In my current eu4 playthough as milian. Things have gotten a bit cursed. Aside from becoming a protestant milian. The reformation fired early (to give you an idea, Level 8 tech was considered slightly ahead of time). And I accidentally made 2 center's of reformation be in Italy (I chose to become protestant as soon as I was able to. Which created the second center for protestant. Then my subjects decided to do so almost immediately after, which resulted in a center in Corsica). Because of this neither Brandenburg or Sweden flipped to protestant. And England became the defender of the Catholic faith. On top of this. By some miracle. Burgundy survived long enough to become emperor of the hre. And castle created a colony in Brazil before Portugal and England created any colony, and somehow Russia is doing very badly
Land maintenance modifier -100 was actually posible, and actually "fairly" easy, because being the leader of the revolution used to give a -50% land maintenance modifier
If you are ever interested in “double dipping” I feel like these modifier videos are really nice but will not be duplicated in most cases because you have to commit an entire campaign to these modifiers. I would really like some “guide” type videos that focus on these same modifiers but with the intent of getting max 4 idea groups. Most people stop about that time anyway so if you provided a couple different ways to get to the same thing it would be really cool, like build setups. This is just a random example but I think a video explaining 3 different ways to get 60% land maintenance modifier by 1600 will provide a lot more utility than a video where you have to play until 1800s to get to 90
That fair, and you will notice for a lot of the later ones I would discuss more ‘builds’ as well as the theoretical limit. Thing is these vids did expecially when I started out exist just to personally answer the question: what’s the highest possible x, assuming infinite time/skill.
I found out that other people have had the issue I talked about with forming Tuscany and they reported it to paradox. it seems like that bug/glitch might be fixed in the next update for eu4, but now I'm unsure if it's better to start as Florence or Milian (until the bug is patched. You can only get stuff from Tuscany if you start as Florence. Through as Florence all you gain if you form Tuscany is autonomy reduction and a bit of unrest. milian has better ideas in regards to idea cost (though not as good of a starting ruler as Florence, and Florence gains more idea cost reduction from missions) so in a way it's hard to say which is better. But I can say that in the end. Milan doesn't give any significant permanent modifiers (only extra tax trade power and institution spread in there starting capital) but you can get silk and tier 1 republic reforms that provide extra moral, though Florence can get an extra diplomat and loans with slightly less interest but it's biggest money maker is a permanent modifier that can be given to there starting capital to increase tax and significantly increase trade)
2 obvious problems with the 'Ruler eugenics' part - 1, claiming the mandate of Heaven locks you into the Celestial Empire tier 1 gov reform, which would lock out the Livonian reform, so you max out at +4/3/2 using this method. Second, ruler stats aren't actually rolled by a random number between 0-6 for each stat. Instead each stat is rolled by two random rolls of 0-3 added together, meaning rolls of 0 and 6 have just a 2/32 chance. Rolls of 3 have an 8/32 chance etc. Which means even with +4/3/2 generation (I went and replicated the steps aside from the celestial reform) the chances of a 6/6/6 are still pretty low. Like yes, you'll get lots of rulers like 6/5/4 levels of stats, but an actual 6/6/6 was still worse than something like a 1 in 25 chance.
o/ 1. Regarding locking in the Celestial Empire reform: yeah its meant to you. You can get out of it, in a bunch of my runs you have to do it. Kind of an exploit but yeah flip out of Celestial Empire tier 1. 2. I am aware! If you look at the maths section, the 2d4-2 nature of stat rolls is reflected in the maths section; hence why I was going for a spread. Bare in mind too, you aren't looking for high rolls like two 3's, you basically need to not roll and 1 or 0 twice. Again, reflected in the maths section. Damn just like the good old days, this is like a comment I used to get back in the day :)
1. I would add a great project "Nan Madoll" in colonization speed stacking (+25 and 5%). 2. Maybe there is the reason, but could you change to Zoro (if it still be on the map) after Prussia for "Baku Ateshgah" monument (+10% disc)? Thanks for 10 hours of counting numbers!

Since modifiers and mechanics are mostly covered: Here is one that exists and I am 99% no one "utilizes". How is one supposed to utilize I do not know. The weird mechanic I am talking about is Revanchism. The buffs it gives are kinda really good. Would be a fun video talking about...losing lol.
