Tech Steve's intentions are good but you should always do in person sound demo's, by the time the audio gets to your ears through UA-cam it's so convoluted it hardly qualifies as being accurate.

@@TechSteve If your review gets people interested enough in the Rokit 5 to go check them out at the retail level then you've accomplished exactly what the review is designed to do in the first place, you can't force people there but you can suggest they at least check it out.

@@malibustacy3606 thats the entire point. No review with audio recorded through an phone mic is going to interest me enough to go to a store and listen. This review helped me narrow it down so I can check stock at retailers to go look. I didn't say I was basing my entire judgement of these monitors off this review.

So I really hope someone can help me complete my set up lol. I have a krk rokit 5 speaker that is plug into my Samsung monitor with 3.5 to xls cable. You may ask why I have it plug to my computer monitor? Well that monitor is a usb type c monitor that I run one cable to my mbp, which lets me output the volume to the monitor and the monitor takes it to the speaker. I love the set up with music and movies but its is so annoying have to reach behind the Samsung monitor to turn up or down the volume. I was looking into an interface but they are kinda of pricey and dont know if it well solve my problem. So the main question, if I buy an audio interface can I use it to connect my rokit and Samsung monitor to it and still be able to get audio from my mbp? If the mbp is not connected can I still be able to get sound from the monitor itself if I'm playing my Xbox(it does now since everything is connect to my Samsung monitor)?
