    So when did this program come out, anyway? We never got this here, in Canada. I'm thinking late 80s / early 90s. No more than mid 90s for sure. It has all the gorgeous, backdrop, setting that I miss, so, so, much today. I can't understand how people can watch this and not notice all we've lost over the past couple decades, in particular.
    I'm floored by how much most of the "Who's Line Is It Anyway" cast have been together forever, it seems. Wow.

    • @Juarhala
      @Juarhala  11 місяців тому

      This show actually came out in 2003 on The WB, so it was while Whose Line was still airing! There are definitely some moments that have that dated sense of humor and wouldn't exactly fly nowadays, but I really enjoyed this show and think it had a lot of potential. I'm a huge fan of Jeff and Chip, and I love how they brought on a bunch of amazing guest stars; it's a shame they only got five episodes

    • @ivanj.conway9919
      @ivanj.conway9919 11 місяців тому

      @@Juarhala : That backdrop was SOOO, 80s / early 90s though, which I love passionately. I'm not really sure how old most these guys are, actually.
      I was disappointed in seeing the half naked woman prancing around. To me, that was so sexist and completely, unneeded. At least, have half naked guys prancing around as well, if you are going to do it at all. That part I hope would not fly today.

    • @Juarhala
      @Juarhala  11 місяців тому

      @@ivanj.conway9919 I don't know about this one but if you meant the Whose Line cast, most of them are between the ages of about 50-65. I know Jeff turns 50 in a month and Chip turns 58 in four days lol. And I totally agree with you there. The "hooker" episode was especially bad on that front and I've always disliked the over-sexualization aspects of the show

    • @ivanj.conway9919
      @ivanj.conway9919 11 місяців тому

      @@Juarhala : Yes, thank you, I was talking about the Who's Line cast. Wow, Chip and myself are the same age. I turned 58 nearly, four months ago. I came across this show because I was checking out old episodes of Who's Line then came across Drew's shows about this, and along with that, other things are popping up now, that the guys have acted in. They are all, insanely, talented and funny, I have to say.
      Man, I love this set though. Hard to believe this is how we ACTUALLY, DID, design the interior of our places throughout the 80s and 90s. I can't get any kids today, to understand where I'm coming from, but I miss the richness of this time, and the 60s and 70s as well, though I don't personally, remember the 60s myself; more than I can put into words. I ache for a return to this more than I can say. I hate this generation for what they are doing to the world, and everything they are stripping away from it, and everyone behind this senseless, tasteless, insanity today.
      Regarding the comment about the half naked women; well, it's more the sexist attitude behind this that bugs me. Common sense and simple fairness, should dictate that if you intend to exploit and sexualize woman like this, you might as well do it to men as well, or simply, not bother at all. And why women allow this to be done to themselves, has always, been utterly, beyond me. This insane, double standard has always, been one thing that has bugged me greatly, about my generation and the attitudes I grew up with throughout the 70s and 80s and well into the 90s as well, and I'm utterly, sickened that certain conservative groups are trying to bring this back again. My neck of the woods is rife with this sick, shit and it drives me absolutely, mental. Damn, I'm more of a feminist than most woman themselves, today. Makes me wonder why I bother at all.
      Warmest Wishes. My Best. Out For Now. 🙂🖐🏼

Good premise, idk about Chip hosting though, he's a very good host but in more of a traditional sense(like Americas Funniest Home videos or something), gives it a bit of an odd vibe. Very appropriate having Dweezil, he is all about improv and silliness(is that Joe Travers on the drums?)

      Juarhala The thing is this format really worked when it was used as a crossover device between TDCS and Whose Line. The cast is wonderful and it's obviously great to see Jeff and Chip, but without that connection, it all falls to pieces.

    • @Juarhala
      @Juarhala  7 років тому +1

      Yeah, I can understand that. I'm pretty biased because I sort of know Jeff and Chip, and I love watching anything they're in, but I think they could've done better with the show. I do love the idea of a half improvised show however, and I think there was potential, but a lot of the scripted parts were pretty cheesy for me. If I didn't have such a connection with the cast, I'm not sure that I would have enjoyed it as much

  • @IgnorancEnArrogance
    @IgnorancEnArrogance 3 роки тому +1

    Wow this is one of the more unique concepts for a tv show that I've seen. I can see why it didn't last long, but damn it had its moments. It felt like they were gently morphing Whose Line into SNL, and it just feels a little weird despite the great cast. The audience also goes hysterical with every line like it was your average primetime sitcom and that's always been annoying. I just wish they were given the chance to make it something better.
