Had to forward this to my son who converted an enclosed trailer to a camper as well. You have some ideas he can use. Very nice set up.

I love your ideas and you had also said that in case of loss of power or natural disasters you could use these methods. These are very good things to know. Thank you very much.

You are welcome, glad it could be helpful to you. We try to practice so that when an issue comes up, it isn't a big deal for us. Hopefully that makes sense.

For the smell in the bucket I put lemon fragrance oil in first then plastic bag add drops in plastic bag and close the top lid.
Or use any oil. Smells nice!

I love your bathroom setup even the shower tent colors. I had never seen the use of an adult diaper before...genius! Thank you.

This was the best tip ever. I have worked helping seniors and this is a game changer. I know that expression is overused, but wow. Thank you.

Try reliance biogel. And for bath or gray use campsuds or similar soap. I love your bathroom rig.

That is probably the nicest, cutest bathroom set up I have seen yet! I just purchased an SUV to use when I need to as a camper. There are a few things that are going to be very important to me and one of those things is having a bathroom. Also the next thing is being able to take my espresso machine with me! LOL not sure if that will work out.

Thank you! Lets us know if you need ideas on how to use your espresso machine.

@@daveandsonyainmichigan I have a De'Longhi machine. I think it's 120 watts. I suppose I'd need a jackery or another power source like it. I love it because I just push a button and it grinds the beans and makes the espresso lickity split. And it's delicious! I haven't done any camping yet and will probably start out with very small trips but I'm trying to plan ahead. Thank you!

@@kariturks8191sounds like a nice machine. The 120 watts seems low, look on the back or bottom of the unit for the manufacturer label. On the label it will say the wattage. If you can tell me how long a complete cycle is, I can recommend the minimum size unit you would need. I like the Bluetti brand battery units because they use a better battery then the jackery. Here is a link to Bluetti thru my shareasale: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1745428&u=3404816&m=108816&urllink=&afftrack=

@@daveandsonyainmichigan I meant to say 120 volts. It has 1350 watts. From the time I started until the time it's ready to be used it's less than a minute. Then it takes about 30 seconds to make a cup of coffee.

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan  Рік тому +1

1350 watts for 1.5 minute will only use 33.75 watt hours. (1350watts x 1.5min / 60min = 33.75 watt hours). The watt hours is very small, but the 1350 watts you need is pretty large. The smallest unit you could use is an AC200P which is 2000 watts of power and 2000 watt hours of capacity. You could pretty much power anything you wanted to plug into it. 2000 watts of power can power anything that has a standard house plug on it. The 2000 watt hours of capacity is how long you can run something before needing to be charged. You could make one cup of coffee from your espresso machine for more than 50 days straight. A larger continuous load like a heater would only last for 1.5 hours. You would still need to purchase solar panels or just charge it from you house. Here is a link, and it is currently $300 off: shrsl.com/3u3bp

Very informative...thank you for tackling this topic. Your cabana looks great! But I'm looking for a solution for "winter boondocking and need a tent that is a bit more substantial in temps that go down to 10 or 20*F. Any ideas on this? BTW, it never occurred to me about the adult diapers...thanks for the tip. Ciao.

Thank you. What about using a tent that is geared towards the weather, like an Ice Fishing Pop up Tent? You may need to have some sort of heat source with the lower temperatures. Maybe a heat source will be needed. www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFCP469V/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_GGWFPGZ467J5FB7BK1VQ?linkCode=ml2&tag=offgridwith0f-20

You could use peatmoss in that head instead of a diaper also like composting heads do

Yes you can for sure. We have also used pine shavings. Lots of option out there.

Can you please demonstrate the sink set up better? How is the water hooked up?

Which part are you interested in? At about 1:25 it shows the USB Water Bottle Pump. We made the hose longer (I think it was 1/4") so it could reach the cooler that is on the bottom shelf. We poked a hold in the cooler and run the hose down into that. If that didn't cover your question, let me know.

We are on day 2 of trying that now to see if there is any smell. Diverting urine to start, then will try everything in it, what has been your experience?
