- Crane salvage of a boat blown ashore and damaged in Hurricane Ian. This Mainship 34 Mach2 single screw diesel sport fish was washed ashore in the tidal surge of the storm and has been laying on its side with a hole in it since the devastating storm over 2 months ago that ravaged Fort Myers, Cape Coral and the rest of Southwest Florida.
I was lucky to save my boat. This owner wasn’t so lucky.
Looks quite sea worthy 💁Just a bit of fibre glass over the hole and ready to go 😁
I guess they were the cheapest bidder ! What a disaster!
That was a disaster of a boat lift. Obviously they had little to no experience.
That was a terrible recovery. Nothing like damaging it more.
You can buy it for $1500!
Since it was already written off, that would explain the less than stellar recovery.
My god, this must be their first time ever doing this. What a shame.
All I can say is WTF ?? Those guys are really lucky that didn't go terribly wrong 😳...not to mention if the hull wasn't screwed is probably is now !! Damn....
Thats was soooo close to being very bad. That setup has no business doing boat recoverys like that. Straight up cowboys.
@@jaysom2240 Are you saying you are not a fan of their construction flip flops?
Hurts to watch, thinking about all you guys affected by Ian. Hopefully things can get back to normal as soon as possible.
What a shame that looks so fixable , I always heard if it floats its worth saving , I hurt for all of you down there with all the loss and destruction .
That was sooo sketchy. Super hard to watch that.
I'm not safety Bob here but the guy in flip flops.....wow. Looks like a different crew than your boat
Yea different crew
That boat was too much for that machine
I sure love your videos my friend. Big fan of the Meridians
That’s only 25 ton rt grove lucky the hole thing didn’t go in the water
They caused more damage then the storm did!
Once the boat is totaled they often beat them up dragging them to water.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs Not the professional guys. This rag tag crew were too lazy to reposition the barge. Single spud, yet too much work to reposition ffs. They're probably from the East Coast, West Palm Beach or somesuch. Hey, I heard there's a lot of NY'ers over there. Retired government workers like "police heros" and fire heros from NY. Maybe you should look around over there.....
I’m good where I am. Crane crew were from the panhandle.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs figures... crazy Crackers! 😅
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs just letting you know... maybe someone from NY is watching and mistakenly think that SW Florida is a good place for them. SW Florida is home for the good mid-westerners for the most part. While Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach is for the NY'ers. Tampa also, younger crowd, pushy and rude, driving like crazed morons, disrespectful and damaged, NY'ers, east coast people.
Heads up , never hire these guys unless you want more damage
seems these recovery companies are doing more damage to the boats than the hurricane did.. why dont they have the proper cranes/barges to LIFT the boats up???
I think once they are totaled, they don’t worry so much.
Seems like Boat US did a great job. I get nervous when the travel left takes my boat out of the water in the fall and in the spring
Hopefully it can be salvaged. At least they didn't break out the chainsaws.
It was a total loss prior to recovery
Not enough barge nor crane for the job
Seems a shame total it, maybe somebody can buy it from salvage. Mainship 34 Mach 2 is a good solid boat. I have a 34 Mach 1 and have spent a lot of time and money to upgrade to a great boat for the loop or Bahamas
I wasn’t sure what kind of boat it was. Is that it? Mainship 34 mach2?
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs Yes I have a Mach 1 great boat if you have the time and money to upgrade it.
I assume you sign something saying the salvage company is not responsible for any damage they cause during lift?
Not sure what the fine print is.
That boat was totaled ? Why ? For one hole up high !
Yeah I was surprised. It’s an older boat though
Well... the salvage crew made sure that it was totaled! 🤥
Man when that barge came up and I seen that crane I was like know way in hell its gonna pick it up...I was sort right that boat is right there at the cranes limit personally in my opion they shouldn't have even attempted to pick it up riden that line of it being just about to heavy and not being able to properly maneuver it is stupid on that operators part he might get it done but he will cause unnecessary damage.
What a shame!,,
Redneck Salvage Company Inc. they had no clue. OSHA would not approve the flip flops.
... yeah I saw them too, REALLY GUYS!
Yeah not cool. At least boat shoes!
They also wouldn't approve of walking between the boat and filet table either. Would have been a bad day if those straps let loose at that moment.
Not Sea Tow for sure
Anyone else notice the back wheels are off the top of the barge?
All the wheels are off. The outriggers are supporting the crane, not the wheels.
This is a train wreck waiting to happen. How was this allowed to go on - the boat and the properties are far more damaged because of the salvage crew. The size of that crane and the rigging was three stooges like. Someone's gonna die when that rigging fails. Wow
Amateur hour
Do you ever fish out the back of your yard ?
Yes sir. Only a couple times. I see sheepshead all the time.
Did the salvage crews tell you that N.Y'ers are better suited over in Broward county? With all the israeli's and NY, NJ people?
Boat people!!!! Don't get it
Minimal repairs to that boat.
Atsa my boat. Is it for sale?
It’s a salvage now. Insurance company owns it.
Yeah, prob. auctioned off sometime in the future.
when you include captioning you'll get more likes until then not from me, am deaf⚓
Turn on closed captioning. The UA-cam app has the feature embedded. It’s not perfect but saves me time in my one person editing team to get this content out as timely as possible. Click the CC toggle on the video window. Thanks for watching.
Sorry but very inexperienced Rear always to the crane if you can, thats where most of the weight is. Wow their lucky because this could have really been worse.
Got too say it was cringe ASF watching that so called salvage recovery crew.
Those guys are a joke...
wow thats a worthless operator in that lift... thats NOT how you do it.
Man, this crew sucked compared to the guys you used on your boat
Watching these videos, pretty much everyone shooting the videos sounds like the are from New Jersey or New York.
