Is it possible to make an onion oil
@@maryamtofa9080 Yes you can but, its wont be as strong as Onion Juice b/c many of its beneficial properties are water soluable. You can make Onion Oil by purchaseing or making dried onions ... add that and the oils you want into a croc pot or double boiler perferably, and let it simmer on low for about 1 to 2 hours. Strain out the onion peices and use the oil on your hair and scalp as often as you like, just make sure to wash your hair on a consistent basis. Oh and it would be smart to do a patch test first, just to make sure you're not allergic.
@@GreenBeauty Thank you for the advice, I'm always glad to see your videos. Keep it up.😍
Does oil juice help regrew or thicken and grow thin edges?
And how often to do it?
I have used MSM before I had brain surgery. I recently started taking it again because I got great results before. I put it in my morning coffee and I did start off using 1 scoop and worked my way up to 3 scoops. I will stop using at the end of this month to take a break. My hair has grown 7 inches in 1 year since my surgery and I am 65 years old. I am all in.
I love it. It really works for me.
That’s a normal rate of hair growth. Just keep maintaining. Also, I’m happy your made it out of surgery safely! 💖
So glad that you have recovered from your brain surgery. Did the surgeon have to shave your head completely bald before the surgery? To me 7in is a little better than what's considered normal since the average is 1/2 inch per month.
@@sable7114 The surgeon shaved 1/4th, of my hair, and once I got the ok to wash my hair I shaved the rest off. 7 inches is a lot for me because I was getting only about 4 to 5 inches a year. Where I had the surgery even grew the same amount.
I would like to thank you for sharing your story.
Congratulations on your recovery.
How I think without the sulfur and a great diet you would have had the same results.
Ive literally been watching this channel for what feels like almost 10 years.
But there aren’t 1mil subs yet? That’s crazy.

MSM absolutely works!!! I suffered severe hair loss for 2 years until I started taking MSM and WOOOOW----- I can finally take this bun down because my hair isn't falling out anymore! My hair loss stopped within a week and my baby hairs started growing almost immediately. What a cure!! GreenBeauty ---Excellent job!! Great science with your advice and I enjoy your delivery.
Which msm brand did you buy ... ? Did you take crystal form or pill form ... ?
@@biblicalfactcheck6670 I like Doctor's Best. But I only take half the recommended dose because it makes my stomach hurt.
Bamboo silica is good too; beautifully bamboo makes a tea. Do you take ancestral supplements's liver? It's the best superfood! Gotta start slow though and build your dose up though. (1 pill 1st week 2 pills 2nd week). Their bone marrow is good too. They say to take their products with magnesium foods to make it better. All these things help hair. So does Dr Berg's d3+ k2 and his trace minerals-- I've heard we should get a filter for our water that eliminates chemicals for when we wash our hair. :)
I'm using MSM now. my hair and nails are taking off. I feel great I don't have any aches or pains. I had very bad arthritis pains in my hands. I will continue to take MSM. I'm in!!😊
Hi What brand do you use?
How long it takes to see results with arthritis pain?
@@Product_snob I like Doctor's Best, but I take a smaller dose than recommended because it makes my stomach hurt.
How long does ng have you been using it ?
I ve been using this brand off and on for a couple of years. It takes a few weeks before you get results.
I tried MSM maybe 10 years ago when I saw everyone talking about. I don’t remember it doing anything. I don’t plan to try it or any “hair growth” tricks again. I will eat a healthy diet for my nutrients. 🙂
Have been taking for over 3 months and I am not seeing any difference in my hair nor skin
mochacholat ..... have u tried using it in oil mixes for hair?
I tried it and the only thing it did was mess up my skin.
I remember the hype over it too. Many were only complaining about it causing acne so that turned me off at the time since I was already dealing with that. Lol. I think there was another issue but i forget. Was it smell?
I agree Tiffany with eating an healthy diet. I can't keep up with all the tricks. I've never tried msm but aloe vera leaf is working for me. That's all I can handle right now. 😂
I do take MSM. My hair is stronger less shed and split ends. Also my nails grow like crazy long and most importantly my knees feel like a kid again. I’ve been taking MSM off and on for over a year.
Hi Thanks for sharing your experience. How long were you taking MSM before u seen results? I just started taking MSM. And im hoping for hair long hair growth.
Woo! I need me some MSM. My poor knee is taking a long time recovering from dancing at a wedding almost two weeks ago. 😁 Thanks for sharing. 👍🏾
Everything is a hit or miss. Some people say it helped them, some people say collagen helped them. I took msm can't say it did much for my hair , but it helped so much with my knee pain.
