    A question for Simon.
As humans, when we are born, we all enter our world naturally. The question is why in the human psyche as we develop do we break the bond of trust with fellow humans, and how can our world counter the effect? Best Tracey

This is what I believe in; If you have an intention to add value, trust the universe and take massive daily action on something you are passionate about, you will be rewarded. This is what pushed me into starting my youtube channel. And even though not many watch me I trust that my efforts will be rewarded one day if I keep pushing forward. 🌟🍀

What about people who can’t stick to a single career or have too many interests find their WHY? ( from Pakistan)

    • @shift5534
      @shift5534 4 роки тому

All your interests are based on your Why. If you have more than one interest to express it through, that is not a bad thing at all. Take an artist, for example, who does several different forms of art. They can then use all of them to convey their message, just in different ways. Or an entrepreneur, who can create many different products, or even companies, all in service to their Why.
Finding, knowing, and then living in balance with your Why will always be a tremendous asset, no matter what you do. Or how much of it.

    Hey Simon's team,
I just re-watched this video in anticipation of today's part 2; and the 8 seconds from 25:33 really did hit me: can you please add to Simon's to-do list 1) having kids of his own, and 2) writing a parenting book! Not necessarily in that order.

Playing catch-up...agree that generally, aspirations are a destination and inspiration comes from within. Though typically separate, I think of the rare instances like Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech or President Kennedy's moon speech as being both aspirational and inspirational. Thanks for the open discussion.

It's uncertain times for most if not all of us and my biggest take away from this first session (btw can't wait for part two!) is to be one certain thing to people I want to lead. Even though we cannot know for sure how things gonna turn out. To be certain of that holds the organization I am working in together.

Do you know one big difference between PC and Mac users is the PC users are usually gamers and Mac users are usually non-gamers. That is some thing that bothered me listening to your book on audio book. When I was in school the schools always had mackintosh computers, so I thought having a Dell computer was cool especially because I could play games on the computer and the Macintosh computers in school you can play games on them. Not to mention the real innovation of the speed of the processing units of the PC are just so different from Macintosh computers. Oh of course PCs are not just limited to Dell and Hewlett-Packard; there are also Sony VAIO‘s and Toshiba‘s and the all time gaming envy of all PCs Alienware! I would like to see a fight between an Alienware person and a Mac person! I remember when I was so excited with my new pretty gaming friendly HP laptop and I asked my friend it was
Fairly excited about her new Mac book if she could play any of the games I could play on my new HP. She said no and then she got sad! She then told me it was very nice how much she liked her Mac book.I told her if you can’t play games on it it’s not a very good computer.

I became aware of Simon's work during 2019 when a colleague mentioned his "Start with Why" book. It piqued my interest because I had believed in the concept of "answering the question why" being important for years. And the fact that someone had written a book about it really excited me. I was then led to Simon's fantastic TED talk on how great leaders inspire. And the rest is history. Since then I have refocused my professional approach to mirror the concepts. And just today, during a telework session, I stumbled across the book club sessions. Thank you Simon, you are indeed inspiring.

Sometimes we choose a WHY and begin to act on it. But on the way we get to know that our WHY was wrong needing it to be changed... My question is:
Should we complete that task with a wrong WHY and then change it with a new WHY. Or we should immediately step back from that task and get to the new WHY?
Plz plz plz ans this question...

It moves my life into purposeful action to recognize I am moved to offer others the tools to make their lives meaningful. For instance, we all need to recognize where we come from and wether we like it or nor our history is fundation of who we are. Starting from this premise, we build our lives with purpose identifying the kind of life we want to live from then on. THank you for what you do and share. I am staring the Book Club with Start with Why with my childrem (20 & 13 yo) - who are better than our children to share this jewel of content with. We read regurlarly as a "Read a book a week challenge" as a family. We will be sharing our questions for next LIVE session. Thank you

    Starat with why
    Air BNB

Ask someone you're interviewing or who is interviewing you, "Do you love your job?" "What matters most to the executives?"
Human beings are very adaptable, even for very harsh conditions. What we're bad at is trying to handle uncertainty.
To find out why, ask what, "What were you doing that brought you home late?" Asking why can often be interpreted as a criticism.
During the CoVID19 crises, some companies are doubling down on what they used to do, and others are circling back to their why.
You don't have to learn your why if you don't want to, don't twist someone's arm to do so.
