The Ultimate Homesteading Cart
In this video, you will see that a Jogging Stroller has many uses on the Homestead. Not only are they good for moving children around, they also are great for moving things around the homestead with ease. The bigger 3-point wheels make it easier to push thru taller grass and uneven terrain, there is tons of storage, it collapses down for saving space, making this the ideal and economical cart for the homestead.

      Yes. Some cheap inverters aren't what they are rated and may have issues with start-up surge power. With my 600 watt invertor on my Bluetti power bank, I was able to inflate all the tire on my truck. Watch this video ua-cam.com/video/ZCHBbJ7ovlo/v-deo.html

    How do you manage to drive with the airbags still working? My juke won't start without the seat cable being connected :/

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan Місяць тому

      I don't remember for sure! I do remember a connector under the seat. Is your connector a 2 pin connector? I may have removed the sensor from the seat, left it plugged in and tucked it under the carpet. If that's not possible and it is a contact type switch based only on weight on the seat, you might be able to just jumper the terminals. This would take some testing to prove out before you just try it.

    • @lancelotamiel
      @lancelotamiel Місяць тому

      @daveandsonyainmichigan I have 2 two pin's connector, one for the airbag one for the pressure sensor, I thoug about adding a resistor to jump the cable but I was worried about messing with the airbags and unfortunetly I can't find any scematics about the electrical wiring 😅

      @@daveandsonyainmichigan Do you think I could deactivate the passager airbag with the dashboard command (the one meant fasten small childs) the put a resistor on the pressure sensor?

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan Місяць тому

      @lancelotamiel a schematic would be nice! I didn't have one either. I don't think I even had to look on the internet for help. I would un-plug one at a time to see which one is the issue. I assume the issue will be the one for pressure in the seat. Maybe, if you can turn off the passenger airbag, it might ignore the weigh sensor. Then maybe you just leave both unplugged. As far as the resistor goes, I don't believe the weight sensor is a smart sensor. I think it is like the one on a lawn mower seat, just a contact once a certain weight is on the seat. I am guessing that we just turned off her passenger air bag. If you measure the resistance across the 2 sensor terminals on the seat, you can tell if the resistance varies with seat weight or if it is just a contact.

    How many watt hours did the small heater use?

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan Місяць тому

      That would have been nice! I wanted to show how the two different heaters heated differently. The oil heater heats slower and doesn't use a fan. Both heaters used very similar wattage when running, and once they reach temp, they cycle off. Even though the smaller heater reached temp quicker than the oil filled heater and started cycling sooner. I bet the oil filled heater would cycle off longer, and after a period of time (maybe 1 to 2 hours), the watt hours would be the same. If I had 2 meters, I would have compared the wattage of both!

    I've been so worried about not having any eggs stored up for a longer term storage.. I bought 1 bag freeze dried eggs from one of the companies that sell food prep. I recently moved after a very bad rental situation and also a nervous breakdown. Life can beat the love right out of a person. I've not been the same since then but the point is my daughter's cat chewed through the bag somehow, so then was COVID now prices are a big problem today. The freezer thing is such a great way to save up on some!! Do you have girls laying extra eggs😅?? My dream is country living, I live on the border of a University so zoning isn't good for fresh eggs, only one of the best fourth of July celebrations every year. I'm excited hoping My health will be up to crowds, lots of people and fun. I'm getting up there in age and really want to make my final dream happen of living off grid, oh and I wanna make a trip to see the Giants in Cali. I would like some information on the power usage of the chargers themselves. Nobody unplugs their chargers. Most leave the battery in the charger until they need it again. So I would like to see a combination test. The first part is the power used to charge the battery but then continue the test with the battery in the charger until the 24 hour mark is reached. What power consumption is there from battery full to the 24 hour mark. Now if someone has 3-4-5 chargers all plugged in, that "non-charging time" could add up.

