- Last week Mason Ho wanted to test out the new FCS H4 fins by surfing 4 sessions on 4 different surfboards around the North Shore. He says these fins are fast and responsive and talks more about them at the end of the video.

If it wasn't for this vlog and all you, Rory , Mason & family, Burger and everyone I'd for real loose my shit. My Muscular Dystrophy is at the point where I can surf 15-20 minutes and I'm done. I pushed it to hard last week and ended up having a seizure. Hospitals suck, physical therapy sucks. These vids are my cure. Mahalo nui loa, Aia way i kau ho` ai` e. I wish there was a way to return the Aloha. Much respect always 🙏🤙🌊

And so is his uncle Derek Ho! Every member of that family is surfing royalty in my opinion actually. And whats cool about Mason is that he looks up to and idolizes them just as much as the rest of us! Any time you hear Mason talk about them you can tell that their still his hero’s! I think thats rad.

Well I know they are big shoes to fill . But when I watched this I said to myself, wow it's like watching a new school Tom Curren . Soul Cats!
Don’t get me wrong I think Mason Ho has one of the smoothest and visually pleasing styles out of anyone currently, but I don’t think he resembles Curren very much. But if you mean that he’s got a style as unique and as entertaining/ eye catching as Tom Curren then I would agree.
His Tom Curren at Backdoor by Tom Servais impression is absolutely magnificently spot-on!!💯

He doesn't try to surf like Slater, he surfs like his idol who was Curren, among others, and it shows. (in a good way)

These vlogs are cool but you got to admit people this is a different kknd of person then what we are used to seeing. And why so many people loke him. Different in that these vlogs lately he is almost shy of the camera like he is nervous around it and doesnt want to talk. Now that seems a very sharp contrast then what ive seen before. Just saying. Doesnt mean its bad. Just different.
