem that it is.
I didn't get Gris Charnel at first too but now I absolutely love it! 🥰 I think I expected something sweeter. Whereas Eau Duelle and Bal d'Afrique were loves at first sniff! 🤩🤩 Great video, thanks!
I just discovered your channel after watching my friends Smell Ya Later podcast and now I can’t stop. Just picked up Kahali Vanilla 28 and I’m obsessed. New subscriber now! ❤
I gasped when you said your initial impression of Bal D’Afrique was basic! 😂It is one of the most unique fragrances I’ve ever smelled I’m the opposite on BDK rouge smoking. At first I was addicted to it, but now it is too candy sweet for me. My husband really likes it though!
I grew to love Amouage Guidance! initial spray was off putting and then i began to appreciate the middle and bottom notes and its the best investment for me so far. Rouge smoking too! it was an initial *blergh* at first but had to try it a few times and then i keep craving for it.
I absolutely love Utopia. So many describe it as a "sunscreen" scent but I don't get that at all. I wish my sunscreens smelled like beautiful creamy florals and sweet coconut 😂. But I'm biased bc I also love Beach Walk, Hibiscus Palm, etc.
Omg GIRL i initially didn’t like Bal D’Afrique either!! I didn’t know you had the same thoughts too LOL. I remember commenting on one of your older videod saying how much I didn’t like it. But now i LOVE it, because the dryness of the vetiver helps to ground the citrus notes, and this combo makes it smell clean and perfect to wear in high heat. Ok i’m gonna wear it out tomorrow 😂
I got Eau Duelle(the EDT) and it is literally EVERYTHING I could ask for in a fragrance. The way you described it drew me in because I love Gypsy Water so it made sense and oh my gosh it literally me in a bottle. I'm already prepping myself for buying another because I know I'm going to fly through it.
What a great list, Anna, so many of these I’ve been having a hard time, and I want to love them, so bad, Gris Charnel being one of them, Eau Duelle, poets of Berlin just to name a few I have hope that eventually I will start liking them I was laughing so hard when you were talking about Bal D’afrique I was like 😳🤯 how could you not like the queen of vetiver and citruses, I’m not even a citrus person. I actually dislike citrus fragrances, but that one takes the freaking kingdom. ❤❤
I'm going through the same journey with Iris Malikhan. When I sprayed it on paper I was repulsed. Wore it on skin, thought it was better but just meh. Now I've worn it a few times and it is really growing on me. It's so unique. I'm getting a similar slow burn with their Lys Solaberg as well! Also tried your Queens & Monsters recommendation the other day and briefly got a pickle smell from the sandalwood, so I left the store, then it dried down and all day long I kept sniffing my arm. Might be going back for that one!
It’s so funny you say that your revisit to Utopia brought your mood up. I just had the exact same experience. Previously wrote it off as a suntan scent, and then I randomly wore it one night as I was cleaning my house… and boom. Instant joy that I was totally not expecting. Gonna grab a full bottle now!
For me it was Atelier des Ors Lune Féline. I think the blast of green cardamom was just ... jarring for me. But I also realized that the season I tried my sample in (later summer) was probably adding to my disliking of it. I tried it again in winter and I was obsessed. I've splurged on a full bottle of it, love it!
I felt the same way even though I love cardamom. For the first 20-30 minutes that cardamom smelled almost like menthol! Then it started changing and I got the smoky vanilla notes and I loved it. I wear it on very cold days and it’s perfect! I just love the bottle with all the gold flecks swirling around. Looks so good on my vanity!
To me Poets of Berlin smells like blackberry jam in to peppermint tea. I am from East Europe and blackberryjam is our “jam” in cold months when we are sick to as I sprayed this I knew straight away what this smells like. But on my skin the drydown gets more masculine, it turns somewhere in the same scent family as Ebony Wood. But I love the beginning. Fresh, but sweet and unique for sure! Poets of Soviet Berlin. 🙈
Omg yes, I am the exact same I get the blueberry mostly in poets of Berlin, then bamboo, same page for sure!! So many lives here in this list, Gris charnel, ylang in gold, eau duelle, poets of Berlin, such beauties!!!❤
I love your recommendations Anne. I blind purchased 4 fragrances you recommended and I love them all. I'm starting a new office job soon and I'm looking for fragrances to excite me for work. Can you do a video about office safe fragrances that are not boring ? to me the note of Vetiver is very work appropriate. would love to hear your thoughts.