I take MSM for knee pain; also, it improved the physical function of my knee. I have not noticed any changes to my hair, but now I will observe my hair a little more.
Same as you, it really helps with knee/ hips joint pain but honestly it did not help my hair grow faster.
Everyone’s bodies react differently to everything based on how you take care of yourself. It’s not something that is going to work or not. It’s more like a wide spectrum of how it affects each person because everyone is not doing the exact same thing and biologically our bodies don’t react to everything the same.
What's the dosage for knee pain?
@@batgirlp5561 I only take 3/4 of a teaspoon. I add it to my tea in the morning
I am currently using MSM. I changed my whole hair routine once I incorporated it to follow some of your recs. I started heat stretching instead of braiding or band stretching and remoisturizing every 4 days at the same time. So its hard to identify the key step, but my hair growth retention has taken off and i see a huge difference in 6 mo.!
Heat stretching?🤔
Do you use it topically? Or as a supplement
You can use it in your conditioner, it's best by mouth.
@@eugeniasalmon8182 if taken by mouth, does the hair grow everywhere (armpits, arms, legs) ?
Where is the best place to get it 😪
I’ve been adding MSM and collagen to my morning tea for about three months now, and I noticed my hair growth rate started to increase after about if month. My nails are also really long and not easily broken now.
Thats so good .which brand u taking ?
@@blessed9491 it's totally all natural 👍🏾💯
There’s just no one else like you. PERIODT. You’re so necessary and needed !
I have been taking a hair and nails vitamin for about 8 months now it contains biotin and MSM . I haven’t had any of the terrible side effects that I heard from others including nightmares! Thanks for this video looking forward for the subsequent one about using it in other products which I also do. !!!!
It’s making your hair grow??
Yes... there's no one knowledgeable like this lady
Hi what is the specific product you use
What brand of pills are you using ?
No one does it better. Your videos are so informative and "hype" free. Thanks for the great job you do.
⭐️⭐️SHORT ANSWER : YES! YES IT DOES MAKE YOUR HAIR GROW! ⭐️⭐️👏🏾👏🏾😊. I take half tsp with vitamin c in warm water every morning and evening . Main side effects for me were insomnia/more energy only if taken too close to bed time , a bit of gas and period cycle moved . Pros , good skin no breakouts , it made me drink more water, minimum post workout aches , nails grew , vivid dreams and of course shocking hair growth everywhere ! - I even made an oil and rub it on my eyebrows 😅
hi. did your lashes lengthen significantly when you were taking MSM?
@@hannahimnida4872 tbh I’ve never noticed , maybe do the msm and try a lash serum too
I love MSM and it works miracles for both hair and nail growth and pain relief. However it makes me have very VERY strange dreams when I tale it internally so I now only use it externally. I liquify it with aloe vera then add it to hair oils and make a body butter with shea and cocoa butter.
try 1st thing in the AM, as far away from bedtime as possible
It definitely made my hair grow. My edges were sparse in very thin and within a month my hairline filled out tremendously. The growth it was astronomical and this is coming from a person that has never really had hair that grows past the shoulders. The only downside is it does cause nightmares and I mean very vivid dreams. And I think you have to keep taking it once you start it.
How long did it take
Same. My hair never grows fast and recently I've gone from a shaved head to a thick layer of curls in under a month because of msm. I had no idea it was possible to grow this much hair in such a short amount of time lol. Also, I actually love the vivid dreams but I know that varies by person to person.
It can detox of you of metals I think. That's Likley why.
I’ve also noticed my dreams have become exponentially more vivid & like… lucid!? However, my dreams have always been vivid but that’s a wild side effect that I haven’t seen anyone else mention while using it.
@@IhearditwasAriesEra Yes.. just started taking MSM about a week ago. Going through the lucid dream & extreme fatigue stage right now. I’ve taken this in the past but didn’t drink enough water plus had a vitamin d deficiency so didn’t get any results. Hope to see some of those good results y’all talking about this time tho..Lol 🙏🏾
My husband and I use MSM and have been for quite some time. I began using it to help with our joints as well as hoping it would help with growing my hair. I’ve not noticed a significant amount of hair growth, but it has done wonders for our joints.
I notice my skin gets softer, joints feel better and helps with hayfever.
Ur hair is a last choice to be given nutrients . So if ur difficent elsewhere it will take care of that first
MSM is also in chlorella which I add to smoothies. When I'm consistent with drinking them daily, my hair flourishes.
