***** That was the one that was wrapped around the shaft. The way the kid poked that potato there probably was a point or something sticking out, obviously they are pretty sharp. I'd have done the same thing. The kid really paid no attention to where the end of that was going, it'd be similar to someone sweeping me with a firearm, big no-no.
10:11 WOW !! i dont even want to imagine how this guy treats that kid off camera ,you cant tell the kid is very scared of the guy . i feel sorry for the kid if that guy is his dad.
Why feel sorry? I wish my dad took me out and taught me some survival skills. Every teen has an attitude. I do agree the guy is a douche though. That high and tight is so gay.
e-Legal Canadian There again, that entire scene was done in one take. When the spear waving started it was already near the end, so the boy had the potential to screw up what could have been (and became) a successful shoot. Of course he's going to take control to get it done - just like a father or adult should. Actually, I just watched it again, and am not seeing any of the things you all have read. I'm just gonna take it that many here were raised by guys who weren't masculine or something.
David Burke I think it was more about the look his son gave the camera when he grabbed the spear, that possibly implied something wasn't quite right. Its one thing to raise your son with a firm hand, but if they're scared of their dad for doing irrelevantly small things, then problems can occur.
All right "Mr. Survival Expert" let me teach you something... you don't HAVE to shoot watermelons to catch them! And ya sure don't need to stab potatoes with a trident!.. It is a waste of valuable weapons resources - you heard me right: they are SLOOOOOW - you can walk right up to them and just GRAB 'em!, even without camouflage - they are usually friendly (especially the potatoes), and they don't move very fast. Seriously though - another nice vid guys, THX.
Along with this, you should probably keep a bit of 1000 grit sandpaper to aid in sharpening those points. Especially the needles if you have to use them for suturing
at 10:13, the look of dread on that kids face shows what kind of person the dad is. even the reaction of the other son looked like he thought "oh crap, he's getting it later", or start smacking the kid around right then and there. i rather have my kids respect me, not fear me.
Clifford S Oh yes, Im willing to bet hes a (former) Ranger.. a Ranger with a Soul Patch on his head. Im sure he's climbed some mountains, but those Widows Peaks are the highest!
***** you must be a simple person...did I say he was a good or bad parent? No I did not. Hence, if I never see him on this channel again, I would be fine with it. +xXxBlackwaterXxX you are a special kind of ass. Whiney as hell? Whiney because I pointed out that this guy was obviously annoyed as hell with his kid putting a potato in his face? Chassealarc Great to hear from you. Our videos have garnered a lot of support and interest. We have been on the road a lot and have not done much with the channel lately. Will get back at it in the near future. Take care, Scott.
Looks like one of those things you drop a couple in a survival kit and they can prove worth several times their weight in gold if/when things go bad. Hmm, put one in a plastic cover and you could probably have it in a wallet or leg pocket without it causing too much wear and tear.
m guessing once you snap or break off the pieces from the card you can't put them back together, which kinda sucks..I love if this came in a thin case where I put the pieces back in.
Survival items are for survival situations. They aren't meant to be used and then stored ya know? Maybe get two one for play, practice and disposal and one for your wallet and to save your now experienced self when you need it
