@@hampshirephoto Awesome to see your build taking shape! Still waiting for the invidia highflow dp with sportcat for the gti clubsport mk7 here. Plan is to combine the invidia with the current cobra sport catback into a custom turbo back! Then by spring use TVS for the dsg tune! (also thinking maby go Stage 2 then but havent fully decided yet) 🙂
A good old LSD...to obliterate the dreaded "Torque-Steer" and plant all that power to the tar. This combined with the already impressive 4WD, and Coilies, and you can fly round corners welded to the floor....7:52 To avoid "Flywheel" issues, install a "Solid Mass-Clutch Kit"....You'll never have flywhhel problems again....
Question: i have problem with back part of car. When goin straight back part sways left to right when pushing down all 360 hp and 462 tq i have on my gti clubsport. Would a better diffrential fix this as tires get better grip? The car is FWD only, so i suppose it dont..?
Thats one quick golf R. Wish you had me going off at 90 odd mph in front of you 🤣 looks effortlessly to drive. I was wrestling the s3 round the corners but what a mega track will definitely be back there!
@@michaelco2115 i see the haldex system not working properly... I have a 300hp old s3 and the back end kicks out in 2nd when it looses traction, his golf is spinning the front wheels
I have the same car but love the way yours sounds. I saw a video where installed a Cobra exhaust. Do you have that exhaust on in this video and what intake are you using as well? It has a nice induction note. Thanks!
have you got the haldex traction turned all the way up? Maybe since I don't have that much power, not sure why a LSD is needed given AWD. My S3 is 400hp and never short on grip.
@@hampshirephoto agreed my cars running 515bhp they stop her very well, looking into replacing my discs with some Reyland or another brand that isn't £620 😀😀
I have a stage 2 MK7.5 R and I have noticed the front end gets a little floaty on hard acceleration. Does the Wavetrac do anything to make it more planted?
Love your video. It would be great to see some result before and after with gps lap timer to compare the lap time but I can’t wait to see the rear diff upgrade video.
So you worked out power, suspesnsion and brakes. Awesome! May I suggest a couple more mods? -Bucket seats - will give you a much better driving position, enhance your confidence as a driver and to top it all off - weight reduction -Rear seat delete - reduce your weight further, and if you get a rear seat delete kit like Stern Preformance clubsport kit you will have a very practical boot to work with aswell. -Harness - tie yourself down properly in the bucket. Bouns mod: CAE Shifter!! Love the build! Love the videos! Keep up the good work luke :)
What brakes are you running exactly?? I'm on C Hook standard size discs all round, yellows stuff pads, braided lines and dot 5 but still find that brakes overheat anyway quite a lot. I'm quite aggressive on track with last second heavy breaking Your R runs dream!!! Keep it up! Great content
Thanks Rafal! It’s the Forge Motorsport 6 pot BBK (356mm discs with ceramic pads & braided lines & uprated fluid). Rear brakes are completely stock for now
@Harry - the MK7R hax 'XDS' which is software that slows down the freely spinning wheel, so drive can remain. That puts a lot of heat through the brake system, with the Wavetrac installed this can be turned off. The VAQ E-Diff is also still an open differential inside. On 2WD cars it actually uses a 4WD differential, as it has the spline on one side to drive the VAQ E-Diff which is mounted externally. The VAQ E-Diff is basically a haldex unit, and it works by locking the axle to the differential housing. Lots of customers, especially with higher power cars feel the VAQ E-diff struggles, so they install the Wavetrac to get a big performance boost!
Just throw this away and go for a true car. You'll learn 10000 times better on a cheaper catheram and you'll be waaay faster. Or, if you want to do the "car for views on YT" do it proprely, not with this boring golf.
Absolutely HAVING IT at Bedford, awesome to see you enjoying the car and the work we’ve done 🙌
It’s only just the beginning too 👀 Thanks again guys!

@@tredfxman maybe you have to replace youre rear bushes, the Ones you have at the Moment are probably gone, then upgrade with some polyuretan ones.
The cameras and video quality is..QUALITY! More to come
Did you disable xds?

😂😂 was good to meet you there mate!
The revs still seem to be flaring exiting slow speed/low gear turns. Is that wheel spin or clutch slip? Around 16:10 is a good example.
As mentioned in the video, it was a cold & sightly damp track, so grip wasn’t perfect. Plus I was running a set of pretty worn Cup 2’s
@@hampshirephoto wouldn’t expect it just to spin the unloaded wheels though. Perhaps the rear diff will help.

Awesome mod. I would be tempted. Manual Mk7 R owner here too
Awesome video mate! I love these upgrade videos of yours with a track day off the back to really show the improvements. Can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you buddy!! 👌🏻
No info about maintenance changes?
Jack Harlow works on cars? Sick ❤
Was this a front or rear differential install
so is this helical LSD but with some enhancements? 01755
Can you explain please what difference did you feel after installing Wavetrack? I was thinking of it for my Audi S3 8L
planning some Verkline front and rear subframes?
What oil did you use for the double clutch automatic dsg transmission with wqvetrac differential (6 speeds)?
When is the rear lsd coming out for the haldex
How much would this mod roughly cost ?
Can we put this up against the VRS 600bhp cupra!
Sounds fun
What isn't clear here is if you got a discount or free work done for promoting them? Always makes a difference to having impartiality

Look's like a right blast, going to be getting an LSD fitted to my 140 this year and as you know that will transform the car. Good video Luke
An LSD on an M140i makes a huge difference, 100% worth it!
Brill video, excellent choice of upgrades. Do you have short shift if so which make?
Thanks Paul! Yes I do, it’s from Forge
How are you finding the brakes? I run the same set up as you but they don't last very long, discs are a fortune too compared to other brands
Genuinely love the BBK - this track day finished off the pads, but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the setup to anyone

A golf R doesn't come with an LSD from factory?
Should be the first mod on GTI or the R ( Wavetrac specifically)
