Do you film your rides?
I find that I've stopped filming rides due to the hassle of attaching and reattaching my GoPro, the hassle to move footage to my iPhone to their App and GoPro app in particular. Maybe this would be something quick and easy for me to create more videos. I wonder how it compares with the tiny 360 GO.
Can you show how you mounted it to the top tube
What handle bar mount are you using?
Very useful to see how the 360 can be used in cycling...great explanation,
thanks
Jerry
Tariq waiting for the x3 review mate. Great for cycling this cam yeah? Might pull the trigger for my 1st 360 cam 👍🙏
Thanks mate! I use the GoPro Fusion but the workflow is too bad indeed. Takes a lot of time to render: stiching, and rendering with some other sw which contains keying and so on.
At 7:29 did you use a longer stick and not the bike extension from the bike bundle about 20 cm? It seems that the camera is further away.
camera on top of helmet 😅🤣😂 it must be real good footage otherwise why would you want to look like a 🤡 on wheels!
Great video - thank you. Would have loved to see how you mounted the camera on the various places on your bike - like the center post, between your legs. I’m looking to maybe start road biking and want to get cameras. Was looking at cycliq but this one now has my interest. Thanks again.
Stay tuned for my review of the new 360 R.
This 360 have GPS like Go pro thanks 🙏
Great video, how you Mount in front stem thanks 🙏
40 minute battery life??!! I'll pass
I've been so tempted by this camera. I have so many GoPros. I think I'll wait for the next version. 🤔
How long the battery last?
Hi, when mounted in front, under bike computer, how did you make it to stay fixed (horizontally)? For me, the slightest bump got it moved downwards :(
Very tight. You just have to tighten it as much as possible.
I will use pliers 😬
For using a 360 camera under the saddle? Which one would be best? One R, X2 or GoPro Max?
The X2 would be my pick for behind the saddle. It extends a tiny bit more than the one R and captures a lot more.
@@SmartBikeTrainers thanks a lot!
Where's the angle from the thumbnail??
That shot was done
using the invisible selfie stick mounted under the bike computer and extended out all the way out.
coooool :)
How to mount on bike helmet ?
Hey thank you for the great video. Do you know what mount you need to attach invisible tripod stick to a bike handlebars or helmet?
They include many adhesive mounts which you can attach to the helmet, top tube, handlebars. But the weight of the invisible stick might be too much for the adhesive. You can also get any gopro mount and you should be able to use it with the invisible stick. I personally use the k-edge mount to mount under the bike computer and was strong enough to hold the invisible stick extended all the way.

@@SmartBikeTrainers thank you so much sir.that is perfect.really appreciate your response. Legend
Lol, 6:10 “…but, if you don’t want to look weird…”. Very useful video though. What is the resolution of the output video? What resolution should you film in if you want to be able to switch views in post?
Just what I was looking for. Going for the new One X2! Thanks.
Great review!
Love the way the shot makes it look like someone is filming you from in front, but I would hate to think of the extra damage it could cause if you crash. Love that view under the Wahoo too which would be my preference.
I tried to use the same helmet mount bar in front of my handlebars attached to a go pro mount underneath my quad lock and the bar kept falling while ridding. How did you get yours to not rotate down from the weight of the camera? Thanks!
I used a wrench to turn the knob to tighten it a little extra.
How did you mount the bike bundle to your cockpit?
Can you do the same video for GoPro Max? I found this to be informative and want to compare.
Can you tell me the extension you are using on your bike with the camera? It looks different than the Invisible Selfie Stick.
I think it’s called helmet extender but you can use it anyway you want. This is it:
www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZH7M62/?tag=sbiketrainers-20
Why didnt you show how you have the camera mounted to your bike? How far off the front does your camera need to be mounted to get view as if a "camera crew it infront of you?" Or is it just on your handle bard and you can zoom it out
The farther out the better. Depending on what you are trying to capture and for how long. But if you just want something short for a video you can use the long invisible stick and extend it far out. The farther out the better it sill be. But I was able to capture some good front video shot with the camera only extended about one foot or so using the helmet mount extender that comes with the bike kit. You can get very creative with it and it will capture amazing shots.
Amazing ! What kind of Micro SD did you use? How capacity? The video files has to be huge.
It was the default 32gb SD card that it came with.
Do you upgrade to insta360 one X 2?
Hi mate, can you elaborate on how you mounted the invisible stick on the handle bars? I tried to do on mine but the camera keeps sliding down with the vibration
I had to use a plier to tie it down but depending on the roads you ride on, it might keep sliding down from vibration. You might be able to find some kind of a threaded mount to prevent it from sliding down but I haven’t looked into that personally.
Hi Tariq, very interested in this camera. Can you please describe how you mounted the camera on your top tube (8:38-8:44)?Was the camera mounted parallel to the top tube, ie on top of the top tube, or was it vertical to the top tube? What mounting device did you use to attach the camera to the top tube. Great video. Thanks in advance.
I used one of the sticky mount it came with the camera. The camera was up vertical to the top tube.
Facebook live?
Yes you can do live streaming.
Thanks
Awesome Video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
How about the battery?
+Israel Arroyo Per specs, the battery should last around 60min. But found it to last more around 40min or so. Battery can be easily replaced too if you need to carry a backup battery with you or get a battery pack and connect it to the mini usb.
