Great list theme - please do a part two! For me, I will always think of Dior Dune as one of the most artistic perfumes. I think it smells really nice as a beachy amber in the quintessential 90s style. But what's really impressive is how it pulled off such an unmistakably mournful mood olfactively. My mom, from wartime Vietnam, wore it a lot and I think it really expressed her bittersweet nostalgia for a home in the tropics she can never truly return to.

You introduced me to Sunshine Woman, and I'm both praising and cursing you for it because THE CHOKEHOLD THIS HAS ON BOTH ME BUT ALSO MY WALLET. This is the first fragrance I've ever worn that I am truly and completely obsessed with each and every moment - it smells so different depending on where in the drydown you are, and yet I am head over heels for each and every step of the journey. It's like nothing else I've ever smelled and it's the only thing I want to wear, AND it was a complete surprise, since I usually really don't like tobacco.