I don't see a reason not to store a particular part if your done using it. what about if you have a piece attached to a stick but you want to swap it out for another. that's where the case comes in handy, instead of putting back in your pocket and risk cutting, poking, or losing it.
Salty Diarrhea They actually use a non-magnetized steel so you don't accidentally screw up your credit card magnetic strips if you keep it in you wallet.
Actually, those laws were passed back in the 70's to protect the almost extinct wildlife the smog and garbage from the big cities like LA and San Francisco. Even after they got rid of the smog and much of the trash, the animals still have yet to come back and so most hunting weapons and equipment are illegal due to it being unsporting and an unfair advantage, as well as pre-dating said president by many decades. I'd know since my dad hates Obama as much as you yet he comes originally from California and knows the laws.
I'm a little late to the party, but it's important to note that the wave of gun control that has swept through California politics began with Reagan passing gun control in response to an open-carry demonstration, at the capital, by The Black Panthers, while he was governor. There are plenty of us on the left who own firearms, hunt, & train. It's more of a rural v. urban split, if you look at the data.
If you had to, you could stick the arrow heads or other tackle into a fire, get them to bright cherry red and then quench them in oil or water to harden. Wouldn't take much to make a little fire, since you probably need one to cook whatever game you get.
Nobody ever does… it’s maddening. It’s like , yeah, I think I can figure out how to make a spear out of a spear head and a stick… I wanna know how to use those snare things! Every card/card set has a bunch of them.
Thought the idea of this card was to be useful when you have nothing else available? I dont make a habit of carrying around fishing line, bow or a fletching station when I'm out unsurprisingly. Just seems like 95% of what is on there is a gimmick. Also if you wanted to carry fishinghooks and lines would it not make more sense to pre tie some, put them back in the packet and put that in your wallet as it takes up no more room than the card and provides you with something instant as opposed to fiddling around trying to get them out the card and not lose them in a possible freezing wet situation. The guy's reaction to the kid was also unwarranted.
Also if you sharpen them edges of the blade (broadhead and small game tip also)will slice thru alot easier. Its for ed in your wallet. Not a bug out bag however everyone has room in there's for the set and they weigh almost nothing.Built for one time emergency use but you can get alot of use out of it.
this was really helpful. I was kinda wondering how I would implement some of the items on the card. Not sure I can make those arrows but I think I could come up with something.
It is thin but strong and I have all the cards and they do actually work and work well especially for something that easily fits in any wallet and is light and thin and has many uses. This is one card out of a set and they work better than you would think. Its not bullet proof but definitely can be really handy especially the other cards like the lock pick cards ar tool kit card ect.I now carry them daily since they weight very little and take very little space.
if you just happened to have access in a survival situation to a manufactured bow, a bamboo forest to make shafts, and whole shed feathers for fletching... and spend multiple hours to put them all together, this card is quite handy... The spear tips seem slightly more practical, but the arrow heads...cmon man..

