SOOOOO LET ME BACK MY GIRL BIANCA UP REAL QUICK....so by watching her videos my hair has:
    1. Grown tremendously by deep conditioning once a week and that was a great definitely a major key.
    2. I use to use silicone and sulfate conditioners and it made my detangling process awesome BUT it was still dry and brittle and not growing.
    3. My hair is definitely healthier because of Bianca because I use all her hacks every week and it has cut my wash day in half with healthier hair at the SAME TIME....YASSSSSSSS
    4. Last but not least my scalp is much cleaner and my shedding has decreased...WHOOP WHOOP‼️
Can I get an Amen for Bianca Renee Today?? Amen🙌🏽 thanks girl 😘

I’m from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷and 8 out of 10 females beat their hair every day with a flat iron (not even a blow drier😓). I had been letting my hair free for more than a 8 months but began my full transition on December and in those 3 months my hair has changed so much. I went full curly hair method no heat, no silicone, no parabens,... I deep condition 2 times a week. I do have previous heat damage but that isn’t stopping me.
I can’t even tell you how many persons have asked me what did I do. And when I tell them I’m taking this seriously buying products like Shea Moisture that are a little above average price they feel like I’m joking. I just wish everybody saw how satisfied I’m with the results every hair washing day and that for me it’s priceless. Loving yourself should be impossible because of money.
I love your videos. Every time that I want to buy something I come here to see if you did a video on it and if you didn’t...💔💔
Sorry for the long story I have never commented anything.

Careline Vega Soy de Puerto Rico tambien y desde q empece el curly girl method me han dicho que mi pelo se ve hermoso! Shea moisture is the bomb!!

Its so true. I would say that 99.9% of females straighten their hair in PR. Lol ok maybe I'm exaggerating. Throughout all my life my mom would tell me that my hair was ugly or that I had "pelo malo" just because its curly. I grew up not knowing my true curl pattern since my mom would blow dry and relax my hair ever since I was around 4. I never liked my hair because over time it became reeeaallyy thin due to the heat damage and I had to start using extentions. 5 yrs after I moved back to United States I started searching on youtube and realized that my hair may be more beautiful in its natural state than what I thought. I just had to make the change but boy was that difficult. Yo decia no puedo hacerlo porque y como me peino despues. No sabia q hacer con mi pelo que no fuera plancharlo. But after a few months my hair started to get thinner again and thats when I decided that enough was enough and stopped flat ironing my hair and my hair changed so much that even if I look better with straight hair I wouldn't go back. I feel "free" lol. I love my hair now and I wouldn't change it for nothing.

Sharing baseless opinion isn't fact, some UA-camrs try way too hard to be cute... she's been doing this too long for that cutesy stuff. She should know what she's actually talking about well enough to understand, so she can properly and scientifically give people researched information about the subject of a video, let people be actually informed. This pseudoscience explanation isn't in fact true, nor is it true for everyone. Plus, why is she screaming? Chill.

In my humble opinion and from my own expirience, there was a time where I was using sulfate, silicone, and paraban free products. Now out of those I only avoid parabens. For a long time I struggled with breakage and frequent split ends, I deep conditioned with protein and moisture treatments but had the same issues. Since I began treating my hair with Olaplex and I wanted a balayage I almost ended up with the full slab and was horrified but my hair stayed healthy. I thank that to Olaplex no 3,6,and 7. The point is Silicones might be bad for some people but not all people. Chemists and professionals like ManesbyMell have brought to attention that sulfates and silicones are not damaging, you just have to be diligent about clarifying!

Silicones aren't bad for your hair. I've asked my hairstylist and he said it is a great protectant for hair. As long as you use water-soluble. But at the end of the day, it depends on your specific hair needs. If your hair doesn't like sulfates/silicones don't use them but don't act like they are the devil for everyone else.

As a professional stylist and educator I 100% approve this message. It is like when companies or some youtubers market products that will grow your hair when in fact the ONLY thing that grows your hair is the blood circulation in your head. Hence, why said product would instruct you to massage your scalp with that product.

Akeyla DevaCurl is a good brand, but VERY expensive. Something I’ve used and is really good is called Pacifica Pineapple Curls. Those are good for waves and looser curls. But for tighter curl patterns, Cantu is great! Super moisturizing and there are no drying ingredients in them.

No more silicones, no more sulfates, did the big chop at a deva certified salon, (best move ever by the way, if you’re planning on getting your hair cut just bite the bullet and go to a deva stylist, he changed the game for me and my hair is the best it’s ever looked after a haircut) deep condition once a week sometimes with Shea moisture but mostly with deva curl! Use heat cap, use protein treatments and DAMN my hair looks amazing. Thank you thank you THANK YOU! From one curly girl to another thank you for helping me get my natural 3a hair back. LMAOOO the way she wanted to end the beginning. But honestly Bianca Renee really helped me a lot. My “curly” hair to me didn’t even make me feel like I had curls. I straightened my hair very single year (15 yrs) and it never helped because when I washed my hair and left it natural, I hated it and the next day I straightened it. Her videos convinced me to get a Devacut and it was the best decision of my life. (This was last year) I’d rather have short healthy hair then long damaged hair. Till this day I still learn from Bianca. Tips and tricks with products and so on (hey even makeup tips SHE DOES IT AL) it was stressful the first few months because my hair was finally able to breath after all those years of heat tools. If I were to be BLUNT, it’s still not easy to manage my hair here and there but watching these videos and seeing what my hair could be like if I just kept going.
I can keep going BUT the last thing I need to say is, Bianca Renee is a really good inspirational curly friend and I can’t wait to see my hair after all the damage and dryness disappears. ❤️🍍 #notificationfam