I love this idea for a video. I was wondering if you went back and revisited fragrances that didn’t work for you considering how selective you are! Here is my best turn-around story… about 13 years ago I got a sample of Nuit de Tubereuse from L'Artisan Parfumeur. I sprayed it on my skin but it was a scrubber. I hated it!! But I also accidentally spilled a bit on my carpet by my bed… for days I kept getting whiffs of this intriguing aroma while lying in my bed… I had my nose right up to the carpet until I figured out it was the perfume I thought I hated!!! All of a sudden it was a love and I had to have my brother bring me a bottle from London because I couldn’t find it anywhere at the time. Over a decade later and I still cherish my bottle. 🌺😊
This is so relatable! Almost all of my faves started off this way. I wonder what the science behind it is. Nishane Nefs and Ani both gave me bad and ‘difficult’ impressions initially but then my neck did a 180 and I couldn’t stop smelling them. I had the same experience with the Byredo one too. Interestingly, as I think about it-the ones that changed my mind are often the most complex scent journey ones that I love on myself and don’t care how others perceive on me lol
At first sniff Iris Malikhan was a huge no for me. But I’m tempted to get a decant to try it again. I can appreciate an earthier scent but I think I’ll need more time to really wrap my head around this one. I LOVE iris so I’m willing to put in the time for a chance at adding another one to my collection ❤
Lost Alice had to grow on me, but I love it now. I think the first time around I was smelling it after sampling other, sweeter fragrances, so it didn’t stand out or up to those in terms of making an impression. However when I gave it my full attention and sampled it alone and wore it all day…I realized how unique and complex it is. It smells warm and creamy but also peppery. It’s lovely.
@@AnneLauren I think you’d like it because it’s unique and yummy but not cloying edible yummy, very creamy and classy. I think it’s one of the more sophisticated scents in my collection but still very modern. Some say carrot cake because of the carrot note but it’s a fresh grated carrot not a cake-y one at all. Masque Milano is a very nice house but I’ve only smelled Lost Alice, Tango, and Madeleine so far and Lost Alice was the bottle-worthy clear winner.
me too!! it was my least liked out of the rest of the samples i'd ordered, i go back a few months later, not sure what changed but boom, i needed it. I think it really does smell like an english tea party
Ok, I got a sample of bal d’afrique and was expecting nothing…but this girl is something. Like, you are familiar, but I don’t know why. Fresh, cozy, woodsy…how does one scent accomplish all three. At time I feel like I get a whiff of candle lol, but she’s good.
Hi, Anna. I would like to see a video on how to apply fragrance if you haven’t done one before… how many sprays (for casual situations/work or for elegant events/parties), on which points of the body (whether in the neck, wrists, clothing, etc), depending on the season, and so on.
Hey Anne! New subscriber here. Love your videos. I have been going down the Anne UA-cam video rabbit hole 😂 I have recently started getting into scents and I have a question. Would you consider making a video explaining the differences between perfume and eau de toilette and all the other different things out there? And maybe also show your spray routine I’ve heard you mention in older videos? Basically a scent 101 video. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
I currently have decants of Hibiscus Mahajâd, Iris Malikhan, Brompton Immortals, and Gold Immortals...don't currently like them but I'll revisit...I own Eau Duelle EDT but I don't love it yet...maybe in the winter time. I initially hated Tom Ford Noir de Noir and Frassaï Teisenddu on first sniff, but when I revisited I absolutely fell in love and they are two of my favorites. Don't toss your decants right away....hold on to them. Ylang in Gold was a love at first sniff for me!
This is so interesting because to me, the vanilla in Eau Duelle and Poets of Berlin both smell very sweet and gourmandy! Both so good. I’ve said this before, but I’m so glad you’re in the Gris Charnel club now 😂❤
First time I sniffed Bal d’Afrique in a department store in Paris, I did not like it. I was so disappointed because everybody and their mum raved about it. I put the blotter in my bag, and I don’t know what went through my mind because I woke up in the middle of the night to smell it, ordered a sample, wore it for a day, and purchased a full bottle.
