I might go up in hook size or double strand to make one for my brother (who likes this hat style) and put in a magnetic snap in the front.

Thank you for sharing this pattern! I was asked to make 3 of these, but I used a thinner thread and had to readjust the number of stitches. A pattern for this kind of beret is hard to find, you usually get Italian and French berets easier... So thank you!!! 😘😘😘

Used an I hook so mine came out a lil smaller as I wanted it for a child. Got nervous at the end when there was no info on the brim but remembered you did the brim on your other tutorial so I was able to finish. Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely love how you have constructed this hat. It is far better than similar patterns out there. I have made this in different t sizes for adults. Everyone loves their caps!! Can you please do an updated pattern for babies? I want to do a matching set for daddy and son. I’ve tried going down hook sizes and yarn, but the measurements are still too big for little ones. Thanks.

Why didn't you demonstrate how to make the brim? The instructions for row 2 says BLO, but you don't indicate whether to do the whole brim that way. I would also like to see how you are working the sides of the brim using the hdc and sl sts. Do you have another video showing these instructions. If not can you make the instructions more clear?

This video is very hard to find. I saw a boy w/the hat in a video and asked him for the video and he gave me a bogus link. I accidentally stumped into it. I'm glad i found it cause my nephew is driving me nuts about a hat like this and yours is the only one that i like. It would be nice if you edit the name of the video and the changes you made.
