Verstappen’s save is still so incredibly cool to see
He did another amazing save at 1:31, behind Kimi
He let the brake off just at the right time
Yea coming here just to see that 😂

Should be named "2016 Brazilian Grand Prix: Verstappen Highlights"
@Alan Ali 11 not really as Lewis got underappreciated in this race(to other Max fans, don't freak out I'm a Max fan myself)
@Alan Ali 11 Verstappen outclassed the field this day
He did not outclass Hamilton ; -)
joshua oh but he did. A lot of this race was done under safety car. At the end max was lapping almost 2 seconds faster than Hamilton. He finished the race about 25 second behind Hamilton. If the race was a bit longer he would have passed Hamilton which is crazy to think considering how far back he fell
@Alan Ali 11 ikr all the hype went to Max who spun a couple of times and almost crashed while the real man of the race was Lewis how comfortably led every single lap without doing any mistake, he even said it was one of the easiest victories in his career
Almost had a heart attack thinking I've actually missed a race
We wish 😂
Me too lol

Max Verstappen has got to be the king of saves. Germany 2019 is another
While I completely agree with that statement, Germant is not a good example. That was really lucky especially considering the massive sausage curb he spun over did no damage to the floor
The one that most people don't know adout is verstappen 2014 practice in interlagos
Brazil 2016 is an epic save but if Germany 2019 is considered a save then Vettel has been doing quite a lot of epic saves lately.
A better example is Him at China in 2017
Friedo Flache 2014 Japan 🇯🇵 as well. You can see Vergnes reaction as well
The best thing is that this race will always be remembered as the race that Verstappen went from 16 to 3rd instead of a Hamilton win
And rightly so, with that unbeatable car on rails even in the wet the 'win' means nothing... even a guy that's normally bad in the wet Rosberg easily finished 2nd, the real drive was Verstappen who is now THE BEST driver in F1 and this race showed why.
@@1010thechamp
In one sentence, you managed to praise a driver for being a great wet weather driver, to denying another driver of the same feat because apparently it's all down to the car. 🤦🏿♂️
@@peterporkeresq.2817 Name me one time Hamilton has come from 16th to the podium in wet conditions, despite not even having the fastest car on the grid. At the age of 18 by the way......
@@footballnerd277 when Lewis was 18 , he won 15 out of 20 races in a spec series
@@footballnerd277 stick to football lad
I love how Max just didn't dodge Kimi's car but also dodged his broken wing. Mad skills
Timestamp??
2:22 The best part of the race what confidence he has man I have watched this more than 1000 times now can’t get over it
he goes off the main line and sends it on the outside at double the speed. literally insane
Max Verstappen reminded me a lot of Ayrton Senna driving in the rain. Eternal Senna. Thank you Max.
That's just disrespectful to Senna
@Jose Andres QUEZADA RAMSEY 🧢
@@NJ0711 How exactly?
@@NJ0711 how??
@@NJ0711 how? even senna’s old teammate stated max reminded him of senna
Look at those new animations we haven’t got to see yet because there’s no F1 on TV. :(
Oh my sweet little boy... just time travel a few months
Everyone else:traction control off
Max Verstappen:Traction control on
He always has TCS turned on though.
Watching the crazy lines Verstappen took during this race made me a fan forever🔥🔥
Hamilton and Verstappen were clearly on another level.
Yeah, unfortunately they couldn’t battle.. by the time VER overtook RAI en ROS. HAM was already way ahead in his Mercedes.. :/
And look where we are in 2021 ;)
Hamilton had a massive car advantage, that was the different level...
@@1010thechamp Doesn't matter when it's raining crazy. The driver makes the difference in the wet.
@@isaacm2374 Yeah sure drivers make a bigger difference in the wet BUT the car also matters, a car that doesn't work in the wet no driver will make that much of a difference, I'll give you an example, go back and watch Korea 2010, watch how the same Hamilton got absolutely destroyed in the soaking wet, why is that? Why couldn't he make the difference when he could in Brazil 2016 and other wet races? Also watch the first half of Turkey 2020, you think Lance Stroll is a awesome wet weather driver? Or is it because the 'Pink Mercedes' was working perfectly before the track dried slightly and it was out of the car and its tyre's working window then all of a sudden from leading by a mile to being back in the midfield... Sure the driver can make some difference but the car is still the main factor here.
f1 actually in love with the brazilian gp
True 😂
Who cannot love that track
Best track, most action races
shit so am I.. Interlagos never dissapoints
Man, it’s a short track. I stay in the sector A and I can ser all the track but the Senna’s S. It’s unique.
Massa's walk down the pit was an eye moistener. Top work for all those years fella. Top work.
I remember Ayrton Senna a Legendary wet driver and no one since then until Max done it 2016. He is new born Ayrton Senna....and today he is world champion...New legend made in Netherland....
I recommend you to watch Schumacher Spain 1996. In my opinion more impressive than what Verstappen did 2016 in Brazil, especially when we look at how abysmal his Ferrari was in that year.
Crazy dickeating
Then you didn't watch F1 in 1996 and 2008.😂
4:14 First time I saw this I thought he was defying physiscs
Me too bro, i was wondering how did that happen without spun
More coverage of this race on UA-cam now than there was at the time
Now it's liberty media, then it was all Bernie
If the race had been 76 laps or something like that, without a doubt Max would finish second and even first. What a masterclaas of driving wet condition bruh
Verstappen and Hamilton were on a different level that day. Verstappen overtaking 2 thirds of the field in the last 15 laps for a podium was truly spectacular, and Hamilton quite possibly would have lapped the field were it not for the safety cars and red flags.
Hamilton was always going to win
If Verstappen picked another set of full wet tyres instead of intermediate, he would probably catch up Rosberg and maybe even Hamilton.
The moment when cameras were focused on Massa just made me sad ! That's not the way he wanted to stop finish the race but that's it... very emotional
What a not typical race, crazy
well he raced the next season
@@TheTororist Oh really ? Ok I thought it was his last race
@@emilienp6942 it was meant to be, but williams rehired him for the 2017 season after nico rosbergs abrupt retirement which meant bottas moved to merc.
@@TheTororist ooohhh ok ! Thanks for the explanation 😊
Ohh ye it was, from a huge Massa fan, but then it was all for nothing because he resigned because Williams only had a replacement for him not Bottas after Rosberg unexpectedly retired and Mercedes hired Valtteri and took home an amazing race in 2017, finishing P6 with a team radio that made me cry this time
After seeing the race and highlights multiple times over the years i actually think Max's best move of that day was dodging Kimi when he crashed without binning it himself.
Verstappen's save is one of the best in the century!
It's going down in history. Beauty
The one of Alonso at brazil 2012
1:41 dude that was close
It would have a been a disaster.
I feel like if cars are spinning like that, the race should be red flagged
What speed you reckon the passing car was doing?
@Alan Ali 11 mate it was raining, a lot lower stupid boy
it’s part of culture now to watch this masterpiece once in a while
Amazing drive by Max
He also took the fastest lap if I remember correctly.
Every Verstappen fan watching this video:
Ah shit here we go again........
Yes!! Keep doing this. Keep adding new highlights from past races and make them look like today’s highlights.
I am happy:)
@@Andre-sh2wd no. Genuinely happy. I grief that no races happening and i appreciate F1 effort in keeping fans entertained.
Nothing wrong in watching former races.
No. Hate the new graphics with a passion.
POV : you are watching this video during the Belgium 2021 GP
Yes
Don’t mind me, just watching what we used to do when it rained during the red flag at Suzuka
same here
I will always remebr this race, I thought max might could be something special someday but this race was the one I knew for sure, just like when I saw Micheal and Senna and just knew. Max will be a world champion many times before his career is done.