I used my RE card that I got in my man can! It came in real handy when I was lost in the bush of eastern Africa! I pulled it out of my wallet. And fashioned a spear. As I was stalking a Cape Buffalo. A Zulu tribesmen came up to me and said. 1 bird in the hand. Is worth more than 2 in his ole ladies bush. So lay down your weapon white boy. I will take you to my camp. There I will feed you some smoked Wilder beast. After I had my meal. He demanded I hand over the Survival card. That he was giving it to the King Poopalotless. As a offering! And at first light he will take me back to the trail of the right direction! So I give the card a 5 star rating! It saved me in a first hand survival situation!

To everybody saying that "that guy's an abusive douche" because you can "see it in your eyes", stop making claims you can't back up. I've re-watched that bit over and over, and I can tell you that that was normal assertion: the son was acting out of line by waving a sharp piece of metal near another person and waving the stick in front of him. I've looked at the boy's face I can tell you that if you were shown what's what for a PUBLIC VIDEO, you would be equally embarrassed. Honestly though, if you do not have any evidence that someone is doing something, saying that they are doesn't mean they are. If you're that easily swayed to think that that man would be abusive due to ONE scene, find something plausible first before pointing fingers.
Bought A Bunch Of These A Few Different Styles We Will Try Them Out In The Future And Let You Know What We Think Thank You For Making A Great Video Showing Us How You Use Them Nice Work
I understand that you have to advertise these to some point, given that they were included in a product you sold. But what do you really think of the Wilderness Survival Card, considering you said that the metal is a bit flimsy? I'm mostly interested in the fact that the arrow points don't seem too great, although the fishing hooks seem like they'd break pretty quickly too. The saw blades seem absolutely fine, but they're pretty much the only part of it that look okay to me, everything else seems like a waste of money, but I have no experience with this product yet since I've never used it so I can't say for certain. Considering the somewhat light durability of this product it seems like something that you'd quickly want to replace, what would you think about being in a survival situation where you were left with nothing but this survival card and a knife?
kop4321 Depends i suppose. I think we are both generalizing badly. Serial killers come with all different shapes and philosophies. Some serial killers are really quite amazing
It's one thing to have a reusable arrow after it passes through flesh, but it's more valuable when it survives a miss after it hits hard dirt, rocks, trees or logs. Doubting these would be useful, then. You could argue that one shot is better than none, but that's still not going to get you fed. At the velocities most could achieve with what would likely be an improvised bow, I'd tend to believe the sharpened wooden shaft of the arrow would be just as effective. They are interesting, though. Knowledge and improvisation would make them much more effective than the average person could utilise them for. MacGyver could make a nuke.
What was the material that he used to wrap the end of the arrow points into the arrow shafts. I seen the 550 cord on the end of the gigs but the arrow ends looked to be wrapped with something that looked like rubber bands but not.
Vapor Trails We used artificial sinew to attach the points and a strand of B-50 from a broken bow string to attach the fore shaft to the arrow. We are able to do this with plant fiber cordage and real deer sinew but time constraints demand compromise when shooting video.
I got one of these in the mail for free. They make a lockpick card too. I taught myself how to pick locks with them. I want to use the trident someday on a fish.
Actually the snare lock is the one thing on the card I don't know how to use. I thought those were for making fishing lures until I read the paper card that came with it.
I find it completely ridiculous that people are assuming this guy is abusive because of the way he responded to having a stick with SHARP metal on the end in front of his face. When did people become so soft? For all any of us know his son may have done something similar in the past and accidentally caused injury to someone. The ground looked muddy, probably a bit slippery too. What if he slipped backwards and hit his father in the face with the stick? Of course, I'm also making assumptions, but at least I'm not judging the character of any of them.
Hey Eric, can you do a video showcasing the new Team Never Quit ammo? It's a new line that has come out (or is coming out soon) that Marcus Luttrell made, and I believe most of the proceeds go to the Lone Survivor Foundation.
Mat Sim I'm pretty sure any normal human being would react like that if a sharp piece of metal near his face. Say, who the hell gave you the right to judge anyways? You have ZERO evidence towards your claims, so don't make 'em.
sharp piece of metal buried in a fucking potato. the guy very obviously grabs it like he is mad. stop trying to make everything into an argument. I can make whatever claim i want.
superpowerlax Likewise. I won't waste my name with name-calling, it just shows how much I lost without admitting it. P.S. - I never tried to start an argument here, _you're_ the one who made it such.
wmeoki Thank you for noticing. The NIV version on the back of the shirt says "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong". We work with father/son teams and "at risk" youth at our camp teaching them not only how to survive in the wilderness, but how to survive spiritually in the wilderness of life. A stern demeanor around weapons is not indicative of abuse in the home despite the outcry in these comments!
Lol when he's like "Get that god damn spear out of my shot, son"
***** Lmao you can tell the guys a fucking creep.
***** For just a moment, he showed his true character, i suppose.
Sabroe agreed, the rest of the video after has an uncomfortable feel to it.
Seems a normal reaction when someone is waving a stick about your face.

He just looks like he's nervous because he's camera and so doesn't want to look like a fool
@@midgetman4206 his haircut already makes him look like a fool
@10:13 ... Get that stick out my face, boy! :p
***** too many feels in the comments today
Salty Diarrhea I feels concern.
Lol he looks like a abusive person
rs1996a His reaction seems pretty normal to me, don't wave pointy/sharp stuff around other people, could've poked someone with it.
e-Legal Canadian There again, that entire scene was done in one take. People (or kids I'm assuming) whining about him grabbing the speer are a perfect example of why this country is screwed.

