Not everyone can afford a Chateau, a lot can afford a farmhouse but very few can do the work that the two of you are accomplishing. You are the "Dream Team". Congratulations!
Tracey, you are awesome. There are many women who would not even think of doing what you do. You and Budo really work as a team. No wonder you both accomplish so much xx
Tracy the Pointing Queen and Budo Master Building Wizard. I love your videos, you are the most amazing couple. You have no idea how happy I am that you are back!
Budo, Tracy, your farmhouse will look absolutely fabulous after all your hard work and Tracy’s pointing. She is so patient and methodical. A joy to watch. It’s nice to see folks do the jobs properly instead of slap-dash/just for appearances. Your work will stand the test of time. Happy to see you guys back on youtube and can’t wait to follow your progress. Cheers from 🇨🇦
Hi Rita we love your appreciation of what we have achieved in the renovation of our French farmhouse and we are looking forward to sharing this with you all 🤗xx
Thank you robrichards6219 l love pointing l find it very therapeutic and it is a big job but l am always up for a challenge and l have a lot of patience 🥰xx
It’s all just looking better and better! Are the hard work the two of you are doing is really shining through and just is really amazing how far it’s all come❤
Budo you are amazing too. You need it you just build it! Such talent! And you enjoy it too! Wonderful. Tracy I am in awe of your work, anything you do. Do either of you ever just sit and relax and watch the TV or something? Love watching ❤
It is so lovely watching you do the preservation with such expert care. Everything you both do looks so good. Such a treat having your expert knowledge demonstrated for future reference for those who want to learn. Take care and thank you
Yes l have been taught the right way to do pointing Denise and the end finish looks so different than just slapping it on the wall. Bon weekend to you 🤗 xx
You have made so much progress, with the house and the grounds. I really enjoy watching as much for that as the teamwork and how proud you are of each other.
Hi Vivan the centre board you are referring to I think you mean the ridge board that is a standard size in the UK and Europe the stringers for us are the side of a stair case so I think you mean the rafters there all in place but thank you for your great comment all the best Budo xx 😀
Tracy, you are taking the farmhouse from being tired and worn to being a mini castle fit for a queen and king! Love your new pointing queen status and Budo king of wood shop! Thanks for teaching us your skills!
For sure Tracy is the pointing Queen, but she is the Queen of the French Farmhouse as well. There is noting she can't do as I see it. Love the videos !! Happy Weekend to you both. I hope the weather will be more pleasant as well.
I’m so amazed at the difference your pointing makes Tracy, you really are the pointing queen. Oh my goodness you are strong and patient. I’m wondering how thick the walls are, just curious. I love stone buildings. How are you doing with your drainage, especially with all the rain!? I’m excited for you two to start the kitchen framing, I can feel your enthusiasm in the vlogs. Budo your roof ladder makes so much sense. I wish I would have had one of those years ago when I helped my dad roof our home. I don’t know how I didn’t fall. He told me “you’ll get your roof legs” and he was right, being on flat ground felt weird after being up on a pitch all day. I’m loving the vlogs.👍👍
It looks lovely now l am pointing the bottom half of the wall which you will see an update very soon Melina 🤗 they are 2 feet thick and we love storehouses as well . All is good l will be doing an update soon on the potager as everything is slowing down forvthe season but my winter veggies are doing well 🤗 we know this saying and another regarding the sea as well I.e. Sea legs. Bon weekend to you 🤗 xx
Well done Tracy. You take care I heard a cough. Budo I enjoy all you share and appreciate the knowledge I have from your tutorials. Sending love. Ken from Indiana 🇺🇸
Tracey you need a separate laundry room or boot room with a good size laundry sink .Especially when you come in from the garden .Love your work both of you are so hard working and so good at what you do .😊
