Dear!! for the best yield of juice from fruits, you need to grind them as small as possible and put the resulting puree into the press. In your case, you can use a blender or a meat grinder. Good luck to you! and thanks for the video.
Original gravity should be 1080/1090 no more. Your original gravity was perfect. I use DAP ( yeast nutrients) this helps in faster fermentation and keeps yeast happy from start till end. Good to see this kiwi wine. I used to throw a lot of kiwi as i could never eat all of it after buying from supermarket. Now i dont throw anything. Anything left goes into my fermentator 🤪😂
At the second fermentation, don’t need to put extra yeast ? What if i put bentonite before start second fermentation to clear wine do i have to put extra yeast?
hi. my name is jigmee. excellent content. i wanted to ask, why did you not add water to the kiwi juice? because all recipes ive come across mention you to add water in substantial amount. Did you do it to add richness and flavour in your wine? Also what is the temperature where you live?
@@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato that would be the logical result. but i'm interested in producing it in large amounts perhaps even market it if things go well. This is because i have large hectares of land where kiwis can go grow abundantly. But even with so much produce it would be insufficient to create revenue. I am not an wine expert but from what you have told me i concur that less water seems to create more taste is that correct?
@Leo Mann i live in the himalayas. Not in the mountains but on the foothills of the himalayas where kiwis grow and are harvested during the winter which is problematic since it excruciatingly delayes the primary fermentation process. Could you suggest me some viable solution to my problem.
@Leo Mann sure. but the weather gods dont agree. its extremely cold here. dips to 1 to 2 degrees when the wine is undergoing primary fermentation and there minimal yeast activity, if not none at all. And that goes on for 1 or two months. Sorry if im rambling on but does this affect the quality of wine in any way? Your feedback would really be appreciated. Thank you very much.
I have a batch working now. about 10 days and fermenting very nice. But I have a question: how did your liquid become so clear. mine is only slightly lighter. How do I clear it up?

Andrea- you'll get a lot more juice from the kiwis or any other fruit if you freeze them and then thaw and press. Probably double the volume of juice for half the work. Salud!