Eau Duelle ❤❤❤ Delay win for me was: Henry Rose Dark is Night. Initial test note: “smells like medicine 👎🏻” Year later: OMG this is so good I can’t stop smelling it on me AND my husband!
Anne, I love eau duelle edp, wonder if you have compared the two? Very intrigued to try the edt, the way you described it made it sound so good! Also wanna get my hands on utopia coco😍
I honestly struggle to find a difference between the two. To me, they are about 90% the same. The EDP is a touch more vanilla, more woody and warm, the EDT more sparkling & aromatic. I'm planning on purchasing the EDP when I run out of the EDT to see which one I ultimately prefer, but love them both :)
Yes to all!! I LOVE poets of berlin now. But honestly it wasnt until after my brain registered the green opening to an unripe banana lol after I read/heard that it clicked and became one if my favorites 😂 its also the only vanilla-like perfume I have that my husband enjoys!
I got the discovery set for vilhelm with super high expectations for dear polly and poets of berlin, but idk if my nose just isn't trained enough lol, i thought dear polly was boring and that poets was just a bit off to me, maybe the bamboo? Anyway im glad i didnt blind buy any full bottles, although i secretly really wanted to like at least 1 of the scents since their bottles are so gorgeous 🥲
Ylang in gold did that to me too!!! The best description I ever heard was …. You know that amazing aroma that comes out of a magazine. That amazingly wonderful perfume sample that you rub on your wrist ?? It’s THAT with creamy, bright ylang and coconut ! Holy shit it truly is SUNSHINE in a bottle ❤❤❤❤ holy grail for life
This was Dirty Violet and Midnight Toker from Heretic for me. Luckily, I forgot I put them up instead of decluttering. Took a chance to sniff after a year (!) and I love them.
Tocca Colette, Commodity Gold Expressive, and Les Soeurs de Noe Call Me Iris are more loves of mine but have a definite resemblance to Byredo G Water. I also highly recommend Ellis Brooklyn Apres :)
Eau Duelle was love from the first sniff. Now I own both - EDT and EDP. Iris Malikhan also, just love, love. To me Dama Bianca was kind of slow incoming, but is staying for sure. Got a Gris Charnel partial bottle for a great price but there is something that makes me tired of the smell few hours in. I’m still waiting to love BR540. I kind of like it on other people but hate it on myself. I feel like it is wearing me not other way around. I am looking for my perfect fruity perfume but nothing is quite right. I have tried a lot. A lot. 😃
oh Dama Bianca is lovely. ❤️ I understand what you mean! I need to be wearing the perfume, I don't want to feel like I'm wearing someone else's fragrance.
I tried Bal D'Afrique in a sample, immdiately loved it and ordered a bottle. It took forever for the bottle to arrive and I was very excited once it finally did only to be hugely dissappointed. Where was this unique and beautiful scent that I remembered. As you said Anne...basic citrus! How could this be?!? I returned it. After watching this it has me wondering if this is one of those fragrances that matures as it sits and certain notes become stronger with time. Maybe it was too new??? I had heard about reformulations so I had assumed that was the issue...but hopefully not. Perhaps that can sometimes explain how we can change our minds so drastically for certain fragrances. I think my biggest hate to love has been Muglers Angel Muse EDP. It went from sickly and strong to my nose to I can't get enough!
@@tolikfox007 Totally agreed. If you are going to change a product then you should have to change it's name as well. It is totally misleading to change something and call it by the same name.
Awe I'm sorry to hear that! I'm not sure if it was reformulated or not, I did get my bottle second hand so it did have some time to sit, perhaps that's why? Oh I love love Angel Muse EDP, you get me! 😉 I do understand how it can not be for everyone though, it's definitely an edgier fragrance
I thought I knew I would love the kayali so I blind bought it. I was sooo close to returning it to Sephora , decided to sit on it a while and then when I came back to it 💥 bam I loved it. 😂🤷🏼♀️
Oh my gosh! You make me want to give Ylang in Gold another shot 😆! I couldn't stand it after many attempts that I ended up getting rid of it. And now with your description, I'm like my nose must have been broken bc that sounds sooooo good! 🙈😆
Finally got Deep n desire yacht on your recommendation and man it is sooo much more than a blueberry muffin. ❤️❤️❤️ The dry down for some reason reminds me of something in Poets of Berlin. There's a green note??
