When looking for dry wood to start a fire, even if it's been raining, look at the bottom limbs of trees for small dead branches that are still attached. They are dry and pine branches have rosin in them that will make them burn even better. Great video!

Cheers guys, I run a games studio with a team of 10 and we're making a survival game that actually has survival in it, not like most of the current unrealistic games. We're looking forward for people who genuinely love and understand survival to guide us on the small things. Our level of realism is like, the player can really do anything, but everything has its consequences, just like in real life if you were to be faced with a survival situation, I mean he can build bed out of anything, add and remove layers, sand, dirt, leaves, anything, elevate or not elevate the bed with wood or other things, even sleep on the ground, but for instance sleeping on the ground surely won't do you good, he can really make whatever he wants, also for example if you're wounded, depends on the type of wound but you could close the wound dozens of different ways, some ways could lead to dangerous consequences, or let it heal on it own, obviously that depends on your health, and yes there's all the health variables, then there's desieses, infections, ways to treat yourself with plants etc, filter water, purify water, or drinking it right off the bat but that has its obvious health consequences, also depends on what kind of water you drink, even the food, geez i mean we already have a lot of things and I can't say them all here, but it's pretty much EVERYTHING you would expect a survival game to have, but none do. Think of it this way "Survival Simulator". What would a REAL person really need, feel and experience the need of/lack of when in a survival situation. Thing is, we surely are missing some stuff, we're still making a list of all these small and unique mechanics we need. > Does anyone here want any specific survival mechanic in it? I don't know about the southern hemisphere, but in the northern hemisphere, to know what way north/south is, wait until early sunrise, find where the sun is, that way would be east, and at sundown, that would be west, so for sunrise, put the sun on your right, the way you're facing is north, for sunset, the sun is on your left, that is north, and for both, behind you is south. There's probably shorter ways to say that, but it works.
Rajuan Dacio Well if you have a general sense of the time, you can tell where East/West is based on where the sun is. If it’s before noon the Sun is East, if it’s afternoon the sun is West.
Using a knife to whittle small branches will give you a nice pile of curly, thin strips of wood that are great to use for kindling. Thanks for this video; I loved it!
About the compass: North direction depends if you rub the niddle with the north pole of the magnet. If you rub the tip with the south pole, the tip will point to South!
@@survivortechharold6575 "The north pole of a magnet is defined as the pole that, when the magnet is freely suspended, points towards the Earth's North Magnetic Pole in the Arctic (the magnetic and geographic poles do not coincide - please see magnetic declination). Since opposite poles (north and south) attract, the North Magnetic Pole is actually the south pole of the Earth's magnetic field. As a practical matter, to tell which pole of a magnet is north and which is south, it is not necessary to use the Earth's magnetic field at all. For example, one method would be to compare it to an electromagnet, whose poles can be identified by the right-hand rule. The magnetic field lines of a magnet are considered by convention to emerge from the magnet's north pole and reenter at the south pole". Wikipedia source

There's something ironic and beautiful about using a circuit board for a primitive arrow head
IN some parts of the country the sun doesn't shine for weeks at a time
In a time sensitive situation, waiting around for the next sunrise might not be an option...
Rajuan Dacio Well if you have a general sense of the time, you can tell where East/West is based on where the sun is. If it’s before noon the Sun is East, if it’s afternoon the sun is West.
Legend has it that Alfi never noticed his camera battery died and is still out there showing survival tips to a dead camera
Brilliant. Simple. Essential.
I want him as my buddy whenever there's a camp
Those are nice tips and I shall remember then so if I need help I can fall back on what I have learned. Thanks for sharing these tips with us all.
Using a knife to whittle small branches will give you a nice pile of curly, thin strips of wood that are great to use for kindling. Thanks for this video; I loved it!
I really can't wait for the next video that's gonna come out next year
Thanks so much ! Great info. I like the concept of hi-tech arrow heads ; rather ironic 😸
How is it possible to have so much talent, Simply beautiful film making skills that perfectly display.
So happy to hear you again! easy life ❤
About the compass: North direction depends if you rub the niddle with the north pole of the magnet. If you rub the tip with the south pole, the tip will point to South!
which is the tip? nonsense. anything magnetized has a positive-negative not a north south
I liked the ending, from stoic to "PEACE!!!"
We drinking toxic plastic chemicals with this one🔥🔥
Loads of good ideas. Great to see a video from you.
Half of these i learned when i was in the military. The plastic water trick works actually and was very handy when we were not given water in over a week.