      @daveandsonyainmichigan first of all thankyou so much for replying. The previous one was broken but worked it If i just push it in. The difference was it was an 18 awg wire and a powerful 12v air compressor. First time the fuse in the plug blew as it comes with 5 amps. I put a 20 amp as I have another fuse on the line before it goes in to the compressor. It is a 15 amp automotive fuse. When I plugged it there were lights on the compressor but it blew as soon as I turned on the motor.

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan 27 днів тому

      He was on the sow for a few days, so he did get that from her. We ran to TSC and grabbed an all-species replacer. Then ordered Birthright Baby Pig Milk Replacer from Leedstone dot com as it is gears more specifically towards baby pigs. There is another one from Valley Vet dot com, if you need that info I can dig thru my notes. We also did iron at 24 hours and then at 10 days per vet recommendation. Some say day 3 but he said that in 3 days, the piglets can get into some trouble, so he always does 24 hours, so they don't go into crisis. We also learned for our area that Selenium is low, we give BO-SE. Talk to your local farmers and vet, they will know if your area is low. Another big thing, have a relationship already established with a vet. We had an emergency at about 5 days and being able to call the vet and him being out on our farm within the hour helped so much. There are only two wires. How do we know which goes with which?

    • @daveandsonyainmichigan
      @daveandsonyainmichigan 3 місяці тому

      That is a very good question. There is a few ways and, in some cases, you can't tell. 1) The easiest is to pay attention to the way you removed the wires. Take a picture before removing the old wires. 2) Let's say the wire is cut. Hopefully there is a small piece of the colored insulation still on the wire. 3) Maybe on the remaining piece of wire, there is not insulation, or the insulation is the same color. Then if you are lucky the remaining wire is different lengths. Compare the lengths to determine which wire is which. 4) The Red or (+) positive wire will be soldered to the center pin (pin with the spring). 5) If all these fail, you may get lucky and have a connector on the other end of the wire identified as Positive (+) or Negative (-). There may be a small pictorial view showing (+) or (-), then you can use Voltmeter and check for continuity to trace the wire thru the connector. 6) You may need to open the device and see if the circuit board is labeled. 7) Some wires will be labeled a white strip or ribbing formed in the insulation. The manufacturer of that item would have all those identified the same polarity. But I can't say that there is a standard to which is which. So, I will refrain from saying which wire is which. 8) Sometimes you need to quess. You have a 50% chance to get it right. For the few times I guessed and got it wrong, then swapped the wires, I have never burnt anything up! I can't say you would be a lucky as myself.

    Yeah heck yeah and if you do the rc car 1:10 scale car spur and sprocket gear on that the Dremel spinning at 24,000 out of 38,000 max rev, at a one four. The three phase generator still spins at 6 "THOUW". Its sold as a low speed generator anyway. So if you up the rpms it I'll porabola. I saw a guy from India already do it with a high rpm corded hand drill. With a gearbox and a spindle mount/axle mount fan blade built onto the shaft of the motor and one on the generator it'll run long term no maintenance. Life of bearing.

      You do need to he careful. The tools you put in the rotary tools have a maximum rpm for each tool. Don't exceed this rating. The tool may come apart and hurt someone. Be careful out there!

    Byootyville my man. I have a generator thing happening PERCON brand new fav flave, I need to know those under load and stall wattages. I have a very myth busted occurance happening, if it can be slighted the Pentagon level Information Technology punks hacking will decieve and slight it. If it's NEAR electrcity they will break it or start it on fire. I had an ECOFLOW RIVER MINI. NUFF CAMEOED. Bernie Mac reference. The NUFFSAID Company. Nuff said mentioned.

    Had to forward this to my son who converted an enclosed trailer to a camper as well. You have some ideas he can use. Very nice set up.

    This looks pretty safe compared to some I’ve seen.

      It's pretty, and might be good for light. This will not produce enought heat to heat reasonable space.

      In a situation where the heat is off, we wouldn't be trying to heat our entire house or even the largest room in our home. We would want to try to block off doors and even window to the rest of the house and "live" in a smaller area. This indeed will take the chill out of a room and definitely warm a smaller room. In fact, when we lost power for 12 days at Christmas one year, a similar set up was used in a bathroom to keep parrots alive.