Good to know!
This is my first time watching one of your videos, I can tell a lot of work went into it. This was laid out so well, so professional and easy to understand.
This was the last video that I watched on MSM and I finally made my purchase and I did not regret it at all! My hair has grown so much it is so much thicker and healthier!! It really works! It never gave me a migraine break outs or anything I’m so happy that I went on and bought it and not listen to anybody’s opinion. It’s bomb! Fr
congrats girl 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! this comment's making me go buy some now, which brand did you end up buying? cause I know a lot of these brands add unnecessary ingredients lol
Hello. Which brand and form of MSM did you purchase? Are you still using it?
Ma’am I need an update on your hair regimen cause that sheen, texture and moisture I’m seeing in your hair is goals 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I started msm 6 months ago for medical reasons. I was concerned because I have numerous allergies including sulfa drugs. It's a balance between need and side effects. My research showed that just because a prescription sulfa drug causes an allergic reaction doesn't mean msm will. So I followed their guidelines to start as you described, 1/8 tsp for a week and so on. I stopped at 1 tsp as it is medically working for my needs. I felt side effects immediately but not severe. The week at each level gave my body time to adjust. I will be on it long term and I hadn't heard to take a break. I will check back with my doctor. Thank you for that tip.
Also before I tried it I went back to all of your videos referencing sulfur. SO HELPFUL!! You have truly blessed me with understanding what on earth to do with my kinky coily 4c dense, thick, heavy, low porosity, still no clue on sebum, lol, hair and learn to love it. Has msm helped? Absolutely!!! The strength of my hair follicles is very noticeable. Disclaimer. I also started prior to msm, moringa, again for medical reasons. Not sure if it also is helping in that respect, but with both msm crystals and moringa powder, my health has significantly improved and my hair in this instance has improved as a side effect. BONUS!! I am not chasing length, just healthy scalp and hair. With that, I am good. Your videos have propelled me in that direction armed with the knowledge I need.
That's a very long statement to say thank you. This video helps me understand my health and challenges on my journey. More please!!
How do u use Moringa ?
I use MSM in my smoothies everyday, it has made my hair stronger.
My hair grew really quickly when I used this for a month. I think it grew an inch and a half or 2 I kid you not. Everyone noticed my hair really changed in a month. As in, I went from an awkward mini afro to an afro twice as big and I was shocked. I don’t remember having vivid dreams or any other side effects just super fast hair growth. This was a year or two ago however so I don’t remember much. My hair is down my back now. The thing is you kinda need to watch how much you’re taking otherwise it doesn’t work as well anymore. I’ve had to come off it completely because I was taking too much. It’s been a while since I’ve taken it but I’ll get back on.
Yeah … it’s definitely should not be a long term thing
Did you lose any length after stopping?
Or has the length of your hair stayed the same
The best UA-camr on UA-cam! You are so calm and your knowledge makes me understand everything without being over excited and do more harm than good! I really hope you do a video on the science of oiling the scalp and does it really promote hair growth and stop shedding? You are amazing ♥️♥️
Absolutely calm and focused. I loved this presentation so much, I subscribed!
Hey Sis. I took MSM last year! Only for a few months! I noticed my hair was thicker and my nails were stronger. Also my skin was SO smooth, my face was as soft as a baby’s bottom😂!! I made sure I drank tons of water, because I usually get pimples very quickly. I still have some MSM in my house, this vifeo is a reminder to start using it again! ☀️ Thank you!
Hello Green Beauty, I have been taking MSM for 56 days. I have noticed that my hair is no longer dry, it is no longer breaking and it has grown. There has been an improvement in the overall health of my hair. Now that I have watched your excellent video, I will stop taking it for 28 days and then resume taking it again for another 56 days on the 28th of March. Thank for you for sharing your knowledge.
I really love and appreciate how she does a lot of research,a trial on herself and share with us her honest opinion and DIY.
I swear her correct inversion method helped me grow 1 inch per month and my hair grew a lot thicker.(waveyish hair)
THANK YOU SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL ❤️
Oh goodness. Green is soooooo much better than the other "scientific" cosmo person. Green speaks respectfully and in ways that regular people understand and BETTER she puts in pictures and videos to "actually" help you understand the science of hair. PLUS her own hair shows you the proof of the stuff actually working to grow your hair. Whew.
Aww thank you so much ... you just made my day 😊
@@GreenBeauty Yu are really welcome. Your not harsh and strong with people in explaining these things to folks. I can see why you are doing so well. Thank you for being nice.
