At the Moranos' Staten Island home, Sean learns how to toss dough and slice mutz before getting his hands on the family's age-old marinara recipe. First We Feast videos offer an iconoclastic view into the culinary world, taking you behind-the-scenes with some of the country's best chefs and finding the unexpected places where food and pop culture intersect. - Навчання та стиль
The fact that they used the sauce made by Dominic's mom made this video even more legit!
Seriously SAwesome!
Sauce Stache I wish they had listed the ingredients or brands so we can get the same taste. Like, what wine, what brand tomatoes in the can, the brand of olive oil. I'm a fairly new cook so don't recognize any of it :(
Sauce Stache Whoa!!! Just looked at your channel and the day before we grocery shop! Yay!
Julie Kent It's probably 2tbsp oil, 4 - 10 cloves crushed garlic, pepper flake to taste, 1 can 24 oz crushed tomatoes, generous salt, pepper, red wine, and simmer with basil leaves on top.
Same! I noticed earlier today that it's not Cento or any Italian company of San Marzano grown tomatoes in a tin can.... I think it is Pastene, which seems to both import Italian and grown tomatoes in CA.
www.pastene.com/san_marzano.html
Any size pizza, is a personal size pizza...... as long as you have self belief!!
Paul Jones ha! kinda like how "anywhere is walking distance if you have the time"
Or how no matter what temperature the room is, it's always room temperature.
AYYY OHHH
Great!
Veronika Fedikova they were talking about pizza not pie
That guy seems like he'd be an amazing manager, really encouraging and helpful!
I agree!! Well he is the owner so owners give their best! Mike
not gonna lie, his mom would make an interesting guest on Hot Ones.
"Joining today on First We Feast is a Hot One."
Pawblem She's Hot One already.
Thought you was going for a SoFlo Antonio reference lol.
yerah
Yeah especially with all the celebrity clientele they get. I'm sure she has some stories.
Maybe it's just be, Sean looks so awkward in just a t-shirt 😂
Rebekah Marie yeah now that I think about it he does lol
It doesnt help that its probably a size too big
omg yasss
+strawscup yep
the shirt is big and not fitted
I love Dominic's mom! She seems like a cool person :D
ramsy51 You seem like a cool person !
I agree! She is very nice and she is sweet and amiable!! Mike
Looks like Sean baked himself before this. Yet he is still an ace host! Best host on UA-cam!
Nothing beats a krusty krab pizza
It's the best pizza, for you and me.
Mouz Wheres my drink!!!!!!
Pizza 🅱roke

Mouz is the pizza for u n meee
Dom seems like a really down to earth, encouraging dude.
this guy is such a legend, his attitude and friendliness seems to go beyond obviously the fact hes on camera in an interview sorta thing. he just seemed like a legit teacher.
7:33 "you can never have to much sause" I live by this quote
SAUCE BOSS
Just make sure, you don't get lost in the sauce
Don't get lost in the sauce
As someone from the bay area, CA. This is exactly how we think NYers look and sound. Nice pizza tho
I lived in NYC for 10 years coming from SF after 10 years. Now I live in Japan. My point is that not everyone sounds the same.
Apples and Ouranges
Christopher Delgado lmao so true 😂😂💯💯
Christopher Delgado New Yorker here. I wish I sounded like these guys
Christopher Delgado I too was born and raised in the Bay Area. I think of people from Long Island or perhaps the burrows sounding like that...but not NYC. I have Italian cousins out there and they do slightly sound like them. But they actually say mozzarellAAAA.
When i saw the thumbnail for this video, i thought it was two dudes who were stuck together and instantly assumed this channel would be dedicated to how they cope with everyday situations, like making pizza
hahahahahaha
Those commandments are a blessing! Thank god someone knows how to enjoy pizza!
I love his Mam and I love how encouraging he was to Sean while cooking. That says a lot.
Dominic is SO nice and pleasant, not to mention a great, thorough teacher! This was so enjoyable! ♥
she reminds me of an older version of Margot Robbies character in Wolf of Wall street
"Want my mother to come over here and give you a slap?" 😁😀
These two are so nice! Love how he was so chilled about premade dough and not pretentious about any of it, clearly has a good relationship with mom, who was hilarious and seemed so loving and fun! I'd keep in touch with these 2 if i was you Sean!
I love meeting peoples Mom's you learn so much more about them
Is it boneless?
Nah 🅱️, 🅱️oneless machine 🅱️roke
Donald J. Trump Understandable, have a great day.
oof ouch owie
pizza dont got bone in it
Understandable, have a great day.
Sick twin-look!
He's a great teacher😊
One of the best Sean in the wild videos ever, thanks!! Looks so awesome
Dom needs his own pizza show. I love this guy!
