So adorable and still very realistic! I can't wait to give this one a try. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us, you are seriously amazing!
Yes, just jump in. It's so addictive and so much fun. Plus the beauty of clay is, you can always roll the clay back up and start again without having to strip the entire cup. You've got this!
i am still kinda confuse about the bottom? lol did you epoxy all of the cup? even the metal parts that werent not decor? any tips . thanks kindly. i love your turorials......blessings to you.
This is adorable!! Newbie question here--when you are baking the smaller embellishments, do you bake them for the full time on the package or a shorter time? Thanks :)
I bake for the full time according to the pack directions each time I bake. So since the icing parts were thinner, I would adjust my time to reflect their thickness.
For this tutorial, I did color the clay myself. But you can buy colored clay at your local craft store. My go to is craft smart (it's Michaels brand). It's inexpensive and one of the more flexible clays that I've found. 💜
That's a great question. 275 degrees is actually incredibly low compared to what these tumblers can/do withstand. For example, when being powder coated, they are typically in an oven that is anywhere between 350 to 450 degrees farenheit.
That's a completely valid question. Polymer clay is actually quite strong. It can crack during the baking process but that's usually due to trapped air trying to escape. But ultimately, I haven't had much experience with the piece breaking once I've finished it. I definitely would suggest you give it a go and see how you like it. And if you have any issues, always feel free to reach out and I can help the best way I can 💜
So excited to learn with you!! I've done a clay freddy krueger cup but definitely Wana try the donut cup xoxo

🥰🥰🥰 thank you!
Did you bake the brown clay with the black tape on the cup?
So stinkin’ cute! What did you use to color your clay?
I used alcohol inks. :)
Making me hungry girl!
Lol nothing better than a good donut! 😋
Does the tape have to be removed when and changed out in between epoxy layers or just before it dries ? Did you also epoxy the rim?
Do you color the clay? And have you ever use any other inexpensive clay? Thank you
For this tutorial, I did color the clay myself. But you can buy colored clay at your local craft store. My go to is craft smart (it's Michaels brand). It's inexpensive and one of the more flexible clays that I've found. 💜
Do you purchase the different colors of clay or add color to the clay you linked?
For this tumbler, I colored the ink with alcohol inks. But depending on the tutorial, sometimes I do buy my colors. 💜
I thought we weren't supposed to bake the cups because it could break the seal? Just wondering since this is what I've always heard on 3d cups.
That's a great question. 275 degrees is actually incredibly low compared to what these tumblers can/do withstand. For example, when being powder coated, they are typically in an oven that is anywhere between 350 to 450 degrees farenheit.
One thing I am concerned about do you ever feel that that clay could crack or break?
That's a completely valid question. Polymer clay is actually quite strong. It can crack during the baking process but that's usually due to trapped air trying to escape. But ultimately, I haven't had much experience with the piece breaking once I've finished it. I definitely would suggest you give it a go and see how you like it. @@clayordie That answer was very helpful thank you so much for responding
Do I seriously need to add another tumbler to my To Do List🤦♀️
Yes, yes you do lol 💜