Chlorella... have not used that in decades.
Msm gives me headaches
I have used MSM it for almost a year & I didn't notice a massive difference but I have used so many new regimens from your channel during lockdown so it's hard to tell which one is working. However, my hair definitely grew and is thicker thanks to your videos! I believe onion juice once a week has made the biggest difference! 💜💜💜
I took MSM supplements for about 6 months , it definitely did increase the growth rate and density of my hair . I started off by taking 1/8th or a tea spoon until my body was comfortable enough to have 1 tea spoon a day . Eventually I got sick and tired of having to wax my body hair so often and only use it now topically on my scalp , topical use wasn’t as effective but it did make a difference
I tried MSM a couple of years ago, but I had to stop because it was giving me very vivid nightmares.
I heard you have to drink lots of water
yeah this happened to me as well, both nightmares and good dreams. but the point is they were super vivid. Once you drink enough water (A LOT. 8 glasses per day at the very least) the symptoms mostly go away though!
@@dizel01 Same with me! Drinking water took my headache out
@@italislife7461 yeahhhh if I didn't constantly drink water I'd get a terrible headache and stomach cramps... But it works wonders as long as you stay hydrated 👌

I am not planning on using MSM as a supplement I eat onion and garlic everyday and the onion juice recipe that I have been using over a year and half hasn't let me down yet. It has provided a great improvement ❤
Does the onion juice really work?? The smell is hard to deal with but I have CCCA and I’m willing to continue weekly if it weakly works. Ow often do you use it?

Hello
Osteoporosis acting up?
I don’t think I’ll be trying MSM seeing as how your onion juice recipe is already working so well for me.
I just started using again. When I was consistently taking I saw great results hair was growing at a nice rate. My hair seemed softer. My skin benefited as well glowy and supple. Joints weren't stiff, workout recovery time was a breeze. I stop taking it because I was planning a pregnancy and then I had 2 of them pretty close together ❤. I waited till I was not breastfeeding anymore to start again.
Good Morning. I been taking MSM for 3 years. I take half a teaspoon orally every other day, and I add 1/8 teaspoon to 8 ounces of distilled water, place it in a spray bottle and apply it the my roots. I follow up with a hydrating leave in and seal with fenugreek butter. The use of MSM has made my hair stronger and it’s great for joint health.
How long your hair grew?
@@sareedan3988 Iextenfs the growing phase of your hair. My hair is two inches past the middle of my back. I also make my own shampoo and use Alma and henna in my hair masks. They all work together.
I just started taking it. Right on time. It has really helped with growing my edges. I also noticed Im not as sore after working out. I did 3 days of HIIT back to back, after taking a long break from exercise, and I feel a normal amount of soreness, as if I never took a break.
Also, your hair is looking thick as ever. Hope the Baby is doing well 👶🏽 💗

I started using a supplement that contains 500 mg of MSM last month, and I have noticed both thickness and growth. I will take a break from the supplement in April and resume in May. Thank you for this video and for the rich information you provide through your channel. I love your channel. 😍
What is the name of the supplement?
I actually just started taking MSM internally so this came at the perfect time for me. I slowly increased from 1/8 tsp. I’m up to 1 tsp. No side effects so far. No noticeable results so far, either. I’ve almost reached 2 months on, so I’m glad I watched this. I’ll take a month off soon. ☺️
Have you noticed any extra growth yet?
You have to take it twice a day 12 hours apart in order to see results. I was taking it 1/4 tsp once a day with vitamin C and didn't see any kind of effects. After doing more research, I found out that it clears out of the body in 12 hours and you need to take at least 3 grams total everyday. I cut all my hair off January 3rd. I started taking 1.5 grams twice a day with vitamin c and I can't believe how much growth I've gotten! My entire head is covered with hair! I can feel all these soft little curls alp over my head and you can't see my scalp at all. Unbelievably fast hair growth! I can't stop looking in the mirror and touching my hair lol. Oh yeah, make sure you drink PLENTY of water too or you could get headaches and/or breakouts. Try taking it this way and I bet you'll see a huge difference.
@@kecola Thanks for the tips Kecola..because I took this once a day w/ vitamin C for almost 3 months & didn’t see a change in my hair AT ALL. Kept hearing all these ppl ranting & raving about the results they have seen. Will definitely try your advice. 🙏🏾✨
@@missj3434 You're so welcome! ❤️ I was also using msm for months at one dose a day with ZERO results. When I stepped it up to 2x a day I finally saw what all the hype was about lol. The results come fast too! I can vouch for Doctor's Best Optimsm powder. That's what I use.
which brand are you using?
