Often times, and I'm 65 years old, that I've noticed that Comedians often have the most intellectual and grounded viewpoints.
Then, you are talking about leftwingers because CONservatives always punch down and aren't known for having any sense of humor to start with.
They have done research on comedians, they say that youve got to be smart to pick up on what people do, and how they behave. It takes a lot of intellect and energy to be able create a show, and deal with hecklers, along with a constant self awareness and an awareness of what is going on in the World.

Certainly not the busy people living their lives. And they aren't voting in primaries either, because many of those busy people barely can spare the time to vote in November. Hecklers can be fun. When I was a singer in my 20s, I had a dumpy girl stand up and say, "oh, you're so sure you're hot, arentcha?!" God was on my shoulder when I answered, "well, your man sure thinks so." The guys in my band nearly doubled over laughing, and none of them (or I) had expected that out of me.