Thank you Leonie glad you do and thank you for the suggestion. We will have a laugndry /store room in the room next to the temporary Workshop and the porch is were we will enter the house as a boot room as well 😀 xx
Budo, maybe six or seven euros is the wood price, but you & Tracy are worth a hundred euros per hour. So, add that up, comes to about even. : ) Really tho, nice work guys, really coming along Thanks for sharing, sincerely San Diego California
Omg Tracy it does look amazing Your lessons on how to do things properly are such an amazing teaching tool like no where else. The things we have learnt. Thank you for such a wonderful vlog. Ps how much did you pay for the tiles in the end? I didn't hear the answer in the vlog. cheers for now and have a great week.😊❤
Thank you so much Kim glad you enjoyed the video also we forgot to let every one know the tile price we paid for just under 8000 tiles because we had pre made the videos but we ended up getting them for 1600 euros around 1400 pounds have a lovely weekend 🥰😘
Nice one mate. I made one of those ladders at the house in Normandy when the ladder that I had wasn't long enough to reach the chimney. The place is really coming on and I can see the vision of it. I'm really looking forward to watching the construction of the kitchen cabinets etc. 👍🏼
Your home is made beautiful from your pointing talent Tracy ❤ You have made me a Pointing Snob. I have stopped watching a UA-cam show or two because of their ineptitude in pointing.
Well done Tracy... I have one of those aluminium angled pointing hawks. I thought it was a bit gimmicky when I bought it '87 or '88 but it has travelled with me all over and has paid for itself so many times. Had a whole load of "slashers" in my bucket but some ********* stuck his hand in and 'alf inched 'em. Building sites eh? Bob (Weston super Mare)
They make the pointing job so much quicker as it holds the muck well so you can push the mortar easily 🤗 and yes Budo has lots of pointing tools which he has given me my own little kit 😉 umm this happens a lot 🤔 xx
Hi Jackie the lintel is chestnut possible oak its been there for at least 100 years if you tried to saw it it would be like cutting steel the shakes in the lintel would have happened when it was installed we Tracy has wood worm treated it and then put on me mix of linseed oil i make up for this specific job hope this helps answer you question all the best Budo 🥰🥰
The roof ladder is simple but brilliant, never seen one before!!! Nice pointing Tracy!!
Yes it is Aunty tutu and think you glad you think so 🥰xx
Not everyone can afford a Chateau, a lot can afford a farmhouse but very few can do the work that the two of you are accomplishing. You are the "Dream Team". Congratulations!

Hello 🥰😘
I had a senior moment when I posted this. It was meant for the " live" 🙄🙄
Omg Tracy it does look amazing
Your lessons on how to do things properly are such an amazing teaching tool like no where else. The things we have learnt. Thank you for such a wonderful vlog. Ps how much did you pay for the tiles in the end? I didn't hear the answer in the vlog. cheers for now and have a great week.😊❤

Your home is made beautiful from your pointing talent Tracy ❤ You have made me a Pointing Snob. I have stopped watching a UA-cam show or two because of their ineptitude in pointing.
You are so lovely Susan thank you there us a right way and a wrong way of doing pointing and thankfully l am doing it the right way 😀 xx
Well done Tracy... I have one of those aluminium angled pointing hawks. I thought it was a bit gimmicky when I bought it '87 or '88 but it has travelled with me all over and has paid for itself so many times. Just one question for Tracy. Is there a reason why you didn’t have a picture window on the wall that looks over your veggie plot.?
All will be explained in an up and coming video Pam 🤗xx
I hope you didn’t mind me asking.
Hi pointing looks great, what mix do you use?
Hi Paul thank you 😊 it's 1 part lime putty and 3 parts selected sharp sand Hooe this helps 😀
After watching your professional work, it makes me crazy to watch so many other UA-camr’s “doing it wrong” 😑
Ah thank you 😊 l have been shown the correct way Cathleen but a few of you tubers have not got a clue 😉 xx
The lintel on the window how do you treat them. Do they have to be oiled. I see it has cosmetic splits but I know you built that window awhile ago
