The thing that makes krk so great is that they last a really long time and can take a beating. They can also be great for house parties. Their subs are hella powerful, and are concert worthy. I know a lot of world famous DJs use krks in the tour busses for after parties.

Hey Archie Beatz, how’s it going? Great video and track👍🏾 Am especially liking the low end of the track and vocal sound. Also did you ever get your hands on the Kh750 to compliment the KH80’s? I am still happy with the KH80’s and NDH20 headphones and the sub seems like the next move. Or are you using another sub?

I used to use the KRK Rokit monitors and for just listening to music they sound real good and people who heard them liked them, but when I start work again recording I had to get rid of them because of all that hyped low end the Rokit series monitors have. I went to flatter sounding monitors for working.

    • @archiebeatz

I see. You definitely have to learn the Rokits and get use to them with the low end. I love them for production but I push my mixes through flatter monitors. I may check back with them during the mixing process because I know them.

I have a question.. so I’m currently using a pair of Harmon kardon Onyx 6 Bluetooth speakers as my monitors for my piano.
Eh .. I know they’re not made for this since there’re not really monitors. They sound great but I do notice an ever so subtle delay that kind of makes me play a little off.
Do studio monitors help reduce delay for live playing???

  • @moshebitton

Well, they are good, much better than the gen 3, but their 7 and 8 inches monitors makes a very noticible hiss noise. I went to hear them on the store and was amazed that I could hear the hiss from more than one meter away from the monitors. I don't understand how they released them as nearfield monitors like this...

You said they were your first monitors so what do you use now. I have an old pair of Rokit 8 speakers and one stopped working. I remember the first time i listened to them i didnt like them. I thought the bass was to woomy. But then i got used to them and started liking them. But now that i am going to buy a new pair of monitors i have been trying to decide if i want to buy the same but the new generation. Or buy some other brand like maybe Yamaha. Or something else. Where i live i cant listen to them before buying them. I will just order them online. So i am watching youtube reviews. But its hard to judge a speaker when you are listening on a computer speaker. And most videos are bias and bought and paid for. Any advice or opinion ?

    • @archiebeatz

My main monitors now in my home studio are the Focal Trio6 and Fluid Audio Image 2 for my B monitors. I have my Rokit 8 and V8 setup in an extra room in my house for production. Yeah, when you lock into them and get use to them you get great results. I totally understand. To be honest, studio monitors are one of the most difficult things to display sonically in the UA-cam world. There are videos that show monitor measurements and results but these are normally done in rooms that are nothing psychologically like the viewers studios. My suggestions is to go to your local audio retailer and listen to some monitors in the pro audio department. Then make sure you properly set your room up... At least putting up some panels and capturing your first reflections. I hope this helps Jonathan.

I felt there was a little too much high end in the mix. Only thing my ears didn't like.
Wow they came a long way, never was my first pick, too tubby for me, I'm old enough to remember these being the "first hip hop monitors” but that high frequency thing is what i didn't like about the Yamahas either so that kinda threw me off when listening.
Presouns is what gave me my first ten years. One didn't come on one day.
I actually got some fives i got from my friend. I can work with them if necessary
But i also saw one catch fire in a studio session and had to put it out more than ten years ago.
These look tempting. I wish the screen wasn't on the back of the monitor wasting away like that
Lp-6 I'm good. They edged out my first pair by a lot

hello, the KRK R8 are good but there is a big problem: a constant hissing noise even when the XLR cables are not connected. It's really annoying and incomprehensible. There is nothing you can do, no device can take away this breath. You can reduce the db a bit to -10db but that doesn't fix a problem. It's in the low-end design and components. I was fooled, few people talk about this problem.

    • @shul5684
      @shul5684 Рік тому

Hiss is normal in all monitors. A lot of that has to do with electrical ground in your home or studio. If it's a hiss you have to pit your ear close to hear, then is normal. If you turn it on island is CRAZY hiss and you can absolutely tell right away, your unit might be defective, or your cables might be defective. Mine have that quiet hiss sound. You can only hear it when you lr ear is right on the tweeter. This is normal.

Hello, I bought rokits 8ki. The room is 20 squares, not acoustically prepared (no bass traps, diffusers, etc.) There are tiles on the floor, a bed, a wardrobe and a bedside table made of furniture. Also, a large window almost the entire wall looks out onto the balcony, the speakers are 2 meters from the wall. The problem is that there is no pressure in the sub bass 39-42Hz. Just silence from the speakers, but the speaker is moving. Is this a room or speaker issue?
P.S. I write bass music, and in principle I can monitor the middle with the top in headphones. I bought monitors to monitor sub bass and bass. I end up frustrated

monitors do not need to be flat to produce or mix on. You just have to understand the balance of your monitor, of which the bakance on these is adjustable. Use reference tracks...understand how your monitor produces sound. ...and understand your room, as the same speaker can sound completely different in a different room. some of the most famous mix engineers have used $10 computer speakers to mix on.
