- Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883R Bobber Build on a Budget. What's up everyone. Thanks for tuning in as we take this 2002 XL883R that I bought for my wife like 3 years ago, that she ended up not riding. Not a problem! I'll take it from here. My plan is to build the coolest looking bike for as cheap as I can. This is the first of two videos I will do. The last video will have a parts list and full cost total. Thanks Cassius K! My daughter loves bikes, and this one isn't hers. She has another sporty waiting for her when she is ready to start riding. Got a few more years before she's there. Glad you enjoyed the video man!

Not feeling that rear fender.
They only made 303 883r's in 2002. I'm leaving mine stock.
I saved the tank and fenders for that reason. I love that paint! Keep it clean Glen!

I had them custom made from him. 12" Forward bent T Bars. 6 inches before they bend forward. Yes I'm still work on this motorcycle. It will be done this year....I hope

I ordered it from Lowbrow Customs its a 8inch bobtail rear fender for a shovelhead

I've had it for about 4 years, have built 5 bikes on it. It leaks a little, I just need to rebuild the pump. It will hold a Dyna or Softail.
I was going to ask the same thing! Don't suppose Harbor Freight ship to the UK do they? Have to look elsewhere.......

How long does it take to turn a regularly bike it a bobber I would like to do this when I get one
It all depends if you are building custom pieces, or having them built. Custom wheels can take as long as 3 months. If you are trying to do it and you have the time, and money to pay for parts you can do it quickly. I've put bikes together as fast as a weekend, and it's also taken 2 years before. You relocated tank took the front fender off handmade custom rear fender that's not a Factory Harley Davidson look at it what's custom to it the rear fender and how you manage the gas tank is still a skirt store and yes I have one I'm going to do Sunday style Chopper you call that a bobber keep learning

Why in the fuck would someone tear down one of the rarest and most desired Sportster and make it look like that when there are thousands of better Sportster platforms to work on for cheap. That bike would have been worth something someday....would have. The 883R is a special bike, and you could have picked up a 883 or 1200 of that year for like $2500 or so but instead you bamboozled that hahaha

@@blaisejmaf17 a custom 883r is cool for the person that owns it, but the average person that is looking for an 883r isn't looking for a hacked to death "custom" bike. It's his bike and he can do whatever he wants with it, but he didn't do the bike any justice. I would take the stock 883R anyway of the week.
@@blaisejmaf17 to each their own, but I'm willing to bet there are more Sportster bobbers/choppers out there than there are 883R. The 883R is fairly rare, and compared to other 883' it's worth more.