I’ve taken a hair supplement that includes MSM on and off for a long time. Restarted a couple of months ago after some pandemic stress related hair loss. Hair is doing better but the major benefit has been decreased muscle soreness after working out. I was younger when I took it before and didn’t notice that effect as much. Not planning on stopping at all now.
It helps with my fibromyalgia pain.
@PHYLLIS Langston does it? I have fibromyalgia..I will have to try it
It's in my hair supplement, but at a lower dose than what they recommend for hair growth. But I don't know if it works at a higher potency.
I’ve been taking MSM daily (in capsule form) for almost 2 years now. A really good brand is “jarrow”: there are not a lot of extra ingredients in the formula that might clog up your system. I exercise every day and have seen improvements in my hair thickness/strength; so it’s a win-win for me in terms of joint & hair health.

It works for hair growth and i stand by that..im.not sure how long it takes hair to grow without msm but in 2 months it grew my hair 2inches which for me is a big deal as before nothing was happening. It has also helped with my joint pains they've stopped..and it has made my skin firmer and smoother..the side effect for me is that i think it might have helped to reverse my menopause somewhat😅😅 cus im having full periods again and i went a full year without one. And no i dont have cervical cancer nor fibroid issues. Oh and yeah it has bloated me a bit but i use activated charcoal to help with that. And i dont use it every day maybe 3 or 4 times a week. I use it in a serum for my face as well..
I think the general opinion is 1/2” a month, certainly no more than that, possibly less, all those are normal growth rates. So when someone says they grew 2” in a month, that’s really a lot.

I’ve been thinking about introducing MSM into my hair care regimen (topically) often. But the uncertainty held me back. I don’t just want to follow trends and I haven’t taken the time to do proper research either. I intrigued by the fact that it also has many benefits when taken orally. Thanks for this video. I will definitely read more about it. I’d probably still start off with the topical use first, though. Looking forward to the next video...
I don't have other social media such as IG or FB, I have "social" [media] distanced for years. I'm open to trying MSM. I've been a sub for 5 years. I love how you break down the science of why and how certain treatments work and the natural state of hair period. It took me a while to get my hair routine down, however, I came a long way. I didn't think my hair could ever grow so I just cut it bald but 2 1/2 years later my hair is shoulder length. "I'M IN"
I don't plan on taking MSM internally. Thanks for the great informational video
I'm late the party on this one, but I will say I take 1/8th teas. daily (pure crystals), one month on, one off, and it grows like crazy. I just subscribed, followed on Insta, and just ordered some protein treatment from your site; can't wait to try it! This is by far the best natural haircare site on UA-cam!
Unfortunately, MSM did not work well with my system. I have IBS; it increased my gut issues. I'm very happy with your onion and your clay recipe. I'm good 🙏🏾 Thank you for the information 😊💕 All the best❣
I had take MSM for a little while.. used it with vitamin C. I was told it helps vitamin C dissolve into the bloodstream. Only the crystal form tho. I stopped for about two weeks and noticed my edges thinned out alot. But I've also used your onion juice recipe and saw more growth than using MSM
I've heard of MSM. I tried it by adding the powder to my hair oil & massaged my scalp with it. Not sure if I actually any results. Thanks for always sharing great information!🌿💚🌿
I purchased MSM powder and been listening to videos about the pros and cons, so I haven't taken it yet. I'm still doing research so this video was right on time. Thank you so much for all the information you've shared over the years. I missed you. I can't wait for the video about MSM being used typically.
I don't take or use MSM in any of my haircare products. Because I'm battling scarring alopecia, I'm very careful about what I put on my scalp and hair. My diet, normally pretty good, has been full of snack foods until recently. I'm getting back on track with my wellness and so my diet is returning to being healthy. I've been curious about MSM and will watch the next video to learn more. Thank you for the great information, including the linked videos.
I tried MSM last year and it had some slightly negative side effects, but it made my skin glow and I'm sure I had fewer breakouts. I think it also made my nails grow quicker too, but I didn't see much hair growth. I sometimes use MSM topically now because I didn't want to throw it away.
Thanks for your comment... I hope it helps people see that results are never guaranteed when it comes to any synthetic supplement.
You are correct, I just started taking it and have fatigue, because I was taking too much from the start. You taught the 72 yo veteran a lot. I better put onions back in my diet. Thank You. Hey, this channel is good for guys too at any age. Big hugs.
