If you know, how can you tell if a Wayne Gretzky RC #18 is a reprint RP or real deal. I’ve been hearing that some of the reprint cards don’t always have the reprint stamp on the back. Thanks My favorite video so far.
I'm not sure. I know the reprints looks identical to the real one. That's why I always buy graded cards when it comes to vintage because it's difficult to tell in the photo if its real or not. Especially the 1986 Fleer Jordan Rookie. Buying raw is a gamble. Even if the seller is a reputable seller, he could overlook something and not know its a reprint or a fake. It's just a tough call.

It's how many cards have been found in that condition, so a PSA 10 pop 1 means only 1 card has been graded PSA 10. The lower the population number is the more valuable the card tends to be due to scarcity.
I have a huge collection of hockey cards I’m currently sorting through, mostly cards from the early 90’s so far.... I was just wondering is o pee chee the go to brand? Or do any other card companies get the spotlight?
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR You are a regular Kat Williams with your humorousness! That's why I said list because I thought the same thing when I made the comment
Interesting to see that a popular player like Stevie Y has over 100 Gem Mints on census. Makes sense its kinda affordable. Like I love Paul Coffey (Edmonton boy born and raised myself) but only those sparse #s for perfect 10 justify its value imo. Supply and demand.
Some of these pops are misleading IMO. With a few of them I don't think they're being submitted as much as others which is leaving the pop report skewed to some extent.. I mean none of them are particularly "rare" - they're just really desired cards - so there are plenty of them out there... Also let me point out that a lot of 80's cards have centering problems which may deter some collectors from submitting them, however I have noticed some of these PSA 10's are indeed off-centered - not terribly - 60/40 er 55/45 but it's somewhat noticeable. But I think many collectors would be apprehensive about submitting cards with flaws that apparently PSA is clearly overlooking and that is certainly a reason why the pop's are so low... Also, you have to remember that there is usually a profound margin in value between a PSA 9 and PSA 10 - the gap is so wide that depending on the card it's essentially a $20 dollar lotto ticket because a 9 depending on the card may cover the grading fee, however when it comes to a 10 they've hit the jackpot.. So that's always something to consider. I mean I have thousands of cards I would like to have graded, but when you factor in the grading fee and the difference between a 9 and 10 is it really worth it? especially since I have "bigger fish" in high grade?... So yea, I suppose my point is that when you look at the pop reports on face value these PSA 10's appear to be "rare" however the truth is that when it comes to a lot of cards it's just not worth it to have graded at the moment, and I think collectors like a sure thing instead of a gamble so they're sending cards in they know will get a high grade before they will submit a card that's a gamble. So with a lot of these cards it's not that PSA 10's are any rarer than most cards of that era but that the submission rate in general is low... Obviously the Lemieux, Roy and Yzerman rookies are exceptions here but I'm sure they're some of the most submitted hockey cards from the 80's. But on the flip side of the coin, if you have a Roy Rookie in EX that looks really nice I don't think a collector that sees it as a PSA 7 is going to have it submitted only to come back a 6.5 or 6 because again the margins in value are just way too steep between a 6.5 and a 7.5 or 8, so the card is probably worth more raw than it would be graded and every card has that issue .
"Which cards should be on this list?" Surprised not to see Joe Sakic (9th all time points) Mark Recchi (12th) Adam Oates (18th) Luc Robitaille (22nd, highest scoring LW until Ovie catches him)... I loves me some Wendel Clark and all, but lol Leafs fans throwing cash away.
