I sold a couple properties in 2020 and I'm waiting for a house crash to happen so I buy cheap. In the meanwhile, I've been looking at stocks as an alt., any idea if it's a good time to buy? I hear people say it's a madhouse and a dead cat bounce right now but on the other hand, I still see and read articles of people pulling over $225k by the weeks in trades, how come?
it depends on your exit and entry strategy, most folks are used to a bull market and can't handle a crash, but if you know how to navigate and where to look, you'll make a killing.

POWERFUL! So many 💎’s. But one I caught that people may let slip pass is when he said you can’t motivate kids who didn’t grow up economically challenged with money. They need purpose. As more and more of us achieve success our kids are not growing up economically challenged so the key is to give them a purpose and motivate them with that. So many rich kids and suburban kids grow up with no drive. We want them to be go getters but it’s not in them. He gave the answer. You have to give them purpose.

Im now VP of Development and Construction for an acquisitions firm in Miami. He may build the tallest in NYC but I will build the best ever in Miami and Im black too. I love this guy

As a Korean American real estate professional who comes from a family of poverty and no real estate ownership in my family, I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this interview after listening to Brandon Rule speak so highly of Don Peebles. So much knowledge that’s applicable in this interview. If I can share, my goal is to establish my personal real estate portfolio through Multifamily investing to then provide the blueprint to others who also come from nothing but have the burning desire to build a life full of purpose. I believe the most of us have the innate calling to help and provide for others but aren’t able to because of our own lack in resources, especially the financial. The rat race keeps us worrying about a lot of issues that can be alleviated by leveraging capital. There’s no voice in the Asian community that speaks with such economical and social prowess to the magnitude Don Peebles speaks with. I love how his business ventures are rooted in fundamental economics but with a social component to provide opportunity to the disadvantaged. Many people in the Asian community are business savvy but only care about their and their family’s personal gain. I aim to change that but until then Don Peebles, you are my North Star sir. I read his book and tried to go to his office in Miami a few months later in 2020 with a check for 5k for an hour meeting to consult on a deal I had under contract and the office had moved to NYC. Great episode and great book by Mr. Peebles.

So many great gems💎 I’ve been in commercial real estate brokerage for 18 years now and have only met a handful of successful black developers. Developers provide opportunities for so many other roles in the business (brokers, lenders, architects, engineers, GC’s, etc.) and we need more black developers.

His poise, knowledge of the challenges we as a people face “running up hill” combined with his intelligence not only of real estate 🏡 Developmemt, but also raising capital and POLITICS seems to be unmatched from what I gathered in that short time. The question for Mr. Peebles is “when may we be able to call you President Peebles?”
As a Korean American real estate professional who comes from a family of poverty and no real estate ownership in my family, I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this interview after listening to Brandon Rule speak so highly of Don Peebles. So much knowledge that’s applicable in this interview. If I can share, my goal is to establish my personal real estate portfolio through Multifamily investing to then provide the blueprint to others who also come from nothing but have the burning desire to build a life full of purpose. I believe the most of us have the innate calling to help and provide for others but aren’t able to because of our own lack in resources, especially the financial. The rat race keeps us worrying about a lot of issues that can be alleviated by leveraging capital.
There’s no voice in the Asian community that speaks with such economical and social prowess to the magnitude Don Peebles speaks with. I love how his business ventures are rooted in fundamental economics but with a social component to provide opportunity to the disadvantaged. Many people in the Asian community are business savvy but only care about their and their family’s personal gain. I aim to change that but until then Don Peebles, you are my North Star sir.
If there’s any way I can be a part of this movement, I’m down. And if there’s any others out there who are also looking to be the one who changes course of poverty for their friends, family’s, and community’s, I’d love to connect with you as well.

Great interview! 🔥 First time I heard of Don Peebles is when I was listening to Nipsey’s Victory Lap - Million While You Young…The intro of that song is an interview with Don Peebles…Did some research on him and bought his audiobook The Peebles Principles…smart dude right here!

I read his book and tried to go to his office in Miami a few months later in 2020 with a check for 5k for an hour meeting to consult on a deal I had under contract and the office had moved to NYC. Great episode and great book by Mr. Peebles.

So many great gems💎 I’ve been in commercial real estate brokerage for 18 years now and have only met a handful of successful black developers. Developers provide opportunities for so many other roles in the business (brokers, lenders, architects, engineers, GC’s, etc.) and we need more black developers.

I met him in DC at the Congressional Black Caucus. He was the Chair of the CBC Foundation. I’m on the board of the MD Black Caucus Foundation. I read his book and taught the principles and use them.