I’ve definitely been hearing about this chemical a lot, but I’d rather try to work it into my vitamin regimen, rather than topically! I definitely love the thoroughness of this video as well. Thank you queen!

So glad you’re posting again. Just started using MSM 1/8 tsp, noticed growth, stronger hair and nails. I also make your onion juice recipe
I used Mam and found that it really worked for my arthritis pains and I also noticed a difference to my hairgrowth! I am in!
I purchased MSM and was taking it for a short while because I saw something on UA-cam mention it and i thought it would help my CCCA but i stopped before i could finish my first bag. They didn’t have the science behind their video like you did. I am better able to understand what it really does in the body now. Thanks for being such a great help to those of us out here struggling to keep hair on our scalps.
I add msm crystals in my water and drink all day. It's been almost a year now and i notice my hair has been growing longer since.
Do u stop for three months then continue or you don’t stop at all and just take it everyday
Does it taste gross though? And to warm water?
@@dessybaby it depends on how much you add to your water. I am good with a tsp of msm in 16oz water and i let it sit over night in room temp water, but you can add just 1/4 of a tsp to 32oz water for a start. If that's still too much for you, do half of a 1/4 untill you acquire the taste. Doesn't taste bad but can give you headache if you add too much. Also made me pee a lot when i started it 😂, people experience different side effects. But hey, doesn't hurt to try, and get the crystal one. Got mines from Amazon...about $30 or a little more. Hope this helps 😃.
@@funwithmyla1491 i take it everyday and only take a break when i do a detox, which is every 4 or 6 months
@@mkoly7203 thank you
Thank you for another educative. I have been taking MSM ( a teaspoon daily) for six weeks now with my orange juice since I learned that Vitamin C helps with the body's absorption of MSM. And yes, I have noticed an increase in my energy levels, hair growth ( especially my edges) and my nails ( they are much stronger now and don't break so easily).
Luckily, I haven't had any side effects since I always try to drink a lot of water.
I guess I will have to give myself a break after I reach week 8.
Any updates?
My deep conditioner contains MSM. I was a little nervous to take it internally but I feel better taking it topically. Love your channel!
Whats the name of ur deep conditioner?
I purchased MSM last year and was taking it with vitamin C and will plan to restart it soon now watching this video. Thanks.
I started taking MSM a few months ago but I did not stick with it long enough to see results. It did help me drastically increase my water intake though, which was good! I was so afraid of the detox symptoms so I was really mindful about my hydration. I love how informative these videos are, thank you!
I haven't tried MSM yet and probably won't take it internally but am curious to find out more about its topical uses, great vid as always by the way!
Hello, Professor Greenbeauty. This video is right on time for me. I purchased MSM over the new year, but have yet to incorporate into my regimen. Now, after taking detailed notes while watching this video, I feel like I can add MSM in an informed, educated manner. Thank you and I am looking forward to the next video in the MSM series about using it topically.
I'm thinking about trying Msm. But didn't trust the information I received about the product. To be honest I was waiting to see your review. I love how you break down hair trends.
I've taken MSM in the past. I use to add it to my aryvedic hair oils but recently stopped because I realized it was not soluble in oils. I also took it several mornings in water with a bit of vitamin C or orange juice. It really helped with my back pains I'd grown accustomed to and I noticed my hair grew in fuller. I may return to taking it orally for a month or two.
I am 78 yrs old and quit taking several yrs ago for some unknown reason. Recently my body started hurting all over and I got weak and felt awful. I saw a ad on my cell phone a couple Sundays ago. I grabbed up my Happy Bodies MSM and starting taking it again with vita C and now two weeks later I feel almost normal again. and I will be going out to walk my little dog again every day. I will never quit taking MSM again. My doctor took X-rays when I started hurting all over and said I had arthritis from my head to my toes. Now after two weeks of twice daily taking MSM and vita C I feel good again. It works.
Peace! So good to see you!!! As always, LOVE the video. I'm a regular MSM taker. I use the crystal form and follow pretty much the regime you have. WATER consumption is KEY when taking MSM!!! I definitely see and feel the faster recovery after a workout. My nails are definitely stronger and my fine strands don't break so easy. Looking forward to the next video!!! 🙏🏿🥳
I tried MSM years ago and saw some thickness in my hair. I would take one MSM capsule and one BIOTIN capsule daily. Nails got stronger and hair thicker. I didn’t have any negative reactions from using. I have also tried the onion rinse! Both with positive results!! I look forward to your external use video. Thank you for all of the research and information you provide!!
