Thank you so much for this video. I've been looking for ways to save the breakout rooms in Zoom. I found the 3 dots where you can save the configuration, but somehow the next time I start the same meeting, it won't show up. I agree that Zoom needs to give better instructions, esp on this topic. What's missing on my end is that I need to schedule another meeting to call on the previously saved configuration. I found another thing though. When I set the recurring meeting to "No Fixed Time," the drop down box won't show up. So I need to set it to Daily/Weekly/Monthly.
I agree! Zoom comes out with these great features, but I wonder how much they were tested, and they need to give us some instructions on how they work. Thanks, Lanny.
@ChrisMenardTraining - I am having the same issue. I save rooms, but each day they are no where to be found. I alos dont have that Break Out pre-assign like you do under Options. Please help. LOL..... ZOOM support sends me in an endless cycle
Definately a great new feature. Is this based upon zoom ID or email affiliated with zoom iD. We do have some end users that don't log in with their email. I assume that they won't automatically get in the room correctly since it is based upon email as that has to be unique since zoom IDs can be duplicates rigth?
I created and saved breakout rooms for a recurring meeting. I use a person zoom link but cannot seem to find the breakrooms I created to save to the personal meeting. I checked in the settings and did what you suggested but no luck as the three dots do not show up in the breakout room once I created them to save and also in the settings it does not give me the option to pick a preassigned set up that I did. Also no recurring button for the private meeting ID. Can you help? Thanks Wendy
I have had no luck and I cannot even get an answer from zoom tech support. I cannot get a real person either as when I call I get told my account does not allow for zoom person to person support. Frustrating so everyday I rename 20 rooms and if zoom crashes I start over. Fun stuff. @@Cherissa
This is unrelated to this Zoom topic, but I have a recurring meeting that I had previously wanted to require registration for, and now I don't want to require registration anymore. I changed the setting that required registration, not realizing that it would delete my data of those who had previously been registered for the recurring meeting. Do you know of any way to recover this data? 😬

Unfortunately, it turns out I can't save the configuration. The renamed rooms stay at the top list, while I want a space of an interval of 5 rooms.
