Thank you broh.... I changed fuel pump, filter, and spark plugs since the car definitely need it after 128538 miles. Then car sutts off while in idle, then hard turn back on and no rpm gauge didn't work. Then crankshaft position sensor like you recommend solve the issue.... Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
My Kia Soul 2012, gave me issues starting then after a few attempts it starts. My mechanic said it needed a battery, the next day after I Just replaced the battery it did the same thing again. Took it back to my mechanic, he couldn't figure out the issue since the check engine light never comes on. He said the next time it gives you issues just have it tow to me. Anyway, it kept giving me issues starting then it would start, but last week after it started, when I drove off it wouldn't accelerate beyond 20 MPH. This video of yours gave me some clarity as to why this is happening. Thank you so much. Hopefully, this solution should take care of my issue.
Excellent video was able to get my Kia running again with the crankshaft positioning sensor. However, you need to go over disconnecting the electrical fitting took me longer to figure that out and replace the sensor. Thank you.
Just replaced the CPS in a friend’s 2014 Soul in a parking lot. Thanks for the assist! 🤜⚡️🤛 PS - once the bolt holding the sensor, and the bolt holding the bracket are removed, it’s easier to disconnect the sensor from above, then below. Especially if you can’t fit well under the car with no jack/stand
Hi Jesse. We have a 2016 Kia Soul that just started stalling and sputtering. We have replaced the Map sensor, the crank position sensor, and the throttle body. The throttle body fixed the problem. But it rained yesterday and now the problem is back. Can you suggest what could be wrong. We've taken it to two kia dealer shops and they can't figure it out. Please help!

So that must be happening to my car because it just started I will be driving my car stop at the stoplight. It would idle down real low and cut off. I put it in neutral start it up. It starts up put it in drive. I’ll drive it again but when I stop again the RPMs go down really low in the car shakes just a little bit and cut off, so if that’s the problem on my car, you definitely help me out a lot thx 🙏

I really hope this the answer for me bro went to mechanic and auto zone and scanners show nothing. Changed my battery, last night changed the spark plugs and coil boots and started really nice but then immediately shut off I tried again quickly putting it in drive and it drove but had a little bit of a jerk motion this morning drove fine but I know it's only a matter of time only other thing I had planned on doing was cleaning the gas injectors but don't see how that would make it turn off
What if I didn’t unplug negative battery cable and started it? Can I still do that and it will work? Because I didn’t see that part of the video and the same issue happened.

I have a 2014 Kia soul and I keep having my engine idle high when I shift gears. When I shift to 3, 4, 5 and 6 gear it takes time to build up speed. I had the spark plugs changed months ago, along with both O2 sensors (which I found out recently the upstream I brought was faulty it was replaced today) I even had the canister purge valve changed alone with the catalytic converter. I changed the gas cap as well. Even still I'm not getting the power needed when I shift gears. Do you have a clue of what I may actually be dealing with?

I have a 2014 Kia soul and it drove great for about a month and a half then it started having problems accelerating from 0-30 after that it rides normal. My rpm barely moves from 0-40mph. No issues cranking and I already had the battery and alternator tested. I’m going to try changing the spark plugs and if that doesn’t help I’m returning it back to the car lot I’m making my payments to.
There a big chance its your coil packs, but when you change those out you want to change the spark plugs as well. My girlfriends Kia soul had the same issue but replacing the packs and plugs, it's regained it's power.

Another symptom on mine is the rpm gadget drops to zero and stays and also the car with the squiggly lines behind it comes on the dash.the indicator light for traction control I guess? I don't know if this is a one off or not but my wife has the 2015 kia soul ex gdi
This is EXACTLY what mine has been doing for 2-3 months since the catalytic converter was replaced by my mechanic!! Would that repair cause or assist this issue? I've been pushing in clutch, turning key off, wait 2 seconds, turn back on, pop clutch in gear to jump start it. That's worked until the last week. Not only is this happening multiple times per day, I've had trouble starting it. I'll drive 10 min - an hour, turn it off & when leaving, won't start. I'll also use a charged jump starter which has helped on occasions where it won't start. 2 days ago nothing worked and I had it towed to mechanic. Wish I saw this video first! LOL I'll call him to advise to check this part out
@@XJJesse Never saw your question until now. Right at 0:58 across your eyes or right elbow. I don't think where you put the floor jack is strong enough and not good for the jack. My is a Kia soul 2012. or you lift the front of the car putting the floor jack by the front of the car all the way to the center, or you just go by the same side you did but pushing the floor jack all the way to the lower control arm bushing where is metal and lift that left side and put the jack behind the tire where is supposed to be. Each way is hard because the stupid Kia Eliminated the front subframe support where before was a motor mount.
That didn't work on me it shuts off while turning only either left or right mostly when is reduced speed has new spark plugs ,wires ,oil filter ,cabin filter , air filter and definitely the crank shaft sensor
idle air control valve or auxillary air valve as kia calls it can cause issues keeping engine going at low rpm. in theory the car computer could try to compensate, but only if a little bit bad
Someone want to crawl underneath my Kia Soul and change this for me? I just can't do that anymore. 🤪 I mean it looks simple but you get older and its hard to tie your shoes.

I have the same problems but changing the CPS only partially fixed it. 2013 veloster 1.6, revs to 2k rpm and stalls if you try to drive faster. Sometimes stops communicating with trans or clutch but revs normal when it does this. Any help appreciated!

You saved me. After installing a new battery It would still stall when driving, and I would coast off the road, then it wouldn't start.
Would this crank position sensor also cause hesitation while accelerating? I have all three symptoms...hard to start, engine stall and hesitation???

You don't know any guy around who can install it, cause it's very easy.
Takes no more than 15mins. I Was able to take off without using a jack. All I payed for was the part from my local auto store.

the frame is metal and runs down the length of vehicle on both sides. you can use this to lift and put jack under control arm.@@irisbaez1972