10:13
look at the kids eyes when he angrily grabs the stick
"Help! I'm trapped in the wilderness with only this little makeshift weapons card!"
(pulls out top quality recurve bow)
Making a bow from scratch sounds tedious, especially just for one video where making stuff isn't the main idea
lol guy got pissed when his son kept waving the spear in front of his face
So THIS is how vegetarians hunt their prey. Interesting.
😭🤣🤣yepppp best comment ever
I do wonder how many times these could be used. Pretty cool, though!!! Thanks for testing these out for us!

I think it was rigged
+C. Little they were definitely ranch potatoes, no way they got that close to wild ones
That boy will be getting a beating later! Bertha get ma belt!
That is the highest of the high and the tightest of the tights.
LMAO!!! Comment of the week at least!
Jack Bushong high and island
Jack Bushong best comment I've ever seen
Damn bro🤣 Being a barber, this had me in stitches🤣🤣
Along with this, you should probably keep a bit of 1000 grit sandpaper to aid in sharpening those points. Especially the needles if you have to use them for suturing
I think that high and tight is the highest and tightest that I've ever seen but as a combat vet I would still be too scared to tell him that. HAHAHA
at 10:13, the look of dread on that kids face shows what kind of person the dad is. even the reaction of the other son looked like he thought "oh crap, he's getting it later", or start smacking the kid around right then and there. i rather have my kids respect me, not fear me.
I can personally tell you that is what an abuser looks like...been through it too many times myself.
WTF is on dudes head?
He looks like he lost a bet back in Ranger Bn circa 1993
MrBrock19w looks like a dude that doesn't like banging a shaved head into stuff. I use to shave my head 24/7 and bumping into sticks up there-- hurts.
Duke Silver He has a RANGER vibe for sure.
Clifford S Oh yes, Im willing to bet hes a (former) Ranger.. a Ranger with a Soul Patch on his head. Im sure he's climbed some mountains, but those Widows Peaks are the highest!
Duke Silver Looks like a Proetida Trilobite from the Ordovician to the mid Silurian period ( about 460-430 million yrs ago ) to me :)
I will definitely be using these techniques next time I hunt for watermelon and potatoes!
Daemos Magen lol
Make sure you are very quiet and move slowly. River potatoes are very skittish and spring away quickly.
Tracking them is a pain too.
Nice haircut
😂
Douchebag bag is not a subjective term, and Scott you definitely are one. More survival videos Eric keep up the good vids.
What's a douchebag bag?
xXxBlackwaterXxX A double bagged douche?
10:13 fuck you doing boy get that stick out my godamn face!!!
no kidding damn near scared me...lol walk on home boy.
Thanks to you and your friends from Wac Outdoors and the RE Factor Wilderness survival Card, Happy Shooting 2015
lol @ 3:20 when he licks his lips after saying "acquire some protein with it."
That Scott guy gives me the creeps.
I've been waiting for a review on this thank you
10:11 .. You know he was thinking something like 'I'm on camera damn it! get that thing out of my shot!'
This is great i just got a set of cards thatvare similar there well made and i can tell allot is quite useful
10:13...... Ugh oh...boy is gonna get a beat down...Eric, I would be okay if you never had this guy on your channel again.

Two of my subs in the same video. Bonus! Haven't seen a WAC video in a while. A +

True
Sure you can, just purchase the optional magnet at your local magnet store.

So uh whens that AK meltdown video coming? Im really curious to see that one.
Maybe they can't meltdown o.O (jk)
Longrangehunter
Turns out that it's delayed just because it takes an AK a looooooooooong time to meltdown.
ColonelSandersLite Legend has it he's still shooting.
Really Great video Eric, thanks all!👍
I love that they used a $20 Morakiv(the knife getting hit with the hammer.
Don't want to see more of Scott. This was more than I needed to see if him.

Probably not legal in California
Thanks Obama
More like thanks legislators of the Democratic people's republic of kaliforniastan
420wrightdub You dont know what real left wing politics are. For eg european standards even the biggest parts of the Democrats are right wing.
+csknives1985 lol the governor of California can't do that alone either, but it is Obama fault. Fuck that guy. What a tool.

ascarta Dallas is working with the snare locks. We will give you a report in the near future.