I literally bought biotin *and* msm today. The bottles are sitting next to me😂I’m getting the length I want but not so much increase in thickness which is what I want most. Happy to see this.
I've been taking MSM for more than 20 years. Even though I've lost hair to alopecia, when I take it consistently, the remaining hair grows longer, my nails grow longer and healthier and my skin clears up. When I stop taking it, those benefits diminish. It also alleviates pain in my joints and muscles by relieving inflammation. I love this stuff!
I was recently doing an MSM growth challenge and had to stop early after 3 weeks. I think the dosage was ramping up too quickly for what my body could handle but I must say I was definitely starting to see a difference in my hair. And it was also working wonders for my joint pain. I’m going to give it a few weeks break and start again just keeping the dosage at a minimum for now.
Wow , I start with 1/4 tsp for a week just in the morning , then added the night . Then 1/2 tsp etc ....
I have never and do not plan on taking MSM🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️
I'M trying to be so faithful to the tips you give on your channel already 🤩🤩🤩🤩
My hair is extremely dry and I’ve had trouble retaining length for YEARS despite having a solid regimen. I’ve noticed that I’m able to retain more length with MSM, the onion/garlic treatment, & the lco method. It’s been a staple for the past year & no side effects thankfully 💪🏾🙏🏾
How do u do the garlic /onion treatment ?
@@blessed9491 I cut up about 1/2 or 1 onion with 2 garlic cloves. Let it simmer for 10 minutes in 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water. Let it cool down. Rinse my hair with it and let it sit for as long as I can stand it, usually 20 mins. The Green Beauty on UA-cam has a video about it :)
@@Kimberlyshelene thanks for replying n will check out her channel too
I have been using MSM off and on for a year. I got terrible headaches and bloating. But I saw the difference in my hair. I'll be giving it a rest for a while
Drink more water.
Thank you for making this video.
As Black people, our obsession with hair growth has reached excess. All of this to retain length and grow healthy hair? I’ll stick to the less is more principle.
!!!!
I agree with you, imagine getting sick because you were trying to get long hair🤦
@@checksanto me too. I only use shampoo conditioner water grease
Say it again.
I don't know if the obsession is so much hair growth because hair will grow regardless unless there is a disease process going on. I think we are obsessed with the actual length of our hair showing and shrinkage becomes an issue and heat me come into play to show all of those inches and then damage which then causes the hair to break. I think there might be an obsession with how fast hair grows. More focus should be placed on the health of the hair so that all those inches can be retained! :-)
I have used MSM in the past. I started with a teaspoon. Perhaps I will try the schedule you shared in this video. And Yes!! I am in!!! I don't have instagram... However, I am hopeful. Thanks again for the video, you are flowing.🥰🥰🥰
Omg girl thank you, this is the video I needed. I just started watching the video but I had to comment. I’ve started using msm and biotin and I love it so far.
Great video as usual. Have never tried msm and don’t plan to. The onion method you provide works for me. Sometimes I add ginger and tumeric to it as well. Nt sure if those do anything bt i love herbal stuff 🤗🤗🤗
I was just researching this and fenugreek!!! This video has the perfect timing! My all time favorite UA-camr!!!!!’
I have multiple degrees in computer science so research is my forte. I will not entertain or attempt any UA-cam influencers suggestions until I fully research and review actual studies myself.
Can you please address fenugreek and hair growth? I was pondering on adding MSM to hair oil concoction maybe my deep conditioner but not taking it orally. I can’t wait to see this next video I’m so intrigued!!
i love fenngreek, it doesnt spoil as early as the rest and it smells like maple syrup
I use fenugreek mixed with aloe Vera from the actual leaf. It has my hair growing and stronger after wearing box braids on fine hair. I let the seeds sit in alkaline water then blend the water fenugreek and aloe Vera. I apply to my hair in generous amounts. I don’t was out, but some people do.
@@taz9234 I’m fearful of the high protein content. Therefore I’m skeptical on using it habitually. How often do you use it?
Yes i totally agree. I def wanna learn more about fenugreek and all of its chemical properties. That would be super kool
I don't plan on consuming mom for now. Just adding a dab to my oil mix.
Hey Momma, how are you & the baby?
I take MSM & have for the last 2 months. I also added it to my hair products. I have no side-effects currently & will be taking March off as far as orally taking the crystals. I waited until I was done breastfeeding & after I noticed my hair was balding on the sides, I changed my regimen. I cook with onions & scallions daily. I’ve enjoyed your channel for years & plan on making another batch of onion spritz since it’s been a while. Lastly, my hair’s become stronger & experiencing way less breakage as a result.
