Hopefully 100 mbps will be enough.
Actually, updating is still required. Found this out today trying to play World of Tanks. After trying to connect for about 30 minutes, I contacted GeforceNow support, and they said the GN server I was connected to needed it's software updated in order to connect to the WoT server. They said it would be around 10 minutes to update, and sure enough it was fixed in 10 minutes. I see this being an issue in the future however.
As someone living in the Netherlands (glass fibre and close to the server) its literally better then owning a game pc, on my xps 15 laptop its 60 fps 1050p at max graphics for any game with latency unnoticeable. The one hour free gaming can really show if its for you. Also games do get added and they listen n look at game suggestions
just the heads up: at least in BETA you could play almost every game not those 400 advertised, you just needed to login from your steam/battlenet/epic store (idk about rockstar or Bethesda) and just download the game you wanted from there their servers were rly fast internet so the download for the game wont take long... but you needed to do this every time if wanted to play unsupported game.
I was a little kid using my mom’s laptop with a wireless mouse, and I wanted to play tf2. I found out what GeForce is, and it was actually amazing. I still use it to this day. There’s only few hiccups. 9/10
I am a shadow Cloud PC owner and had to join the founders member tier of Nvidia Gforce now too as I do see that cloud gaming is the future of gaming and will come into its own when we have 5G mobile Internet and VR syncronicity (I already play Asgard's Wrath and Stormland on my Oculus Quest using Shadow Cloud PC, Virtual Desktop, Shadows android app and the quest connected to my Samsung Galaxy Note 9's Personal wifi hotspot totally wireless) Not too far away from the Oasis.
Critique what you want, I love GFN and just signed up for the Founders package. It can have its flaws at peak hours, but for 6 euro a month I can play all my games - on a Surface Pro - at highest settings, even competitive FPS. My favorite gaming product.
Feels weird as destiny 2 involving with new platform while the game needs so many fixes right now, as we are having roll back + 6hr+ fixing two weeks in a roll now.
The fact i can play apex and destiny on my phone with a controller is extremely fun as i can't afford a current gen system or pc. It may not always be the smoothest but its still great.
I was really hoping you guys didn't make a video on it, I have been using GeForce Now for two years now, and after this video I have to wait at least an hour or two just to play my game because of the amount of players.
The problem is that a lot of us who can afford a super fast internet connection, can also afford a gaming pc anyway. This service works near flawlessly for me even over WiFi. Especially with the direct mouse input.
I'm GFN user for more than 8 months and i love it so far. I have a 10 year old PC with Nvidia GTS 250 and i'm so happy that i was able to play new titles like AC: Odyssey and Witcher 3. All this without any lag or high latency. I like it because i can play the games i already have on Steam
I tried it here in Sweden. And i like it, did a bit of doom and diablo 3 on my w10 laptop. Tried it on my chromebook but i couldnt get it to work on the chromebook. But on the w10 laptop it worked fine. I got a new character from lvl 1 to lvl 70 in Diablo only playing on geforce now free version so it works alright :)
I've finished Batman Arkham Knight, Watch Dogs 2 and AC Origins, all maxed out on Geforce Now..Now I'm playing Yakuza 0..it is a fun service, but they removed a lot of games now, I don't know if it will last, maybe I'll keep it to play Cyberpunk.
I would score this much higher. I started using it last week because my gaming pc is well...it needs to be put in retirement basically. I can't afford a new pc at the moment so, when I heard about this, I decided to give is a test drive. Most of my games were available and if I wanted to play a game I didn't own, I was redirected to my Steam to purchase it. To see if it was truly a cloud-based service. I uninstalled all the games from my pc. I was very impressed with how well it played and to be fair, my wi-fi is pretty spectacular. I played all my games on the highest graphics settings which is something I haven't been able to do in 3 years and experienced zero latency. I then decided to pull out my 10-year old iMac from the box and I fell out of my chair at how awesome it was on this machine as well and again, zero-latency issues. I was sold and signed up for a subscription. I can now save up more money to buy my dream super duper gaming rig. I recommend it for sure IF your internet service is reliable and you have the required speeds. If you don't, try it for free first.
GeForce Now might honestly be the perfect thing for many people that has the internet speed, but lacks the hardware to play stuff. Like me. And it's a ton cheaper than buying a real pc too
Damn, you shouldn’t drop it’s score because of your internet connection. My kids broke my PC. So this awesome, I can still play my games from steam on a basic PC.
