I am just starting to get into sublimation and appreciate anything you can show us on this craft. I do have a question on how to do this with a Cricut EasyPress 2 - I do not own a heat press. Is it possible? Thanks so much Angie.
I would to put my OWN sublimation prints on BIG STUFF like CARS and BOATS, APPLIANCES and AIRCRAFT? How do you SPRAY or coat BIG objects with a thin polyester film in order to get it to stick???
First, let me say that I LOVE your videos!! My Sawgrass just arrived with my 3d Vacuum Press and I am overwhelmed. I would like to sublimate on Altoid type tins. Is that possible?
Hi! Is it really okay/advisable to print on both sides at the same time? Because I do have a problem when pressing one side at a time. Thanks! I love your video.
Good morning very nice but can I use infusible ink and my easy press 2? I know I can't do pictures. I would like to do word saying. I don't own a sublimation printer.
I would love to see a video on sublimation tumblers. As for the metal panels, can you mail them flat and then bend them after delivery or do they have to still be hot to bend them?
I would love to see more sublimation. On everything! I am still figuring out what I need to start with these types of crafts (the most frugal way possible 😉😀). I love your videos, thank you so much for all you do!
I want to sublimate an image on a cowbell. I can't find any with a polyester coating. Do you have any advice for me? Also, I am in the process of purchasing a sublimation printer and am new to it. What do you think of the Epson Surecolor F170? I am on a budget but also don't want to waste money on a bad printer. Thanks!
The rate wasn't that bad when I looked at it just now. Also, just to note, I could ship 4 frames for the same price as 1. There is probably a minimum shipping amount for the size.
Great Video!! I have everything you have in the video and set temp and time the same on my heat press, however, transfer to my metal business cards came out looking like a halftone w/no color transfer although its a color image. I'm using an Epson ECO Tank 2803 w/sublimaiton Hiipo Inks and their transfers. Any help would be appreciated..
Well I thought I would try this but to get $12 worth of dog tags it was going to cost me over $40 S&H to Canada. Not an option. Any idea where else I could get something similar with more realistic S&H fees?
Hi Angie! Thank you for these videos! Please keep them coming! I'm getting ready to convert a new epson eco tank printer to sublimation. Question when using printer do I need to have venalation? I also wantvto know can I use images from design space malink it a print but not cut file? Thank you
The pressing process can make fumes so opening a window is a good idea. You can do the print then cut images from design space and just print them but not cut them and they work fine!
In this case, I was following the instructions given by the place that sells the blanks. However, it is a firm pad that holds heat well but is soft. It is used for sublimation quite often.
Love sublimation, but not able to get all supplies needed. I don't have any room in my room either. 😕 Love your videos, learn alot from them too. Thanks for sharing
You usually have a plastic protective sleeve on metal but leaves a horrible Matt blotch kind of effect on my metal, I’ve used alcohol to clean before sublimating I’ve used a lint roller but still not crystal clear and shiny, what am I doing wrong please
@@AngieHolden I have this issue with all my aluminium irrelevant of who the supplier is, hence I’m thinking it’s something I’m doing wrong. I do take the protective film off without touching the sublimation side
Hi I just want to know please what’s the best printer inject for print photo for a mug or other things please let me know thank you so much The one I have it’s XP-5100
This is the one that I use: ua-cam.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/v-deo.html&lc=UgxGDto7ugFwYLJRK2x4AaABAg You can't use a regular inkjet printer for these types of crafts. You have to use one that you can convert to a sublimation printer.
Maybe I missed it but I was wondering if there is a preferred panel; glossy, matte, texture etc.? I see the options on the web site but I'm not sure if one works better than another or if it would just be an individual preference? Also I love your videos as well. Very, very well done.
I bought the car license plates, haven’t done them yet 😁 was a little nervous. Unfortunately the Nomex pad is sold out, do you have an alternative to suggest? Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Angie, more about sublimation on metal would be welcome by many including me! I’d love more of any kind of sublimation videos including new and updates of accessories, supplies, tools you use and test.
I’d love more sublimation videos in general! Metal or not! Loving all of them and learning so much!
You got it!
I completely agree! I always learn so much from Angie. It's such a wonderful resource.
I am just starting to get into sublimation and appreciate anything you can show us on this craft. I do have a question on how to do this with a Cricut EasyPress 2 - I do not own a heat press. Is it possible? Thanks so much Angie.
I think it would be. You do need medium pressure so you would want to press down well.
I like this. I’m interested in all that you can sublimate on. lol Thank you for doing this.
Sure thing!
I would to put my OWN sublimation prints on BIG STUFF like CARS and BOATS, APPLIANCES and AIRCRAFT? How do you SPRAY or coat BIG objects with a thin polyester film in order to get it to stick???
Would love more sublimation on metal videos
love watching your videos! have a quick question can you put photos on a silver color sublimation? or do they have to have a white back ground?
You can put it on silver but sublimation ink is translucent so the silver will alter the look of your project.
My husband is a metal fabricator and I would love to fabricate. I mean sublimate on metal
First, let me say that I LOVE your videos!! My Sawgrass just arrived with my 3d Vacuum Press and I am overwhelmed. I would like to sublimate on Altoid type tins. Is that possible?
You would have to find a sublimation blank that is like that. I have not seen one but there are 1000s of blanks so I have not seen them all!
Hi! Is it really okay/advisable to print on both sides at the same time? Because I do have a problem when pressing one side at a time. Thanks! I love your video.
You can definitely do both sides at the same time.
Good morning very nice but can I use infusible ink and my easy press 2? I know I can't do pictures. I would like to do word saying. I don't own a sublimation printer.
You could definitely use Infusible Ink with these. I think it would be fine with the EasyPress as well but I didn't try it that way yet.
I would love to sublimation my artist paintings on metal. It must be high quality. Please make more video!
You can do that with this same technique and a photograph of your art.
Hi Angie, just want to say you are awesome THANK YOU and heck ya pleaseeeeeee but is it just regular metal
It does have a sublimation coating on it! So not just regular metal.
I would like to see more sublimation ideas and tutorials.
Definitely more sublimation coming! I have about one video a week on sublimation crafts.
I would love to see a video on sublimation tumblers. As for the metal panels, can you mail them flat and then bend them after delivery or do they have to still be hot to bend them?
They don't have to be hot so your recipient could bend them!

