Always make me laugh the Jami's friend who turn back the head like "and for that I'm still single" XDXD
I was afraid of Jamie at this one point. However, I saw his perspective. Its not an unrealistic character that will do heroic stuff without any fear of death. Jamie was very much a realistic person, who went so far for saving his wife, despite his fear of death or worse. He was angry at her because this kind of trouble was uncalled for. He almost died saving her, along with his friends. The danger was real. And so it was only relatable that he would be angry at her. Claire acting like nothing happened, or she did nothing wrong, was seriously infuriating.
Aye, cu'dna agree more. Lol sorry couldnt help it. Love this scene. Its a fresh take on the usual damsel in distress rescue ops where the damsel is all "Oh thank you kind sir" after the rescue. Claire really stretched Jaimie's patience on this one, loved it!!
If I would be Jamie I would send her back to the future immediately after realizing the truth. It was a big mistake to maintain their relationship for both sides
Claire is aggravating there, but then she got raped hours ago and simply wanted to get back to her home, husband, running hot & cold water and a functioning police force.
And it's really one of the things that makes this show works: that both of them have good reasons for the views, but they don't sit down rationally and hash it out - they are both frightened and p***ed off, and yell at each other.
yes and he was scared for her life as well. Alot of men take their fear and turn it into anger.
She didn't care because the way she saw it, she married someone she didn't want to and when opportunity struck, she fled to the stones to try and get home. She was naïve about the danger and what they went through to get her. I can understand from both point of views.
This is the best piece of on Screen fighting I have ever witnessed in a long career of movie going, wouldn’t like to have gotten between them in that take, they were definitely in the zone, Magnificent Acting! More than Emmy worthy!
You can’t exclude the ending of his scene, for heaven’s sake!
I both hate and love this scene. It was the first time that Jamie and Claire was fighting. And I find it very hard to watch. After this fight, Jamie "punished" Claire. And it only got worse after that, until Jamie swore to never hit her again. After that they became the perfect couple.
So get a good couple there has to be a fight

I was with Claire up to 2:03 and then I thought 'Ok fair enough, just maybe leave him alone now' Jamie was clearly trying to tone it down and she kept going until they both escalated. This scene is brilliant and very realistic I think in showing how unreasonable and kind of crazy love can make you behave.
I thought it was only me, i don't think people liked my comment. I sided with Jamie.
Love doesn't make you act crazy and unreasonable, that's passion.

I love this scene. I think this is one of those scenes that they are arguing yet later become closer to each other.
My favorite fellas in the background being respectful and giving them space. I miss those guys so much 😩😩😩💔 on a lighter note though I can totally see the horses getting spooked by the commotion like they said they did in of the old bts interviews lol they went all out in this scene a reaction - by someone or something - was inevitable, I guess.
Looks like a real marriage. Thank goodness it's not too perfect.
Fantastic, heartwrenching scene. Amazing acting from both of them and the conflict between them feels so real and raw. You sympathise with both of them. Then their reconciliation afterwards is all the sweeter for the depth of hurt and anguish that preceded it.

I thought Claire was way over the top - Claire did owe them an apology. Jamie was trying to protect her, given that she isn't used to be in that time.

In her defense, she had that longing of wanting to go home. When she noticed the stones, anyone in her shoes would've done the same if given a chance to be back at home. And she didn't of course take it into consideration that there'd be redcoats in that area which where it got complicated.
@@glenn2056 to begin with, she would not have been in any problem if jaimie's family had not forced her to stay with them instead of taking her to inverness in the first place.

What's with the the hate towards the woman? She is right in that her husband can't order her and the man is right regarding that this wouldn't have happened if she would have listened. They have both good reasoning but the one who needs to change their mentality is the man, and he did later on luckly
No she was in the wrong here. Jaime and his men had to risk their lives to save her from Randall because she needlessly got herself in danger by not staying where they told her to. She owed them an apology for that and should have shown more gratitude. After all they can't know her reasons, for all they know she just strolled around out of boredom.
@@pg1448 Exactly, they don't know her reasons because they don't care for her opinion. Therefore Jamie should apologize for being sexist. Tho yes, she should thank them as well. Maybe even apologize for putting them in danger but she wasn't told about the risks nor is she the only one that should apologize to Jamies' men, Jamie should apologize to them as well for not being able to handle his personal life and putting them in danger because of it

All he knows she went for a walk because she can't say that she tried to go back to the stones to go to her husband in the future. And this is not on Jamie. She knew the risks, Jamie said redcoats could be around. She risked her life alongside Jamie's and his men. considering the history between Jamie and black Randall and she doesn't even apologize? She owed an apology and thinking she didn't just because she is a woman is the real sexism. But also we can't look at it from 21st century view. Jamie even can be considered gentle with apologizing afterwards and everything considering it was 18th century and women didn't have any name or rights by then.
Jamie is a man of his time...

In my eyes Jaime takes a lot from Claire, he believes her when she tells him she is from the future, he doesnt doubt her.
She talks back to men way to much (for that time in history), I am not saying its right, its the time.
He allows to work(for a time woman werent suppose to work)
Jaime is far from perfect but his love for Claire is without bounds.
Even when he disagrees, when some talks her in bad way, he stands up her.

If she can’t follow their traditions what was the point of her staying there instead of going to Frank. Mad woman. Of course she will feel more impulsive love to Jamie than to Frank, because of this emotional swing . I am starting to hate this show, especially it’s high rating. lol this was before Jamie knew and took her there to go back. at this point, she haven't decided to stay. so far, she was kidnapped, held as prisoners, had to get married because there was no choice and right before this moment she was being raped by black jack who's supposed to her husband's ancestor. when she decided to stay with Jamie, she learnt to adapt to the traditions more. but she never became a submissive wife which is why people including me like her character. she has her own knowledge and her own mind to think.