Never tried stadia, but it runs better than PS Now when using a PC. Believe it or not, you can't just use any computer for Cloud Gaming services. The video codecs used for these services are much more CPU intensive; however, Geforce Now actually works on my budget Lenovo laptop I bought back in 2015 with an AMD A8-6410 CPU. On PS Now, CPU usage jumps to 100% and the video and audio stutter and distort. Doesn't matter what connection I'm on. I tried the service on a couple of desktops that were more powerful and didn't have those issues and of course it worked fine on my PS4. I'll probably just toy around with it until the trial expires because I have a gaming PC and I don't really game on the go.
I recently picked Kingdom Come Deliverance and AC Syndicate up for free off Epic, and I know they won't run on my laptop alone. When I mentioned this, someone suggested I look into Geforce, so now I am genuinely interested.
So everything is great about the service except the thing they can't control (the internet).
But that is the equivalent of releasing the game that can only play on min specs on a GTX Titan. It the job of the developer to makes sure the service caters to infrastructure of the wider audience, not that the audience caters to what the service requires.

Dude that beard doesnt get rid of cauliflower ears!
bro i have a question if u buy and download something from like epic games and it dosent launch will it work in geforce go?
Also games do get added and they listen n look at game suggestions
just the heads up: at least in BETA you could play almost every game not those 400 advertised, you just needed to login from your steam/battlenet/epic store (idk about rockstar or Bethesda) and just download the game you wanted from there their servers were rly fast internet so the download for the game wont take long... but you needed to do this every time if wanted to play unsupported game.
aman joo they shut that option down after a while. In August or so.
I was a little kid using my mom’s laptop with a wireless mouse, and I wanted to play tf2. I found out what GeForce is, and it was actually amazing. I still use it to this day. There’s only few hiccups. 9/10
I played Destiny 2 on the bus. No delay/lags.
10/10 for me.
If what you did is considered moderately ideal, I am having trouble finding a market for this right now.
So what happens if you reach more than the 1 -hour limit in the Free membership?
Damn day before I found out about this downloaded it and today this is in my recommendations
Any word when will it be available in India?
I am a shadow Cloud PC owner and had to join the founders member tier of Nvidia Gforce now too as I do see that cloud gaming is the future of gaming and will come into its own when we have 5G mobile Internet and VR syncronicity (I already play Asgard's Wrath and Stormland on my Oculus Quest using Shadow Cloud PC, Virtual Desktop, Shadows android app and the quest connected to my Samsung Galaxy Note 9's Personal wifi hotspot totally wireless) Not too far away from the Oasis.
GeForce NOW made me upgrade my internet but I love how I can play games on max settings over stream on a silent Dell 9020.
Wow, I installed it on my Dell Inspiron and I get 720p 30fps on all games. My internet isn't the best. This service is insane.
The service is fantastic but I felt like the graphics quality even at 1080p looked like 720p, kinda blurry
I really liked playing Tem Tem on my phone with my ps4 controller.
same here but with a xbox one controller over 4G
When will it be supported on chrome books ?
I wonder what are the computer specs at the Nvidia GeForce now facility ?
The fact i can play apex and destiny on my phone with a controller is extremely fun as i can't afford a current gen system or pc. It may not always be the smoothest but its still great.
Does this mean we would be able to play RTX minecraft without the 20 series gpus?
i still wonder what the input lag is and how it would effect playing fps and such
I'm absolutely loving it. I'm also subscribed to Shadow PC. Between the two, I'm set for next gen for a combined 18 bucks a month.
Is NBA 2K16 on GeForce?
Put subtitles to your videos IGN, common I’ve never seen a single video with any subtitles, EVER, is it hard to do?
Yes
I was really hoping you guys didn't make a video on it, I have been using GeForce Now for two years now, and after this video I have to wait at least an hour or two just to play my game because of the amount of players.
I have a top of the line pc but like to play games on the go via Android. Have not had any issues playing over LTE though launching a game is slow.
Its so frustrating to see my favorite games get removed off of Geforce now
You can play ANY game on it. Just run the steam app and login
but i have one questions, can it run windows only game to Macbook?
I'd be behind this is there wasn't a limit on the playtime. That's kind of ridiculous
After being in the wait list in 2018 November, I just got it today
Welp there goes the MHWI experiment for me on Geforce now
I just want monster hunter and DMC 5 back
Well you could play the games from your existing libraries but what about mods?
Does the ipega pg 9099 gamepad work with geforce now?
Those cloud gaming services need star link for user perhaps
2024 review? really considering buying this.
I own quake 2 on steam but there is no way to play the full version of the game with rtx, only the demo
Why does this guy stand and gesture like Phil Spencer at E3
Can someone explain the "1 hour limit" thing? Does this mean you only get to play your games for one hour at a time a day? Or what?
I recently picked Kingdom Come Deliverance and AC Syndicate up for free off Epic, and I know they won't run on my laptop alone. When I mentioned this, someone suggested I look into Geforce, so now I am genuinely interested.
