He was vilified by the tabloids for Lady Di. But they were both victims. Forced into an arranged marriage that he didn't want. The love of his life was always Camila and even Diana knew it before getting married
Now that is a cool king! Greetings from Denmark. My grandmother on her way to school used to say hello to our King Christian the 10 every morning on his morning horse protest patrol of occupied Copenhagen - it was his protest against the Wehrmacht
During WW2, the Danish King I believe would go riding out on horseback by himself with no security detail. The Germans were confused by this and asked a bystander where his bodyguard was. The bystander simply responded the entire country was his bodyguard. Idk if it’s true or not, but this video gives me that kind of vibe

What is wacky is that there is no sign of any police body guard in this clip (although there must have been at least one nearby if he was walking somewhere open to the public, I think.)
I saw a similar video on YT where some American tourists met the late Queen while walking at Balmoral. They asked her whether she lived locally, she said yes and they chatted awhile. They did not recognise her nor know who she was and she never told them - priceless.
As someone who lived in the Netherlands for nine months during a work-mission secondment from my company. I saw the King and Queen multiple times in a public park working out, and not single Dutch person said hello lol 😂 everyone was just busy doing their thing. I also parked next to the PM a couple of times, at various traffic lights 🚦 on my bicycle, and no, he wasn’t in a car. He was on a bicycle too.
There isn't an attribution on this video, but this is from the latest upload on UA-cam mtber McTrail Rider's channel. I don't have any direction connection to him, but I've enjoyed hours of free entertainment from his videos on YT, so I feel he deserves to get full credit here!

Hes more like his Mother her majesty the Queen than the media portray. Calm collect and self contained. He was obviously enjoying the solitude. I hope he was being watched out for by his security detail.
To people wondering if has security The original post showed before meeting him a patrol unit scouting ahead And behind the king is another security detail Not to mention I'm sure there's a hidden grass boi with a long boomstick aiming at them while they were talking
This happened once with the Queen who was on a walk with an aide. Two hikers from another country, America I think, stopped and chatted with her for several minutes. They took photos with her... And never realized it was the Queen of England. After the hikers moved on the Queen remarked that one of their friends in their home country would likely recognize her in the photo. The story was told by the man who accompanied the Queen on her walk. Sep 9, 2022 - Speaking to Sky News, Griffin revealed that the Queen once played a prank on two American tourists who didn't recognize her.
As I recall the story was even better because the hikers asked the Queen if she'd ever met the Queen, knowing that they were in the right area, and she said "no, but {insert name of Police Officer here} has met her several times"!
and they asked what she was like, he said 'she's a bit cantankerous but has a wonderful sense of humour' !!!! then they got her to take a picture of them with her guard. Imagine saying they'd met a man who knew the Queen and here are some pictures of us with him and his lady friend, and their American friends saying 'But that IS the Queen.'!!!@@chiefsilverback

No-one telling him what to say and do and if there were bodyguards they weren’t infringing on his freedom. What a magical encounter.

Everything that a politician isn't.
How nice of the King to talk with these bikers. Although not a “regular” person like us, he comes across as a very pleasant man.
King Charles seems like a really cool guy. That's awesome he was willing to chat with strangers as if they knew each other. Moments like this really do go a long way
He was vilified by the tabloids for Lady Di.
Brilliant and nice to see him stop and chat without being surrounded by security
He has an epic, gravely voice. I lost my mom in 2020,I felt for him when Elizabeth died ❤️
Brilliant to see our King is still able to relax in the countryside he loves so much. He has a lot on his shoulders. Great Mountain Bike ride in that spectacular landscape.

I am far from a royalist but nice to see the human side of someone in this position
I seen Charles many times and he was down to earth who loves to chat
“That was our King.” A quote worthy of Shakespeare.
That was a king … wow what a genuine and kind soul he has ❤

What a nice guy .. the peace and tranquility of the countryside is a great leveller.
Speaking to the King: “my mate’s kind of a big deal in the mountain biking world”
OMG! That is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my entire life! In other countries, there’s no way security would allow anybody to get nowhere near the head figure of the country. I applaud King Charles, for being such an approachable man of the people 👏🏻
He is just a man who likes a walk in the hills fundamentally.
In the Netherlands, our royals and prime ministers also walk without security detail…
@@pjotrtje0NL Niiiice 👍🏻
Thats not entirely true, as most Scandinavian countries have their royalty out and about. At least here in Norway where the former king used to take the bus back some decades. Granted, after 9/11 some changes where naturally made.

I usually don't care about all this stuff, but this was lovely. A wonderful, normal conversation that shows all parties in a good light. Heartwarming.
From personal experience I can confirm that he is indeed a very nice and friendly man as I have met him Myself on a number of occasions during My Life.

I saw a similar video on YT where some American tourists met the late Queen while walking at Balmoral. They asked her whether she lived locally, she said yes and they chatted awhile. They did not recognise her nor know who she was and she never told them - priceless.
We would be lucky to have such a thoughtful and long proven decent gent on our team. He is a mensch.
King Charles is such a friendly gentleman, down to earth.
A very humble King

I remember when this happened to the queen with American tourists she LIED about who she was.
Amazing. A memory to treasure. Good on Charlie!
Sep 9, 2022 - Speaking to Sky News, Griffin revealed that the Queen once played a prank on two American tourists who didn't recognize her.
ua-cam.com/video/Uw9g1Q74t4s/v-deo.html At 52secs. The Queen+ 1 Royal Protection Officer
As I recall the story was even better because the hikers asked the Queen if she'd ever met the Queen, knowing that they were in the right area, and she said "no, but {insert name of Police Officer here} has met her several times"!
@@chiefsilverback Yes, that's how I remember the story as well, the late Queen had a wonderful sense of humour.
