That is how they find the bombs around here. The last ones were found when they were reworking the water lines under a road that I use to travel twice a day... how exciting to find one and see how they dispose of it!>
BOMBS AWAY! well, that was interesting and historical. As history tells, there had been war going on in your part of Normandy, France, and now you have proof. I'll bet that the bomb will be in a museum one day soon. You'll have to be careful digging around in the future. Be Safe!! Great bargain on the tiles and the stonework pointing is looking brilliant.
Bonjour Tracy and Budo, what a great find on those tiles. Tracy your pointing is looking lovely, I am very happy the bomb didn't go off and it was cleared away. There is probably more around there, so you and Lional be very careful. Thanks for sharing today. Love from N.Y.
Yes joni we were so lucky, it's looking good now thank you as you will see in Fridays video . Yes do are we and they will thank you for your concern 🤗xx
Can’t wait to see this episode! I am a history fanatic and have always wondered if there had been fighting in the areas of all the chateaus on the web. All the houses and shoppes in the villages all look so beautiful and I’ve wondered if many were rebuilt after the WWII. ❤
They still find Civil War bombs around here and there is a "tale" of an bomber unloading the bombs off the coast where I live and so we have the local "Tybee Island Bomb Squad" that is like a running joke but they still go out and try to find the bombs. can't wait to see what is up with the one you found!
Fascinated by the bomb! Anyone still living around there who were in WWII? Wonder if this area was damaged much? We Americans have been fortunate enough to not had foreign wars on our soil. Hope my interest isn’t irreverent 😐. I’ll guess $3500 for the slate tiles. 😊😊❤
The tiles are very special.so pleased that you got them very exciting. If someone wanted the yard cleared I would guess you may have got them for a third if you were supremely lucky. Good grief how lucky to have only caught it with the digger.
My guess is €600 for the lot or a hundred quid a pallet. I have a 105 howitzer shell case that was made into a trophy from my service days. It's solid brass and has been engraved.its great for putting the umbrella in. Glad that everyone is save cheers from Melbourne Kim St Clair Melbourne 😂❤
OMG you really picked the right day to move the tiles with all that rain but I am guessing dry days have been few and far between and more important things to do when you get the dry weather, at least you dont need to water the plants.. hopefully you can dig out a pond on the higher ground at some point so you can use it to irrigate the land.. the tiles look great.. I am going to give a cheeky guess of €3500... Never a dull moment finding a bomb.. whatever next.. lol glad you are all ok.. guess it has been removed safely by now.. Tracy is doing a great job with the pointing really coming along well.. have a good week.. all the best Robb Torremoliinos Spain
It has not stopped raining for 3 weeks Robb it is relentless but work carries on and that is a good idea. We are at present using water tubes to catch the rain fall but next year we will set up the lbs which will help immensely. Thank you l am half way down the wall and it looks lovely 😍 have a good week as well xx
A couple of things. Are you replacing the roof above where Tracy is repointing right now? I thought there was a certain temperature that you couldn’t lime mortar below. It looks cold there. Love your vlogs and glad to know that you didn’t get blown up!
Hi rosannehart not at the moment as it is a big job. And it is still mild here so l can continue pointing. By the time the cold weather arrives and also never point when you have frosty days. The pointing l have down already is hard and also l will have the kitchen wall pointed as l am half way down under the level of the roof frame that Budo has built which you will see in up and coming videos thank you for watching xx
€900 For the tiles. 🤷♀️ Was the bomb active? One of the other Utubers I watch found an active bomb in their attic. 😮. Tiles are a find in your favour.

Have to love the relaxed attitude of the Gendarmerie if that was the Uk there would have have been a 500 yard exclusion zone.
Yes your right Dave so over the top are the police in the UK for the wrong things lol

Re the bomb. It's too small to be an aerial bomb, but it's the right shape to be the tail end of a 120mm mortar.
Yes good guess we think it's an artillery round midnight visions 🤗
The tiles are very special.so pleased that you got them very exciting. If someone wanted the yard cleared I would guess you may have got them for a third if you were supremely lucky. Good grief how lucky to have only caught it with the digger.