How interesting! I don't personally get a similarity between the two, but I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I do agree that it's more than a blueberry muffin, it's so so special. But that's the best way I can describe it 😆 DNDY does have a tea note :)
I keep meaning to sample gris charnel! You always describe it so beautifully. The cardamom note has scared me because it’s not always my fav. I am THIS CLOSE to ordering poets of Berlin haha
I totally agree. I think with a lot of the more unique fragrances it takes a few tries to feel it out and understand it. I’ve had a few that I wasn’t sure I liked at first. Recently santal 33 and another 13 hit me funny at first on sniffing the strip. Second try of each was on skin and I actually like them. I think another 13 could be a keeper in my collection.
Poets of Berlin is so so so similar to mark Jacobs decadence eau de parfum.. Wich was discontinued... So if u loved decadence you will love this one as well... 💕
You are adorable and absolutely hilarious but you have the best descriptions the stories - just brilliant Oh girl I just tried lust in paradise - that was like bathroom fragrance then I tried guidance by Amouage and that was just lingering and lingering and made me sick … I am waiting for ylang in gold sample
I had exactly the same experience with Gris Charnel. After regretfully blind buying a full bottle, I let it sit on the back shelf for nearly 6 months before I reached for it again. Then, like magic, it was perfection for me. Did my nose deceive me initially? Did the juice have time to macerate? Who knows. 🤷 Now its one of my all-time faves!
I always let them sit for a while after the road Idk but they always change, I believe they need a rest to fully perform and notes are more pronounced usually after a month in a dark place
Connor is here for the drama 😈 LOL! To be honest, I don't have any that I've previously loved or liked and then grew to hate, but definitely fallen out of love with!
I sprayed on Eau Duelle about 2 weeks ago...Dear Lord, I couldn't wash it off my hand fast enough. I was so disappointed. I am a Vanilla lover but that one...Nope! I grew to love the original Chloe...In warm weather, it is amazing. So girly & inviting. I get tons of compliments on it.
It's not a typical vanilla at all. I get annoyed when people list it in their vanilla recommendations with no warning, because it's more of a spicy, aromatic fragrance with a vanilla base than a traditional vanilla.
Oh my gosh-I’m so glad you talked about Iris Malikhan! It was a blind buy for me several months ago, but I thought it would be okay since I really love iris in my fragrances. To say I was taken aback upon first sniff is an understatement. My immediate response was OH NO-this is AWFUL. It was just too much. Too sharp, very unpleasant and not at all like the softer, gentler irises in my collection. I wrote it off as a massive fail, and put it away. Your video has given me hope that with a few more wearings and a little patience, maybe the switch will flip and I can grow to love it, as well.
ohh yeah that's a bold blind buy! 😆 I would keep revisiting it every so often, it grew to become very creamy and addictive to me the more I reached for it. But it's not for everyone!
I have a sample of Gris Charnel and I feel like I am going to go on a journey with it when I sample it. It could be a hate or a love it depends on how it sits on my skin. I have been working through my samples and lucky scent sent me Chloe sevigny little flower and I stay the hell away from rose normally. I put that one on and was like hello rose but the longer it wore the more complex and pretty it got and then I was like wtf wait I like this now. That one I predict I will love using the sample and its so strong so a little goes a long way!
I've never liked Poets of Betlin or Bal D' afrique since first sniff. I'm not fond of that green bamboo note in POB. Perfumes that I disliked at first sniff and grew up on me were Tobacco Vanille, Baccarat Rouge, Ombrè Nomade.