Great video, thanks
Hi.
What kind of accessories do you recommend to frame only the monuments and not the people on the street?
And another question:
The waterproof diving case can it be a system for shooting and at the same time a way to protect lenses?
Thanks
Not sure what you mean by not capturing people, but the invisible stick would be great to capture monument. The waterproof case is a little bulky but yes, it can work to protect the lenses on the camera.
@@SmartBikeTrainers
Regarding the registration of monuments and not people on bicycles, I wanted to understand which was the best accessory to make this type of recovery.
Hi, great video! Quick one, at 7:03min of the video you showed the Insta cam mounted in front of the handlebar and your cycling computer (Wahoo), is that a GoPro mount you have used for that? It is a black small arm with a "hole" where you have attached your Insta? Just asking as I have pretty much the same bycicle configuration and wanted to do the same. Thanks a mill
I think the arm you are referring to is part of the Insta 360 bike kit. I have it attached under the wahoo bike computer mount.
@@SmartBikeTrainers Ah ok, I think you have used the helmet extension pole (see here store.insta360.com/product/bike_bundle) and attached underneath your Wahoo computer mount, correct?
Yes, exactly. It’s meant for the helmet but I guess it can be used anywhere. I found the invisible stick to be a little heavy to stay in place under the computer mount. The helmet extension pole was perfect for my use case.
Thanks for the video
The best 360 video so far. I would like to take the video for myself like 7:28, is it possible to do it by mounting the 360 One R on the stem? Will it be too close?
That one was taken with the camera attached further away using the invisible stick. Probably not something you can do for a full ride but maybe for short snippets to have some fun with it.
SMART Bike Trainers thx so much for your reply. Yr video is fantastic! Already subscribed and Liked
Super ce cintre full carbone !!😇🥰🥰
Too long
That’s what she said
Another quick question: does it record while charging? Like if I attach a portable power brick to it?
yes.
Great video, really helpful. You mention at around 7:05 that you used the GoPro mount with the invisible stick to get the image of you riding the bike from the front - can you show us an image of this in place? Which GoPro mount is it? This is a great look and exactly what I am looking for but it seems that the bike bundle will not achieve this so it would be good to clarify the exact method. Appreciate it.
I have the k-edge GoPro mount for my Wahoo Elemnt and used the invisible helmet extender that comes in the bike bundle. This is the GoPro and ELEMNT mount I have:
www.amazon.com/dp/B019L1OJW8/?tag=sbiketrainers-20
It is quite difficult to mount it on the kedge Garmin, not much space but it works
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thanks for clarifying this mounting system. I like the simplistic way of mounting the x2 to the handle bars. Stay upright and riding safe!
How long is the mount from the 360 one x to the stem? Thx
For that specific shot around 7:28, it was two to three feet away from the stem. The further away you can place it the butter.
Thanks for this video. I work in film and TV and often think about creating cycling or running content. Your video got me thinking.
You can do so much with this camera. The other thing I didn’t mention is it’s frame rate. You can record up to 100 FPS in 3k. So you can really slow down your shots for some dramatic effects.
Can go pro max be edited to show pov like at 7:27 ?
Yes, you should be able to
Thank you for another excellent video.
Question: I race crits. Could you possibly do a video on the Garmin and Go Pro 360 cameras with a race focus? I would like to know which one is better for capturing a 360 view of the race. I would also like to know the proper way to position the camera. Seems like top of the helmet would be the best...
The GoPro 360 Fusion is a nightmare to use and work with. That’s why I avoided it. As for positioning the camera, depends on what you want to have in frame. The helmet is a great position but will capture a top down type footage. In front of the handlebars like I showed in the video, will capture a better front view. My only concern with using the Insta360 in crits is getting it wet or possible dirt or mud. It’s not waterproof but they do sell a waterproof case. The Garmin VIRB 360 is a good camera but a little over of my price range.
Thank you for replying. The top down seems like a good way to go. Didn’t you use the invisible stick on your video to get your cool front view angle? Even if you didn’t, it seems like your body would get in the way of a rear view. I guess that’s why most people have two video cameras. One for the front and one for the back. Albeit those cameras are not 360.
+Ricco Rosini yes the body will get in the way if you want to capture a rear view. But also depends on how far out in front you place it. The farther out the better. But for getting everything around you, the helmet is definitely perfect for that.
How do you transfer the movie you made from the camera over to the app somehow for you to edit?
+KWC The camera connects to your phone over WiFi and transfer files. You can also use one of the cord included to connect the camera to your phone.
@@SmartBikeTrainers I'm watching a great video for beginners. In the process of buying a kit. Many thanks!
How did you mount it on your top tube?
I used one or the adhesive mounting accessories included with the bike kit to attach it to the top tube
What do you think about Samsung gear 360 or do you know about it?
I don’t know much about it.
SMART Bike Trainers
Ok
Should I get this or a go pro hero 7
They are somewhat different and I like the GoPro for certain things and this one for other things. You will take cool shots with the Insta360 but the GoPro is a better action camera. So all depends on what you want to do with it.
how does it work at night?
It’s fine for an action camera. Photo will be grainy.
At 7:03, you show the camera out in front pointed up and down. Will you please link to the parts needed for that mount setup?
All of that came in the bike bundle which you can find here
