Mine died too. So the best way to look at it is by considering it as an annual and collect their seeds and regrow the plant. During winter keep it near a bright location and water only when the soil dries

Hi, Depending on the variety, it can grow up to 3 feet tall. I prefer growing this in pots because it will remain compact and short. May be growing this in the ground could make it more taller comparatively

Yes, its roots are a delicacy in some South Asian culture. I would suggest that you keep this in a container and keep it compact.

Mine grows every year in Indiana. I just left it planted outside and this year it is 24" tall.but i didn't trim back in the spring. Hope this helps.
