hot air use in spray dryer is hot steam or other kind of hot air like electric heater air or lpg generatated hot air....I seen many industry use boiler steam in to the spray dryer.....what type of air use in spray dryer stem or only hot air.....what is the difference in steam and hot air
Thanks for the question. Steam is water converted into vapours. When you cool it, it forms water droplets. Whereas hot air is just air with no water content. In spray drying we want to dry our product completely to remove moisture from it. So, we use electrically heated air in spray drying.

Why does moisture increase when you increase air inlet temperature
Because more the temperature, more will be the evaporation rate of your particles. Hence more moisture it will give.

Molasses are viscous right? If it is sprayable than it can be dried.
Powder grain particle hardness depends of the which parameter of spray drying ?
The particle hardness will depend on-
1. Spray pump rpm
2. Volatility of the solvent
3. Temperature of the drying chamber

Exact temperature I won’t be able to tell but just keep in mind the temperature should be below the degradation temperature of the molecule.

Well that depends on the product you are drying. It should be sufficient enough to dry the solvent of a droplet before it touches the wall of drying chamber.

If the solvent evaporates at that temperature than you can do it. Keep the feeder rpm low.

Yes we can but spray drying is an expensive technique. You should consider the business prospect of your product also.

Both can be simple air.
Filtered air heated to a certain temperature.
Compressed air.