Mom- "this is amazing"
Shaun- "your just saying that"
Mom- "no cause if it wasn't I wouldn't eat it"
Best mom ever XD
Why am I so addicted to everything Sean does???!!!!
I love Dominic's NY Italian accent, perfect crisp to my ears.
CAMMANNNN!! no fold, son! display that slice.
"It could be floppy"
"nononono"
i love that even though he makes a loving from selling pizza he still encourages people to make pizza at home. it shows he really cares about pizza and his customers not just money
Pizza dough is a magical thing...so frail yet so shape able, working the pizza kitchen and learning dough is like being an artist.
This is exactly what I needed, now I can stop buying crappy frozen pizzas and try my hand at making some delicious pie.
Best choice you'll ever make! lol I started about 3 months ago and not only is the taste so much better, but you'll also save so much money. Be warned, It's addicting though lol
Salt is a strange ingredient. Too much and it tastes "salty". The right amount and it brings out the flavor of whatever you're cooking. Not enough and the meal is oddly bland.
Yeah. To master salt is to master cooking entirely. Do I put it in before adding the pasta to the boiling water? Do I boil water with salt already in it? Do I add the salt after the pasta i done? This is just 1 example
the pasta-salt conundrum is one I've yet to master. Add in the water and it doesn't come out with enough, add after and it seems to be too much.
Salt is a fickle mistress.
I love his mom! Adorable!
I always come here to this side of UA-cam when im sick and it makes me even more hungry
Now I am fucking starving
I AIN'T FOLDING SHIIIT!!!
By far one of the best food related channels on UA-cam.
This video makes me so happy
Who the fuck would want to have ketchup or mayo on/with their pizza?!
Albin Lundholm my aunt carries some ketchup on her purse when she goes out for pizza.
condiments for the crust
Albin Lundholm I put ranch dressing on our pizza
Pull up then what's wrong with you eww if it's a good enough pizza you eat all of it
When I buy frozen pizza's I often eat it with some ketchup on the side. It's good
You just revealed the family recipe
This looks incredible. Such a simple yet amazing dish. Pizza is a food of the gods.
Italians have hands of gold god bless them all
6:36 this lady obeys the #1 rule of cooking: never cook with wine you wouldn't drink.
Mom's a smoke show
This is why so many italian americans get heat, women are pure fire
This was awesome! Actually gave me the confidence to try this myself. Shout out to Momma Morano for the Marinara sauce too.
Seriously great video. Dom is such a nice guy! Really enjoyed the fact that his mom is included. This one got me subscribing.
I am a hawk with ma sawce
ok...im just gunna say it
we all know they stretched out the dough for you sean 😂 but i feel ya tho, that shit hard af
Wow thanks for the sauce recipe. That looks amazing. Definitely going to try to make that.
What a lovely family.
You forgot about....
Commandment #5: NO PINEAPPLE ON THE PIZZA
*R A W S A U C E*
Fantastic! Great job Sean!!
I love family making sauce! its the best!
Don't you just love the droves of supposed experts that magically appear in the comments, or in this case the few who are offended by Italians... being Italian.
They seem so stereotypical New York
Henry Soults *new yok.
+meme expert *Noo yawk
People, people, you're forgettin the broh
I love Prince St! I got there every time I'm in the city!
I watched this video three times it was so good
""You no come back here - I'm a autist!" - Italian guy" - Dominic Morano
Ok so I have a question regarding their 4th pizza commandment ("fold the slice in the middle"). How exactly would you punish me if I ordered in your pizzeria and then rolled the slices up? Since that is the only way I ever eat pizza; you start at the tip of the slice, roll it toppings in/dough out and end up with a nice crust-lined pizza joint
Zbyhonj LMFAO
"fold the slice in the middle" it is all about the cut. You will fold for a 15% more of the pie.
Stay where you are I'm calling the police
turn yourself into the police please
What did he say was the first commandment?
That looks absolutely delicious. Definitely going to try this!
Man I love Sean
As soon as you make a rule about eating pizza, you loose.
lose*
Why can't i have sauce to dip the crust in?
Pretentious new yorkers?
You no come back here! You no! This a disgrace!
because in Italy they don't eat the crust, you gotta secretly take your crusts away and go somewhere else hahaha
You couldn't live in Brooklyn where the pizza owners will curse you out if you ask for anything more than cheese or pepperoni.
EH CBunny they must lose out on a lot of business
I'm adding this to my favourites just in case I ever decide to cook something.
Man I love Sean my boi
This is the same dude that said his pepperoni, his fucking cured PORK, didn't create grease.
Store bought dough!? WTF?