it's funny because I think eau duelle is my favorite perfume of all time on myself and I'm so difficult with perfumes, everything gives me a headache and I'm a fan of easy clean scents in a way, like, I like shampoo-like perfume, I like nectarine blossom and honey, but I love vanilla and eau duelle does that, and every time I wear it I like it more, it's comforting, it's a hug to me, can't wear it when it's too hot cause I can't wear anything when it's too hot but even though I'm a basic bitch it was love at first sniff, I just had to make sure it wouldn't trigger my migraine
I don't understand why, but MFK BR540 (or any supposed dupe) gives me must NOT musk..very much onions on a burger. Yeah, crazy. I know. I've tried to give it a chance many times but I just can't. I don't get amber at all. Very sad for me. I want to experience what everyone else gets from the fragrance. 😥 However, Gris Charnel is me in a bottle :)
Iris Malikhan…… woof…. That was a no likey at first whiff. However, there was something that made me keep sniffing the paper. What IS that??? I kept sniffing for two days. Decided to try it on skin/clothes. It’s nuclear, so I did two sprays. Nope. Don’t like. But WHY do I keep sniffing??? 😩 Smelled it on my jacket (didn’t even spray the jacket) a couple days later and said “ok, I need this.” Since it’s so powerful, I grabbed a 30ml. I figure that will last me awhile. 😊
I would love to see you talk about scents you do not like and don’t get. I have wondered why people like Baccarat rouge perfume so much. I like it but too me it smells basic and rather cheap. I’m thinking I must be nose blind to something????? I’ve never found a perfume that smells freshly milled wood bc I would love it. I like white florals and I like Tom Ford Tuscan leather. I like Basil wood scents and I can’t stand gourmands. Anyone who can suggest scents that I should check out. I don’t like sweet scents
Oh I have loadsss of videos where I talk about scents I don't like 😝 I have an "unfiltered opinions" series, a video on scents I hate, as well as notes I hate with specific perfumes as an example, house review videos, and loads of perfume hauls where scents didn't work out for me 😅 I'm planning a sandalwood video so hopefully that will be helpful for you :)
When I first smelled it I picked up on a good amount of fig, which is why it wasn't for me initially. Interestingly, after about a year later, it's now very soft to me as well
It's fascinating how people can go from being "meh" or "ick" about a fragrance to loving it. I'm still waiting for that to happen to me! If I don't love or at least like it on the first test, I'll probably never love it.
Our first disagreement - Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco 21 is anything but youthful. OMG, I get a Sunday morning at the Baptist Church in the south vibe. Have no idea why I can't smell what others do but it's so mature, and bordering wrinkly, to me. My worst blind buy. I do have and enjoy Vanilla 28 and Lovefest
Not a popular opinion - I truly hate Bal D’Afrique. To me it smells like old women playing cards. There is cards that have been played for 10 years already, some dried and dusty flowers in the table. I get 0 freshness. I have tried multiple times. Also there is one mum in my toddlers school that always smells like this, can not stand it! 🙈🥲
Same! Ugh. It is the WORST and I could not even believe my nose when I first smelled it. Waited forever for my sample to come only to be confused to the high heavens. Nope, nope, nope. Gag. Lol
Please do a woodland fairy scents video because I love that profile so much too!
absolutely!
Would love woodland fairy pics……👍
Have you ever tried Ella K - Poème de Sagano?
I clutched my pearls so fast when you said you initially didn’t like Bal D’afrique. I was in a total state of confusion, but I’m glad you recognized the gem that it is.
😂😂 truly
I didn't get Gris Charnel at first too but now I absolutely love it! 🥰 I think I expected something sweeter. Whereas Eau Duelle and Bal d'Afrique were loves at first sniff! 🤩🤩 Great video, thanks!
That shade of blue is so flattering on you!

I’m the opposite on BDK rouge smoking. At first I was addicted to it, but now it is too candy sweet for me. My husband really likes it though!

I can understand Rouge Smoking being too sweet for some!

Bal D’afrique was my first niche love ❤️ I love it so so much.
I loooooove Anne’s videos! Every description!! I specially love when she provides a personal story 💙

Im glad I’m not the only one who is like this 😂 I have so many perfumes that I HATED when I sampled and now they’re my holy grails!
so funny how that happens!
Nassamatto Narcotic V was a rough one for me at first but I kept wanting to try it and now even thinking about it makes me smile. 💗
ah that's a lovely one ❤️

Iris Malikhan is a masterpiece! Was not exactly love at first sniff but did not take long for me to fall in love! But i do love iris!
Loved your list! I have had similar issues with quite a few of the fragrances you mentioned 😂
Oh I have been on the fence with Oud Jaune for so long as well!!!! But it is so tropical and lovely.
It is! Not something I'm always in the mood for, but when I am, I really enjoy it!!

I've had this happen before with Vanilla Royale. It went from a meh/like to a total love. So I understand how this happens! 💕
Yes, same here!!