If you haven’t had your baby yet, rest up & much blessings. It’s a lot of work
I already take MSM and I love it. It’s helped a lot with my joints.
I'm 33 yrs old and for the first time I've just learned what msm is. I think I will hold off trying it for the moment as I have just began my onion juice regimen. I'm looking forward to seeing more information about this in future videos 🤗
I've been taking MSM crystals for 3 months and my hair is flourishing! I didn't build up the dose because I didn't know to do that lol but I take between half to 1 teaspoon daily. I'll start to cut that into two doses as you suggest.
I use MSM in my daily food regimen. I take 1/8 - 1/4 tsp with a bottle of water daily or as often as 3-4 times a week. The reason I start taking MSM was for the benefits of my bones. My daily work would result to walking(heavy lifting) about 20k-22k steps daily. I also used MSM in my dobermans daily water as he was 14 years old & his bones...I noticed that I am not as achy as I use to be & when my body needs a break it gives me diarrhea. 😉🤷🏾♀️👌🏾 Thank you for sharing your gift & knowledge.
I used MSM as a supplement and I started growing hair on my face, so I now only add it to my hair growth oils and my hair masks
Did it go back to normal at least after you stopped?
@@mayamorabito1669 nope. I now have to pluck them when they grow out
Used it years ago, don't remember if it really had any benefits .. don't think I'm going to try it any time soon ..
I appreciate all your doing by keeping us informed 🙌🏽
Omg!!! I literally JUST bought some! I haven’t watched this video yet as I’m about film a video 😂 BUT I had to come and comment because it’s sooo crazy you uploaded this and I’m about to start using it! I can’t wait to hear the gems your gonna drop!
I LOVE your channel and always learn SO much from you!💜💜💜💜
Just started 1/2 tsp of MSM. Not sure about hair benefits, but it has helped with my joints.
I tried using it MSM internally a couple years ago but decided it wasn't for me. So I don't plan to use it internally or topically in the future. I've recently started trying the onion juice recipe you posted on your channel and have been trying to increase my use of onions and garlic in my everyday cooking to get the sulfur my body needs. Thanks for the video! 😊
Grateful always..I looking forward to learn about external use of MSM.
Best channel about hair!
I really love how scientific you are. And your hair looks beautiful and healthy!
Thank you
I used to use it in my dc for my hair so I can't wait for your video on that. I've been working out lately and considered trying it internally, but by the end of the video, I think I'll stick to the natural more healthy alternatives. ❤
Nice to see you back pray everything is going well. I have used MSM I did notice headaches if I didn't drink enough water. I keep stopping and starting so I can't say if it did anything for me. I used the powder form in a glass of water every morning. Started with 1/8 tea and only increased to 1/2 that's all I could handle 😆. The 1tea gave me real bad headache.
I’ve used MSM on and off both internally and topically.
I plan to go back to using it not mainly for hair growth but for it’s help with joints and osteoarthritis. The “hair growth” if any, would just be a bonus side effect.
Lucid dreams and delayed + heavy periods are the worst side effects for most women including myself.
Nice to have you back! @greenbeauty I’ve watched all your videos a hundred times
I have taken MSM internally for years and will continue to do so. I am going to pay more attention to the results this time. I also have some DMSO on hand for CAREFUL topical use for joint pain and inflammation. Sanitation is a must with DMSO!!! It penetrates and carries things so sanitizing is required before use. Some people use MSM with vitamin c together for skin clearing and brightening. I am about to start a round of tablets but will switch to powder for sure after seeing this video. Thank you for the thoughtful content as always.
Nope, I'm not taking MSM at all. The side effects seem dangerous. I'll stick to onion and garlic for topical use in my hair care regimen.
I ONLY use MSM topically.
I can't see myself using it internally.
@@valerieneal2747 how do you use your MSN? Do you buy the powder form? Mix it with different products then apply? And how often do you apply weekly?
@Lee Lee What are the side effects if applied tropically?
@@amoolyareddy8810 hey, I remember watching a video of a woman making a hair growth oil with MSM and listed the side effects using it topically but I forgot 😅 but you can definitely search it up on the internet or UA-cam.
Yes im highly allergic to antibiotics with sulfer in them I go instantly into shock and can die 😭😭
I'm in! Cant wait for the video on the topical use. I tried taking it last year, but the taste was awful, and i could not tolerate the side effects. Thanks for this video. It was, as always, very informative!I