That guy was on weird side
RE is TOTALLY underrated. Check them out, I've ordered from them for several items. You won't be disappointed.
Sweet design! All you need is some 20 lb monofilament. A lot of possibilities here.
wow ive seen those cards but didnt know they worked! I want one now!
***** after seeing this I can't wait to get my can... Still chomping at the bit for it.
Love the video, I also have an LT Wright for hunting and camping, the Scandi grind just like yours.

artificial sinew.
How the heck do you make the tweezers?? might need to pull out a splinter or two after making those arrows..
One handy piece
Where do we get them?
Starting to see them in more and more places check amazon Bruce Wayne Anderson

Bought A Bunch Of These A Few Different Styles We Will Try Them Out In The Future And Let You Know What We Think Thank You For Making A Great Video Showing Us How You Use Them Nice Work
Pretty healthy stand of poison ivy on that tree by the creek at the end, hope those boys didn't get much closer than they did on film.
Not sure about scot, something off about him.
Really comprehensive and a great video! thanks!
the logo of RE factor is the molecule trinitrotoluol a.k.a. TNT
That dudes definitely a serial killer
Bill Buck There's no reason he can't be both... one things for sure his son probably hates him.
Kasbian Vaulks I don't know, cereal killers tend to have so kind of intelligence and mental/phisical strength. This guy strikes me as weak.
Bill Buck
No, most of them are bottom barrel degenerates raised by shitty families who deal with it preying upon the weak.... and frosted flakes.
kop4321 Depends i suppose.
Someone ruined dad's face time on the youtube.
Someones getting a whopping later
You wouldn't want to count on that to cut down a tree or as your primary blade, but it sure seems useful.
Actually the snare lock is the one thing on the card I don't know how to use. I thought those were for making fishing lures until I read the paper card that came with it.
Nice hair island lol
"acquire some protein", excellent! the tester I was lookin for
Maybe add a lockpick in place of one of the spear tips. Or a simple razor-blade. Maybe a file.
I'd also like to see you showing the RE factor hostage escape card
very cool video. loved the change up.
Very good video and great ideas. Keep up all the good work!
Thats sum damn fine arrow crafting men.
4:44 he is flipping us of lol
"Christ son, don't hold the dang potata in front of my face!!" 10:11
I find it completely ridiculous that people are assuming this guy is abusive because of the way he responded to having a stick with SHARP metal on the end in front of his face. When did people become so soft?
For all any of us know his son may have done something similar in the past and accidentally caused injury to someone. The ground looked muddy, probably a bit slippery too. What if he slipped backwards and hit his father in the face with the stick? Of course, I'm also making assumptions, but at least I'm not judging the character of any of them.
Should make some more prepper type videos! Miss watching them
Awesome thing to carry with you that's so usefull.
Best Haircut Of 2015
Aww that dog is sweet.
I need some of these cards for my bag
@ 9:03 tree gets surprise head shot on Scott. Nature for the win?
I have a lot of respect for people that can build from nothing.
Hey Eric, can you do a video showcasing the new Team Never Quit ammo? It's a new line that has come out (or is coming out soon) that Marcus Luttrell made, and I believe most of the proceeds go to the Lone Survivor Foundation.
A lot of anger in that old man
Readyman had these and the hostage escape card for free (shipping was like $4) and I got this wilderness card and it's cool.
jesus did he beat the shit out of his son after that?....
I can make whatever claim i want.
superpowerlax
Then I claim you're stuck up as hell for the way your acting. See I can illogically claim stuff too!
Damn you got me! you are just an ignorant fuck trying to create arguments and very obviously not worth my time. have a nice life you ignorant fuck.
superpowerlax
Likewise. I won't waste my name with name-calling, it just shows how much I lost without admitting it.
P.S. - I never tried to start an argument here, _you're_ the one who made it such.
think ten plus of these maybe 20 would be good long term tool idea
where the hell did it say your going to get the bow
Awesome scripture he has on his shirt. 1 corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong
wmeoki Thank you for noticing.