Same. Just pulled out sample bottle last week and I thought this is delectable … girl how could through shade on all this goodness???

I’m glad you and Bal d’Afrique went to couples counseling and worked things out ;)
we're now better than ever 🤝🏼
After testing several Byredo, the most hyped really is the best upon testing on my skin after drydown.
Thank you!
Hi! Thank you! I can do that :)
I think our noses change over time!!! I too have frags that took time to grow on me 🥰 thanks for another great video girl!!!!
thank you for watching! xx
I don't know why, it's just hard for me to love Bal D'Afrique 🙈😆 Maybe this is a sign for a revisit...
This whole video made me laugh but when YT cuts to commercial as your describing Eau Duelle….your face. 😂😂😂Dead!!🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌
omggg stop 😂😂😂 I can't even imagine the amount of awful screenshots people could take 😅
This is so interesting because to me, the vanilla in Eau Duelle and Poets of Berlin both smell very sweet and gourmandy! Both so good. I’ve said this before, but I’m so glad you’re in the Gris Charnel club now 😂❤
me tooo 😆
Sometimes the "grow to love" scents turn out to be the best ones for us! Also, you're funny ☺ enjoying your videos!
Initial test note: “smells like medicine 👎🏻”
Year later: OMG this is so good I can’t stop smelling it on me AND my husband!
it's so funny how that happens sometimes!
Holy shit it truly is SUNSHINE in a bottle ❤❤❤❤ holy grail for life
I wish I could like this one on me! I get a really awful sunscreen note on my skin
This was Dirty Violet and Midnight Toker from Heretic for me. Luckily, I forgot I put them up instead of decluttering. Took a chance to sniff after a year (!) and I love them.
Anne, Love your channel. What is your opinion on Narsico Rodrigues perfumes? I have never heard you talking about them ever.
thank you! I've tried a lot but haven't found a love, I unfortunately feel underwhelmed by them
OMG same here with Byredo Bal d'afrique & Totally same as you with Gris !!!I I'm laughing so hard here!!!! Thanks for another great review!
thank you for watching! xx
Could you do a juniper vanilla scents video? ☺️ I loooooove eau duelle and gypsy water. If there are more, I need to hear about it 😁
Tocca Colette, Commodity Gold Expressive, and Les Soeurs de Noe Call Me Iris are more loves of mine but have a definite resemblance to Byredo G Water. I also highly recommend Ellis Brooklyn Apres :)
Iris Malikan is a beautiful fragrance. Super smooth and luxurious
I understand what you mean!
Reformulations are getting out of hand. These house are watering down perfumes while hiking prices!
😆 I would just get a decant and revisit it every once and a while then!
@@AnneLauren might have to do just that 😆
I love Poets of Berlin! ❤️
Get that 30 ml girl 😉😉 I can send you a sample of Gris Charnel! It may not be for you because I can smell the cardamom, but I think it's worth trying!
I think another 13 could be a keeper in my collection.
absolutely!
what is your favorite cherry scent?
Poets of Berlin is so so so similar to mark Jacobs decadence eau de parfum.. Wich was discontinued... So if u loved decadence you will love this one as well... 💕
You are adorable and absolutely hilarious but you have the best descriptions the stories - just brilliant
Oh girl I just tried lust in paradise - that was like bathroom fragrance then I tried guidance by Amouage and that was just lingering and lingering and made me sick …
I am waiting for ylang in gold sample
I had exactly the same experience with Gris Charnel. After regretfully blind buying a full bottle, I let it sit on the back shelf for nearly 6 months before I reached for it again. Then, like magic, it was perfection for me. Did my nose deceive me initially? Did the juice have time to macerate? Who knows. 🤷 Now its one of my all-time faves!
I always let them sit for a while after the road Idk but they always change, I believe they need a rest to fully perform and notes are more pronounced usually after a month in a dark place
@@anastasieD 💛
Memo Italian leather is an instant reminder for me of iris malikhan. Have you tried bpth? Xxx
I haven't!
I would love to see a video on Scents you grew to Hate 😅
Connor is here for the drama 😈 LOL! To be honest, I don't have any that I've previously loved or liked and then grew to hate, but definitely fallen out of love with!