I love your videos, thank you so much for all you do!
Could you use that "paper" you used to sublimate on wood with a metal that didn't have the coating on it already?
I am not positive that will stick to anything that is not porous.
Yes please. I need to learn how to NOT have a seam on my tumblers. And just learning more

I haven't had good luck with coatings so no advice there. You can see my F170 video here: ua-cam.com/video/PvW2urJvd4g/v-deo.html
Could you sublimate a design then engrave to outline parts of it.
Maybe! I may try some of that in the future!
The shipping on those frames is crazy high. Am I missing something?
The rate wasn't that bad when I looked at it just now. Also, just to note, I could ship 4 frames for the same price as 1. There is probably a minimum shipping amount for the size.
I'd love to see more sublimation on different items Thank you Angie for all you do.
You got it!
Do you have to use the heat press you used, or can you use the handheld heat presses?
I think an EasyPress would work fine.
Thank you for sharing this with us! Are the metal panels magnetic because that patterned panel would be cute with a changeable photo on the top!
They are NOT as they are aluminum.
@@AngieHolden thank you!
Please add more videos on this. Can I use an Easy press?
I think an EasyPress would work!
Can you use the heat press instead of the heat press you used.
You can use any heat press you have.
Yes I would love to see what else you can do.. Thank you

I would check where you bought the business cards at the time and temperature they recommend.
You give a course online. I'm very interested to take it please.
Try this: www.thecountrychiccottage.net/free-sublimation-class/
Thank you so much for sharing.
I would love to see more sublimation videos.
Did you ever had a frame that broke while you where bending it ?
No! No breaking at all!
@@AngieHolden okey great
I do not have a sublimation printer. Can you do these with an inkjet printer?

No this is sublimation only.

You can try other sources. I am not as familiar with Canadian sources. Maybe Amazon?

@@AngieHolden so more from the heat process and not the printing process? Thank you again love your videos!!
Correct. The printer smells no different than any other printer. But when you press or heat it up there is definitely a smell.
more please, I am a photographer and this is the help I need
Please could you do a sublimation on acrylic video and include your head press temps I’m struggling so much with this. Thank you
That is on my list actually!
Duraluxe is sold out of a lot of their panels. Do you recommend any other brands that sublimate well?
Try unisub.
I am curious why you use the Nomex Pad? Can I just use another type of pressing pillow?
That is what is recommended by the manufacturer. I find that those pads are called for on quite a few blanks so I just keep one on hand.
More Metal Sublimation Videos Please 😉😃💛
Certainly! Adding to my calendar!
@@AngieHolden thank and happy holidays!
Please more more videos
I just tried sublimating on the Cricut Aluminum sheets and then engraving and it came out beautifully.
Oh that is good to know!!
Want to see more thank you Angie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
More to come!
Hi Angie, Can you also use the cricut metal for this as well?
I am not sure yet! I have more experiments to do!
thanks Angie
Thank you! This was great!
You're so welcome!
I just got sublimation metal cuff bracelets ! I'm going to try engraving them as well.
That sounds like fun!
does this need sublimation ink?
Yes it does.
many more... small detailed items
Have you ever sublimated on a cowbell? I need some guidance.
I have not.
I'm trying to learn how to make my own wreath signs on metal rounds. Do you have a tutorial for beginners on that subject?
Sorry I do not.
Where can you find 10" or larger metal sublimation blanks
I am seeing some on the Duraluxe website which is where I got these. Link in the description below the video.
can you use you cricut heat press I don't have a heat press like you were using???
Yes it should be fine.
I just started doing plates
Love to.see more metal options
can I just sublimate a name onto the metal? or do I need to cover the whole metal with the sublimation?
You can just do a small portion. I did that here: ua-cam.com/video/9qJd2U3Zxkc/v-deo.html
Yes more videos! I've been binging your videos since getting my printer I converted!
Awesome! Thank you!
I used my dollar tree lint roller, and it stuck, bad, to my metal panel!😤
Did your panel have a protective film over it?
Love it! Show us other metal choices please. Thanks. I learn so much from you.
Sure thing!
This might be a dumb question, but why do you use the Nomax pad?
In this case, I was following the instructions given by the place that sells the blanks. However, it is a firm pad that holds heat well but is soft. It is used for sublimation quite often.
License plates please.
Good suggestion!!

The metal itself has a sublimation coating. You may be seeing that. There isn't anything you can do about it.
Love it
