It’s so unfortunate to hear that you’ve suffered the psychiatric system.
It’s very fortunate to hear that you’ve managed to survive and are now in recovery?
I’ve witnessed the horrors of psychiatry myself - so I am cheering for you!

@@thedraptomaniac8312 Aw thank you 🙏 cheering for you too. The last four months of drug withdrawal have been intense but also the most beautiful and healing time of my life!
I found a psychiatrist who helps people taper and it's reassuring to have someone who is "on your side" and understands what you have been through as a human being, rather than just seeing you as a disease ( my last label was bipolar ) .
It feels like a rebirth, finally reconnecting with myself, seeing an energy worker and doing Kelly Brogans "Vital Mind Reset" program, as well as Eckhart Tolle also helped immensely.
What's also beautiful is that through meditation and a lot of work on myself, I learned not to feel like a "victim" of psychiatry, trying to change / fight the old...but instead creating the New.. :) It's powerful, we are changing the world through changing ourselves. 💕✨
As Goethe says: "We do not have to visit a madhouse to find disordered minds; our planet is the mental institution of the universe."
The "insane" are probably among the most sane so they need to be locked away for society to be able to continue being insane. But we'll not let them ;) 💪 I met some of the most gifted humans on my journey and I intend to do what I can to help , as Robert Whitaker does with passion...❤️

Hello there, thanks for uploading the talk with R.W.
Truly it’s beneficial for all to review his work - especially survivors/users of psychiatry.
Many illusions that I - and I suppose a great many have had and still have - regarding the nature of this “medical speciality” are dispelled after hearing Robert Whitaker talk.
I’m surprised that he has not been knighted yet?
To a great a many he is already noble and always going to respected for his courage and integrity!

Thankfully I watched thi s film before I took my son 20 to Atlanta brain Institute we didn't want drugs. They offered him a 30 page diet and supplements. We saw some improvement but this diet wasn't sustainable. He continued to go downhill for next 3 years. Finally found a specialist who found lyme in his brain causing him symptoms. We traveled to Miami . His post graduate studies includes neurology, immunology, psychiatry. Perfect combination imo. His over 10 years experience in this field looks where others don't and his remedies had no side effects and it was quick. He's on here. Dr. Lonnie Herman

Robert Whitaker needs to be the provisor of information on a CDC-like info-link for any mention of psychiatric medications with which he is knowledgable . I know, not happening likely because YT isn't going to acknowledge this reality if it's hard to get a hmmmm (without an eyeroll) from a doctor.

If someone is down-and-out, have him train in aesthetic music classes - so he will overcome his sadness. The 1st classes should be with enthusiastic drum music, where everyone starts clapping and stomping {PBS T.V., 2006}. Soon, people are laughing - since happiness + physiology are being triggered together, which the subconscious mind takes literally. After many such Laughter Yoga sessions, he could begin learning a musical instrument and then rehearse with others (Like at the Cares Cafe in Shanghai, where Autism types also work there.). He also could sing in a Glee Club - the main thing is: to develop a dedicated mental & emotional cathexis, which is what Mental Health is!

😤 Doctors study medicine. Hospitals like repeat customers. In the past doctors have always pushed pharmaceuticals. 😖 Ethics?

@@Shiwanokia-oo1nq The psychiatrists who are being allowed to run the Mental Health Industry see every day the great harm they are doing to down-and-outers. How is it that these doctors are too hubristic to perceive this and {unlike Breggin, et.al.} have not discovered & arranged the Emphatic Talent Training that people need? Everyone can develop a dedicated mental + emotional cathexis (unless dossed with neurotoxic drugs or zapped with ECT) - which is what Mental Health is. / The blind vista of psych professionals is what Peter Gotzsche calls Organized Denial - and great changes must be made!