I think that you should revisit the cavalry stacking video, since there have been changes to the Timurid mission tree. Some of the modifiers in the video are also kind of mutually exclusive. Like for example when you form Mughals, you switch to monarchy and lose Sich Rada. You should also form Pomerania before Poland as you need Poland to exist and be either ally or vassal for that mission. What I'd do is start as Teutons, complete their missions forb 15% cca, I'd vassalize Poland and form Pomerania for 10% cca. Then I'd annex and form Poland for the ideas. I'd then convert to muslim and form Timurids for 35% cca from missions and privilege. Then I'd form Tibet so I can become a horde and switch to eastern or pagan religion so I can claim the mandate. I'd declare on the mandate holder with claim the mandate CB but mid war I'd switch to Christian religion so I get eastern tech group once I stop being a horde and get access to Cossack estate for 20% cca. Once I'm the Emperor of China I'd also pick the celestial reform for 5% cca. As my end tag I'd form Persia so I can get 10% cca from Qizilbash. As a little bonus I'd also be able to breed horses and get additional benefits for Qizilbash units. For my ideas I'd pick the same as you, Aristocratic while I'm monarchy but before I form Persia and Horde while I'm horde or with that Timurid government reform, I'd probably also pick court ideas as 1 of the fillers to better manage my 7 estates. I don't really care about temporary modifiers and might have also missed something
Espionage instead of court with aristocratic gives policy for another 10%, and quality is required for the last 10% from ideas. I’m doing a regular Zaporozia game and by the end I should have 140CCA if I form Poland, but I’m leaning towards Ruthenia at 115% without quality. I should have more than 90% cav cost easily as well. If you convert Muslim you loose out on Cossacks CCA and when you convert to orthodox later you will loose the Muslim CCA so realistically it isn’t super worth it. I think when you form Persia it’s going to get rid of the Cossacks as well so you will be constantly gaining and loosing sources of CCA thru the game. Reddit had a post recently where someone got I think close to 200% so there is a path, it’s just a matter of finding it
@jric6283 Yeah, I said I'd take the same ideas as him, it gives another 10 with horde policy. You need to be Muslim to form Timurids and you get a lot of cca from their missions. Forming Persia shouldn't get rid of Cossack estate. All you need for them is to be christian and Eastern tech group (you can get that one by becoming christian horde and reform out of it if you don't start with it) I also didn't mention others that were already mentioned in the video like the East slavic government reform privilege which is technically also mutually exclusive with Sich Rada as it disables nobility. Court ideas have nothing to do with cca. They're just a nice idea group for the playthrough as it allows you to better deal with the amount of estates you're going to have and help you a bit with mandate and Persian influence
@@LOKJAV 20% cavalry combat ability from forming the Timurids is a very big amount, and for the videos lemoncake does it makes sense. It would be such a difficult campaign to try and duplicate in Ironman tho. I just looked into it and it isn’t as simple as it seems. Apparently converting to orthodox does not change your tech group to eastern anymore. The only way to get eastern tech group is to flip to orthodox religion as a tribal government then reform into a monarchy, republic or theocracy. That means that you will have to either pick an eastern tag at start or a tribal if you want Cossacks. If you start as the Teutons you would have to join the HRE ASAP conquer Pomerania and befriend or vassalize Poland like you said which severely limits expansion, then you go horde path which removed you from HRE, meanwhile you need to be snaking like crazy to get to Uzbek, change to Uzbek culture, swap religion to sunni and click decision to enthrone timurids prince. As long as you get the first decision you don’t have to form them right away so that helps but by starting as Teutonic order and forming Pomerania you can only get 25% CCA. Because you can’t get eastern tech group without being a tribe first simply starting as Zaporozia and taking the special horde reform gives you 40% from Cossacks loyalty and Reform. So it would be better to still start as Zaporozia for 40% snake to Pomerania for the 10% while also snaking to Uzbek to later get the 20% from timurids. Conquering Poland and Pomerania before 1490 would be essential to not having to flip religion again but you would get the 30% from Poland early preferably. Per the wiki it doesn’t say forming Persia requires you to be Muslim so you could technically flip back if needed but I think you are right about Persia. When you change to persia and timurids you should stay in the same tech group of eastern so the Persian estate you mentioned should still be on the table to get another 10%, the only thing I can’t find information on is if once you swap to Muslim for the timurids decision I’m worried you loose the Cossacks estate Preferably you could end Muslim for the 10% but only if it doesn’t take away Cossacks or you will actually loose 20%
