      Oh thank you so much for subscribing. 💜 The fun thing about these mugs and working with clay is you really don't have to be super crafty to make them look great. It's all about training your brain to see shapes and lines. Once you can do that, you can create almost anything.

    have you ever worked with CCDIY quick coat? I want to do a dragon tail handle like this and then on the cup use the scales out of card stock and I use quick coat to seal the card stock. After I bake the polymer clay would it be okay to use the quick coat just on the cardstock around the clay design?

    Hi Rachel I love your work and watch your tutorials often. I have to warn ya that my hearing isn’t the greatest so I miss details often. My question is what kind of paint do you use that is safe for baking in the oven?

    • @clayordie

      Acrylic paints. Just be sure they are completely dry

    So it is ok to bake acrylic paint? But spray paint should not be baked, right?

    • @clayordie
      @clayordie  2 роки тому

      Yes, it's okay. Just make sure it's completely dry before baking. And spray paint cannot be baked at all. Hope this helps 💜

    I love this tutorial SO much! I am going to try my hand at this! What type of tape do you use to tape off the rims? I noticed one is white and one is green.

    • @clayordie

  • @amyaustin513

    very neat cup. I have a question... at the end of the video there is electrical tape wrapped around your pvc pipe that your cup is attached too. what is that for? or is it doing anything? Thank you for your tutorial. I'm on thence about clay and you made it look so easy.

    • @clayordie
      @clayordie  3 роки тому +1

      That's my counter weight since we are adding so much extra weight to the handle. The electrical tape keeps the turner from stalling or skipping. 💜 you should definitely take a swing at clay work. It's so addicting and the sky is the limit when it comes to what you can make.

      @@clayordie ah I see. Ok thank you... I’ll keep seriously thinking about it... I do this as a hobby and absolutely make no money. I’ve sold a few to friends and co-workers... but it doesn’t even pay for itself or the hobby... So to add something to my craft at this point isn’t exactly a good move, for now. Lol
