I use plastic safety pins as stitch marker's. Full box in school supplies, inexpensive and for me... Beneficial 👍🏾 or colored paper clips 📎❤

These hats come out way too big. I just frogged another hat after using a 4.5 hook on size 4 yarn. And now this is a size 6 hook.