@@AnneLauren HAHAH I do love drama! I get it, sometimes perfumes just loose their spark that they once had.
Ana, could you please tell me if your Gris Charnel smells like Sora Dora‘s Vanuatu??? Vanuatu smells DIVINE on my bf!!!
I personally don't think they smell similar!
Please do a review on House of Bo! I just got La Mar and omg.. it’s heavenly.
I love Philosykos edp 💔 but will try Eau Duelle again!
Would love to see the inverse of this video! Like, not just love to "meh"... but love to "why was I thinking?" Haha.
Really! I might have to look into that one, I've stayed away from it because of the rose as well
I would love some fragrances that smell spa-like. Like clean-cool girl meets luxury girl.
Okay now I have to revisit ylang in gold 😮
I would love to find a EDP fragrance that smells exactly like the white tea aloe line from the Westin hotels. It is so beautiful!
Try sampling Korres White Tea, or Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au The Blanc 😊
Fun video...Iris Malikhan❤❤
thank you!
I've never liked Poets of Betlin or Bal D' afrique since first sniff. I'm not fond of that green bamboo note in POB. Perfumes that I disliked at first sniff and grew up on me were Tobacco Vanille, Baccarat Rouge, Ombrè Nomade.
I gotta stop leaving comments before watching but I can't help. Whoop whoop!
Is your oud Juane the 50ml?
Yup!
Iris Malikhan, trully uni scent imho
yes!!
it's funny because I think eau duelle is my favorite perfume of all time on myself and I'm so difficult with perfumes, everything gives me a headache and I'm a fan of easy clean scents in a way, like, I like shampoo-like perfume, I like nectarine blossom and honey, but I love vanilla and eau duelle does that, and every time I wear it I like it more, it's comforting, it's a hug to me, can't wear it when it's too hot cause I can't wear anything when it's too hot but even though I'm a basic bitch it was love at first sniff, I just had to make sure it wouldn't trigger my migraine
Nishane Ani I grew to love. The ginger was too much at first. The magic is in the dry down.
Ani is fantastic!! I can understand how it isn't for everyone though
Poets Of Berlin, Bal D’Afrique are definite lives of mine,of course the BDK smells like a cherry root beer float to me!
did you always link your lip colors? i feel like you started doing it after i asked lol
I literally just started because of the recent comments about it! 😆❤️
a 30 ml is all you need!! I don't know how I'll go through the 100ml its so strong! 😆
Oh I have loadsss of videos where I talk about scents I don't like 😝 I have an "unfiltered opinions" series, a video on scents I hate, as well as notes I hate with specific perfumes as an example, house review videos, and loads of perfume hauls where scents didn't work out for me 😅
I'm planning a sandalwood video so hopefully that will be helpful for you :)
This happened tihota for me. I die for it now
But m. Micallef Ylang in gold is a dupe for chopards cashmere back from the 80’s . Vanilla fields lol. Btw You have great taste and love your videos.
Thank you! ❤️ I haven't tried Chopard Casmir, but I do love me some Ylang in Gold 😁
Gris Charnel is very soft fig. I dont like heavy fig too. If you didnt know fig was in there you would have better impression
When I first smelled it I picked up on a good amount of fig, which is why it wasn't for me initially. Interestingly, after about a year later, it's now very soft to me as well
A scent that I grew to love is starlight by xerjoff
oh that's a good one!
It's fascinating how people can go from being "meh" or "ick" about a fragrance to loving it. I'm still waiting for that to happen to me! If I don't love or at least like it on the first test, I'll probably never love it.
That happened to me with Prada candy kiss. It's like a more amped up perfumed dove bar. I was so meh and why did I blind buy this to WOW lol.
right??
Poets of berlin & Bal afrique are one of sexiest most unique scents.
Ha ha. Great comment. I'm from the South originally and Sunday Morning is a whole vibe!
@@amandainessex1784 If you know, you know!
I don’t like BDK Gris Charnel I guess I am the only one
nah everyone has different tastes!
This old lady playing cards got me 🤣! I love the perfume, but your comment is still great!
Same! Ugh. It is the WORST and I could not even believe my nose when I first smelled it. Waited forever for my sample to come only to be confused to the high heavens. Nope, nope, nope. Gag. Lol
