Water damage usually isnt instant, sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks for corrosion to set in. Would be grest to have a long term prespective next time. The Pulse 5 is crazy durable though, and great vid, thanks!

I think the end caps aren’t designed to keep it water tight so when it drops and opens there’s an actual water seal underneath it that’s separate from the end caps which is good design because you don’t want it breaking after a first drop
This speaker is more durable then I thought it would be, but I think they made the glass on the pulse 5 laminated to be more durable.
I got heart attack when you drop the Pulse 5 lol

What type of charger do you use ?
I have a jbl pulse 5 but I probably wouldn't damage it as much I'm still going to be very careful with it

why did you keep the phone in your pocket if it took longer to pause? you could have set it on the porch behind you to reach it and pause it easier.

This is an indoor speaker why would you submerge a 250.00 speaker in water or drop it mine are kept inside where I listen to music the pulse for me stays inside you got the flip 6 and charge 5 etc for outdoors

I still love my hyperboom. If you can get a deal, yeah sure get it. But don’t get mad if a new one comes out soon. The boombox 3 is also a good option. Plus it charges with an AC port.

Are the pulse 5 and pulse 4 similar in durability or is the pulse 5 much stronger ?
I assume they are the same given that they both have the same acrylic body.
Yeah one drop from one of my pulse 4s it’s cracked and another one of my pulse 4s got knocked over on my drive way and got deep scratches

Personally, I’ll put ppt on the body for added protection. It’s always safer with protection😂

That's the only jbl product I've ever seen regardless of sound quality that looks good. I feel their products are so ugly.
One time I got into a fight with my meth head roommate and he SMASHED my pulse 3 on some rocks I still used it for many many months 😂😂😅