Highlights don’t do this race justice, it was just awesome to watch
Now that was a truly great drive from Verstappen
The grip and speed max gets on the outside then over takes nico is just amazing
Kimi's crash here goes someway to explaining why we didn't race yesterday. Imagine a crash like that on lap 1 at Radillion or Eau Rouge in conditions like this.
It nearly ended bad here also, that manor came very close to smashing into it
absolutely loving what F1 is doing with these old races and virtual ones!! Keep up the great work! love these!
Thanks a heap for posting the full race. Was great to watch
Thank you F1/Liberty Media to help up get through these times. Much appreciated.
Im thankful that you are providing us with the races and highlights in this time. I normally watch formula 1 in free tv but now i will make an f1 tv Abonnement. Thank you guys and stay healthy :)
4:26 who could have guessed these two would be teammates one day?
Ok. Verstappen just went *SENNA*
I find it amazing that these guys can drive in this kind of rain !!
There wasn't that much, to be honest. It was just incessant, but not so strong. I know 'cause I was there.
People saying that everyone could finish on the podium in the RB18 and that it isn’t also thanks to Max his enormous talent really have to watch this race in full again.
The conditions were worse then at the 2021 Belgian Gp.
Exactly what I thought
But unlike Spa there are actually runoff areas at Interlagos
But Spa is more dangerous than Interlagos, don't you think?

Being a huge max fan. We gotta admire Lewis on how he drove without making a single mistake whilst everyone was spinning out. Even max even tho he saved it
lewis' mind was set on winning. he knew how close rosberg was to winning the championship by this point. (If lewis hadn't have won this race then rosberg would have been crowned champion in brazil)
One of the best overtakes of all time and they absolutely botched the commentary on it.
What a race
Can't remember what I thought of it because I was 8 at the time but this was a classic
1:40 seeing a manor come towards you out of the spray at 180mph is so scary
Was verstappen fan before... But this race... You cant find the words..
Hamilton's first win at Interlagos? Nah, Verstappen finding grip where he shouldn't was more impressive

Incredible performance by Max
BEST RACE
So weird now to see the cars without halo. Crazy race!
It was already clear that Max already has the Attitude to became a Champion
2:09 goosebumps seeing this, just like how Senna overtook Wendlinger around the outside in Donington 1993
The Verstappen race I enjoyed the most (ok 2021 AD). This is Verstappen and Brazil fans, awesome hommage (Senna) to F1 racing.
One of the best races of the decade
They must be having some nice aquadynamics
My love an f1 my brazil
I love how they realeased this video (and some more) through the weekend as if we were on the actual race weekend for this GP 🤣.
Great job and thank you very much for this full race upload guys.
2:28 9 out of 10 would've collected Max on the outside apex
999 out of 1000! Jaw dropping save it's not just the final catch to avoid the barrier it's also the original spin where he was turned 90 degrees to the camera...great stuff. There were a lot of quality recoveries during this race that barely even got a mention but that one takes the prize.
Rossberg be like "IS MASSA's CAREER OVER?!"
