Thank you so much 💕. I usually use a 2.5 but if I have 50+ candy apples I use 3.5. They are right here when you scroll down to candy apple pots. amazon.com/shop/diyqueendiva
I usually throw mine out...lol. If I was to reuse it, I would just leave it in that same pot. Since it's candy it doesn't need to be refrigerated or anything like that. One time I re-used mine to show how to re-heat candy and left it sitting out on the counter. You can't pour it in Tupperware because it will melt it.
I wasn’t getting the results I was looking for using 411 candy apple recipe. I couldn’t get many apples dipped and the candy had thickened too thick. To answer your question the difference is I’m able to get more apples dipped and my candy apples are not too thick. I hope this helps you.
So to get a nice thin good coat it's best to use the 431? would the dry syrup powder be the same 431 also? i live in way South Texas so it gets pretty humid here.
I wouldn't say too thin, it's pretty much perfect. It's so perfect that you can actually bite into the candy apple with no worries....lol. It's the best to use and if you need 12-24 candy apples for bigger batches use 6-4-1. Yes use the same amount of dry corn syrup. Yes, S. Texas is reallllllllll humid...lol. I hope this helps you.