Silicones are coating our hair with this layer of "plastic" as u said, but they arent that diabolic xD They can protect your hair from mechanic, as well as from heat dmg. Of course if you are using too heavy silicones like trimethicone or simethicone - then u will easily get HUGE buildup and these one have to be cleaned with SLeS(or other sulfates with same power - MLS, SCS and so on). Amodimethicone and dimethicone can be cleaned with mild detergents used in gentle shampoos, so dunno why ppl are so negative. Also we have silicones like cyclomethicone and cyclopentasiloxane that are volatile, and they can also give a good amount of slip to conditioners. Overall dont search for the devil, where he's not present, lol + also ppl are talking "silicones silicones" but these arent all substances that coat out hair with extra layer. There are also quaterniums, polyquaterniums and most of them need to be cleanse with shampoos ;)

I have a shampoo that contains Cocamidopropyl betaine (it removes silicones) and ALSO contains dimethicone and dimethiconol (both are silicones) and I've never had an issue with buildup. I only use this shampoo once a month and I cowash with a silicone free conditioner weekly in between. Am I doing something wrong? Also, My shampoo and conditioner are the only 2 products I use that have silicones. My leave in and styling products are silicone free.

I stopped using all hair products with any kind of silicone and started using the Curlsmith brand you recommended. You are the reason I transition to curly hair 2 years ago. I watched a video of yours talking about why a lot of girls hate their hair because it is curly when It is not. Honestly, I cried after watching, I hated my curly hair all over my life . I have always wondered why God created curly hair if we need to straightener it every time.
After watching few more videos from other curly girls I could finally see that curly hair can be beautiful. So I made my decision, took a scissors and I cut the chemical straightener hair out of my head forever and left only short curly virgin hair for the first time since I was 11.
Although I still to this day struggle with my hair, but because of your I love my curls, you made see how beautiful it could be. I have change to all good products because of your review, I read the labels because of you, left out heat and I try deep condition every week.. You have Literary changed my life. And I am so satisfied with it.
I am also following your advice you once said. To tell any curly girl I ran into that her hair is beautiful, so I might make a difference in her life.

After using Vo5 moisture milks strawberries and cream shampoo & conditioner for many years without any problems (I heavily dilute due to sulfates), I wanted to experiment with something different after experiencing some breakage due to overuse of apple cider vinegar. I read that silicones can give lots of slip which can help with breakage. I decided to try Garnier Fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner with its sleek and shine serum, since they both contain silicones. What a mistake. I could barely get my wide tooth comb through my hair. After I was done combing, I saw even more breakage. My hair looks like it has a plastic shiny coating over it. It doesn't even look like a natural shine. Not only that, I even experienced more frizz with even more dryness. I am so glad you are telling people the truth. I don't know how many UA-camrs I have seen promoting the use of silicones without telling them the negative side effects. I wish I would have watched your video first. Now, I don't even know how to completely remove dimethicone and amodimethicone. Some girl who works in a lab wanted to know more about silicones and how long it takes to remove it. She said the silicones (non-soluble) still coated the hair shaft even after 4 sulfate shampoo washes.

I never see a video on cationic surfactants like BMS, centrimonium bromide, centrimonium chloride, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, etc. These are great for slip and are anti-static. Problem is they adhere tightly to the negative charges on the hair strand are much harder to remove than silicones. Some people can use these with no issue, but others can experience buildup. Same with polyquats. I see these types of ingredients in almost every CG friendly conditioner, leave in, mask, and even shampoo. Could you do a video on these?

the problem is that she learned two words "dimethicone" and "amodimethicone" and that they are silicones, and now she thinks she's a PhD in hair science. There's so much bs in this video I don't even know where to start. There are so many more things in conditioners that can be bad for your hair. I'd suggest reading science-y hair blog, there is a ton of great info on all types of things.

Thank you for this video! Not because I needed to know silicones are bad for you, that's pretty obvious just by the horrifying squeak in the hair when using them. But rather, because I honestly had no idea what EXACTLY silicones did, so having a bit more explanation really does help. I would love to see the scientific breakdown for non-scientific folk such as myself on how different harmful ingredients are actually harmful and what they do that makes them harmful. Not because I need to be convinced, but because I'm curious and because knowledge is powerful.
Also, thank you for all the videos you post. • @kathineumann8179

Just want to add on that not all silicones require sulfate to wash out. Amodimethicone can be washed out with milder surfactants like cocomidapropyl betaine. Cocomidapropyl betaine can actually wash out most non soluble silicones. Most people refuse to believe it but it's true. I follow a modified cg method so I still use silicones sometimes and clarify my hair regularly. I have 0 build up, and my hair is moisturized, bouncy, and healthy.
