    Excellent. Readers please use water instead of juice to keep those sugar diseases at bay. I take my MsM with water still works the same. If you use msm on your scalp ( and it does work) it is very drying please follow it with a light oil.

      It’s really nice in smoothies, or a vitamin c rich juice, or put it in ranch when u eat sweet peppers or something but it has to have vitamin c.
      If u use it topically, put msm in green tea.

    • @jessicahensonspeaks
      @jessicahensonspeaks  7 місяців тому +6

      Yes, you are right 🤍 Orange juice does have a lot of sugar and isn’t the best option for everyone! It does mask the taste and contains vitamin c, but mixing it in warm water or tea is a good option as well. For topical use every time I use MSM, I do follow up with an oil. That is built into my regimen and why I show me using a hair oil as well after spraying my scalp. Everything you’ve said here is helpful to the community. Thanks Benita 🙂🤍

    I put msm in my coffee along with collagen for 4 years. I’ve had the most healthy hair during that time period. Although too much msm will cause acne especially on my face. I naturally don’t get acne. so that’s the con when it comes to taking msm powder.
    Thanks for reminding me to restock.

      Oh no, I’m so sorry. I would definitely recommend a green tea or black tea rinse (soak some tea-let it cool- put in a spray bottle-apply to scalp). Do you have any known conditions? Lacking any vitamins? Postpartum? Are you losing hair at the root or is it breakage? I would stop using a comb for the time being and finger detangle only. And also leave your hair in a loose, low manipulation style such as large twists.

      OP, maybe your hair _NEEDS a protein treatment,_ OR maybe your hair is getting too much of it in various products. You will have to read your shampoos, conditioners, etc. Plus, is it hormonal shed? Breakage looks different than shedding. During K0vid I went through a very bad shed phase (long strands - thick hair quickly going thin) I sent pics of the hair globs to my long-term hairstylist. She called me and flatly said _"well, did you WASH it!?"_ I'd just had my hair done and 4 wks later it still looked rather good in a ponytail, so I didn't want to "mess" it up. It never occurred to me that LACK of water was the issue🥴 I learned that when my hair is straight (not in protective style) then I'd better thoroughly wet it every 5 to 10 days or it sheds like crazy. I washed, used Aphogee protein treatment, sat under my home dryer 30 min, then Olaplex #0 & 3, condition and GENTLY finger detangled. A LOT of hair was still coming out afterwards. However, the shedding STOPPED within 3-4 days. The main thing I learned was internal/external WATER water WATER💦

      Awww yes it’s nasty, but that’s why I use orange juice 🍊 to help it dissolve. I can’t taste it once I mix it. Plus orange juice is packed with vitamin c which is also great for hair growth. How long have you been taking it? It’s awesome your nails have grown though. You can try incorporating scalp massages to promote hair growth as well

      @@TrustingTruthTarot Don’t put it in smoothies it removes the specific complex properties you need in MSM. Don’t use water, soda, sparkling water etc..only citrus orange juice is the best 8-10 oz. The citrus activates MSM in the body. Take it in the morning only. You can seclude for yourself on empty stomach or after meal.

    What if u have alopecia aerata?

    • @jessicahensonspeaks
      @jessicahensonspeaks  7 місяців тому +3

      Alopecia can be caused my many things. If alopecia is caused by vitamin deficiency, stress, or hormonal imbalance I think this is safe to use since MSM is just is an organic form of sulfur. But if your alopecia is attached to another condition, I think it’s always best to consult your physician and look at more research. But it has been working wonderfully for my scalp. If I didn’t already, I’ll post some helpful articles in the description box 🤍🙂

    • @calluspeculiar8579
      @calluspeculiar8579 Місяць тому

      @ See, I’ve been tempted to try that, but I’m actually afraid of ruining my smoothie lol! I register the bitterness not as much as a taste but as a sensation… to me it kind of feels the way it does if you’ve ever had metal in your mouth. That’s just my opinion. So I have not added MSM to my smoothie because I’m afraid of altering it so much that it’s completely unpalatable.
      If you’re starting out with just one scoop, I actually think you could disguise that bitterness behind a citrus/ fruity taste. As you add scoops though I’m not too sure about how that would work out. Lots of people use orange juice. I think most people try to drink it with water or something water-based on an empty stomach for best absorption.