LOVE this video Sean!
love this guy!
waddup hot mom
I'm sorry but I'm italian and I love ranch with pizza. Lmao
Dominic NPC Get out
"Italian"
I'm pretty sure you can get jail time in Italy for that.
What ? You are italoamerican not Italian foe sure boyy
"I'm Italian" - Checks videos - Is actually American
This is so legit. Reminds me of living in the NYC suburbs. Thank you for posting this!!! Will definitely use the sauce recipe
looks soooo good
Says "Why buy pizza when you can make it at home", 3 scenes later "Yes, you can make the dough, but it's faster to buy it"....DUDE, MAKE UP YOUR MIND.
sWampY dough is just basically flour and water
first we yeast
Austin Tweedy
plus eggs and yeast. That isn't why he said get store bought though. Making dough is a very long and difficult process, and can be screwed up so easily.
Making the dough is 90% of the process.
you don't need eggs. tippo 00 flour, salt, water yeast.
that's it.
I definitely don't fold pizza. It's not a fuckin sandwich.
that's a simple sauce and it looks amazing.
that look amazing got to try this out.
Under 100 squad!
Great job on making pizza love the show. i cant help but Lmao complains about jar pizza sauce but used canned tomato sauce as a base p.s nothing better than a homemade garlic dipping sauce for pizza I love when people make ridiculous food rules it's hilarious
paul savage Its tomato puree. You can make it yourself but it will be the same so why bother?
It's not canned SAUCE. They are canned tomatoes, do you peel and cut all your tomatoes too? They are imported from Italy and some brands are very fresh. And he's joking quite a bit lighten up buzzkill.
basdenoudsten1
Fucking A right brother.
I dont really have anything else to type but i cant stop myself. help, send pizza
It's canned sauce you can call it puree if you want it's the same fucking thing lol like I said in my op it's canned sauce then they made marinara by adding garlic basil etc lol the point was them complaining about canned sauce and saying jar sauce is bad some ARE sweet but most not so long story short screw that guy and just make it how you like it like I said fuck people's dumb rules
paul savage I would have to agree. Italians have a giant stick up their ass about their food, it's fantastic.
They're a super sweet family
great episode. learned some good tips
What's the point if you dont make the dough yourself? It's not a homemade pizza.
*buying dough in the store?? he was sarcastic right? no way you get a good dough in a damn store, there is just no way, i tried many pizza and the dough is for me the hardest part.*
Intelligenkeit he meant his own store. He runs a pizza shop. They use their own family recipe to make the dough in their pizza store
Damn this guy has so much energy!
I'M doin this great video ive been scared of pizza at home way too long!!! luv this info on how to
"Don't eat sauce out of a jar"
They use canned tomato sauce......
Bakusen Canned tomatoes =/= canned sauce. Do you seriously not see the difference? Making it fresh with garlic, basil, etc. makes all the difference in the world
Limbis if you put freshness as top priority you look like a joke if the ingredients aren't fresh. Like making a fresh fish dish out of frozen fish.
Bakusen the best pizzerias in NY make sauce from canned San Marzano tomatoes. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Alan T then I guess that's the best NY can do. Don't come to Italy or the real sauce will blow your socks off. Stick to your canned shit
of course you can't tell the difference, what do ppl from ny know about real italian pizza. Would not be surprised if everything tasted just like chicken for them
You don't need to be an expert to use a sauce from fresh tomatoes you dumbass :))))) Though if that's what you think then I wonder what high-end dishes are to you, God food or something. Culinary expert to use fresh sauce, heh. Good one. Ignorant new yorkers
Ranch on pizza is a fucking sin.
Mom needs to teach...I love her technique
Sean, im saving this one so I can make home made pizza with the family.👍👍👍
1:00 "I don't trust other people making my food sometimes you can't see what's going on behind that wall..."
8:00 *Blows Italian douche bag spit all over the bottom of my pizza*
GenitalWhispering He's making the pizza for himself not for other people! That's not your pizza that's his pizza!
But he did mention something something with sanitary just before he did that to his OWN pizza.
Haha you seem to listen to everything but important things, you idiot
He used canned crushed tomatoes, probably some of the best you can get (like San Marzano) and nothing beats that. He made his own mother's sauce recipe using those crushed tomatoes.
Lmao
I love these videos. Sean is so much more than a Hot Sauce guy and these videos are really cool.
dominic and his mom are everything i love about new york.
Goddamnit Mr. Evans is the new, the true, the only, sauce boss.
Sean, you have earned this channel every last sub, like, and breath.
Just made this sauce and it's AMAZING. Thank you so much!
Kevin P 🤗
Loved this cant wait 2 try the marinara
sean can cook for me any time. he has the skills.
Dom is so supportive 💙
